The hotel, the staff and all the activities in the hotel left only wonderful impressions. We were at the hotel 22.01.25 - 23.01.25. The location is excellent, 5 minutes walk from the station, the staff is very friendly. We came with my mother, asked to check in earlier, since my mother has a problem with her legs (she is sick). We were kindly checked in before 15:00 and my mother was glad that she was able to rest after the train. The room is bright, the bed is clean, the shower and toilet are very clean, the room is very quiet, despite the location - close to the trains. The breakfast is very good, hearty, a large selection for every taste. I recommend the hotel 👍

This is the hotel that Bayreuth (the locus of some really terrible places to stay--I could name one in particular but won't) has always needed. No frills, clean , comfortable and most importantly, at the foot of the Green Hill,within walking distance of the Festspielhaus. Wonderful beds. Spacious, immaculate bathrooms. Great staff. Superb breakfast. Not luxurious, just perfect for the purposes of Wagner pilgrims. Extremely well run. House keeping schedule keyed to opera times .

Nothing but bravos

The best part of this hotel was the staff, who were all helpful, attentive, efficient, friendly, indeed charming. The hotel is newish and everything was clean, worked, and looked good. The rooms were pleasant and efficiently laid out with a good shower. The sound-proofing was excellent, which it needs to be as the hotel is literally right next to the train tracks. This makes it ideal to get to by train -- it's only 2-300m from the station on a straight, flat walk. And is just metres from coach stops. The area is fine and the location is really good: it's a 10 min walk into the old Centre and similar to the Festspielhaus for anyone attending the annual Wagnerian music festival, which were and so, it seemed, were a lot of our fellow guests. (The demand reflected the high price; I imagine it's much more reasonably priced at less busy times). A good spread at breakfast, re-filled by busy, efficient staff, with really good hours (06:30-10:30, 11:00 at weekends) -- just a minor gripe about the lack of decent coffee. The hotel bar, with pizza snacks etc, is open 24h, which is a boon. We'd definitely use again.

Minor issues with breakfast: filter coffee flasks were there, but never appeared to be filled; the do-it-yourself coffee filter was impossible to use, which meant the only coffee option was the usual low-quality standard hotel machine fare.

The hotel is an easy walk from the train station. It is also a brief stroll to the Festspielhaus, the centre of town, and restaurants. The breakfast options were wide enough for my coeliac husband to have a hearty meal every day. The coffee was strong and the nibbles with a wine after the opera were welcome. We were able to have an iron and ironing board in the room for days so that clothes could be pressed as needed and we borrowed an umbrella when the rain kept falling.

The Wi-Fi was irregular for me — but not for my husband (?) — and so all my monthly data was used up in the 8 days we were there. A minor nuisance.

We had to cut short our visit and return much earlier than the planned duration due to a death in our family. The hotel staff were courteous enough to refund the amount for the unused duration even after we haid paid the full amount upfront. I had similar situation with another hotel chain but they did not refund the amount.

We chose this accomodation while travelling along A9 towards Munich. The place is centrally located - can reach the Old Town of Bayreuth within 10 minutes.walk. We could park our car through pretty all following day - so kept it during sightseeing. Rooms themselves are decorated in good taste, with elements of monkeys - our children did love it. Beds were comfortable, bathroom spacious enough and clean. We especially liked the fact that in the dining room downstairs You can find a playing corner for children - when they finished breakfast did not have to wait by the table but already spent received energy. Bright interior makes Your mood good for the Morning. We arrived during the night - staff was very helpful.

It is not a negative - just a precaution: 2 hotels "meet" at the reception: the Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget - take care in which one You booked the accomodation.

Clean, comfortable room. Everything maintained well. For recognition needs a very good breakfast with real variety of products and great coffee. Another important thing is the location that is really near to the center and old city, just a few minutes walk. It was perfect choice for the value/money, for sure recommend.

Comfortable big bed. Silence in the room. Warm room and very clean bathroom.

I would have the electric kettle. For me it's important to have hot tea before my sleep time and in the early morning. And not every day I had the bottle of water. If I needed it I asked at the cleaning service. It's not always convenient and comfortable.

Great location, near station and within very easy walking distance of the Festspielhaus. Very helpful, friendly staff. Very clean and also very quiet (considering how near the hotel is to the railway!)

The beds were two singles pushed together and we don’t think we would have asked for that option (and would prefer a proper double bed). The beds were not particularly comfortable, though there was a supposedly soft extra mattress top. There is no way of making a drink in the room. A simple kettle would be really helpful!

Liked the location of the hotel, was quiet, staff was helpful, room was clean.

You had to pay for water, which was more expensive than at the shop and the nearest shop closed early in the evening. Also a simple coffee from a machine at the bar was 9 euros.
