Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and spacious. We didn't require room service as we were there for only 3 nights. The breakfast was also plentiful and offered a choice of a full buffet breakfast for 25 Euros or an easy breakfast consisting of a cup of coffee and 3 small croissants with butter and jam for 8 Euros Since we're not big breakfast eaters, the second choice was perfect.

No closet, just 6 hangers.and no dresser. either. If we were staying for a longer period of time, that would be an issue. As is, we made do. Although I would still have preferred a small closet

Very good hotel overall. Nice, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Location is good - next door to the KaDeWe, and tons of other stores in the main shopping street of berlin, as well as restaurants and cafes. U bahn station right in front of the hotel plus lots of buses run nearby, and 10 min walk/one station away from the big transit hub at the zoological garden station. Breakfast was good, had a decent variety of the regular foods one expects in a breakfast buffet, everything is fresh, but nothing special.

Water temperature in the shower is limited to 40 degrees celcius, which is sufficient, but if you like really hot water that won't be enough. As mentioned the location on one hand is great with lots of stores and public transport connectivity options, but on the other hand pretty far away from most tourist destinations in the city. So apart from the said stores nearby, nothing is really within walking distance.

Great location close to metro and buses, lots of shops, bars, cafés around and very calm neighborhood. The room was spacious, the ac worked great and the amenities were good- small fridge, kettle with tea and coffee provided. There's also big closet to store your luggage. Friendly staff. We didn't use the breakfast service but there's two options - buffet breakfast for 25 euro and small breakfast for 8 euro. The beds were comfy, the pillows were okay too. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again (despite the haunting woman posters).

Very questionable design choice with the huge posters of a woman over the bed and in the shower (the weirdest part), when I was browsing the photos of the hotel before booking I thought it was just a sort of watermark on the photos, I didn't think they would really be there in person, definitely a really weird choice, especially putting a huge photo of a woman in a wedding dress like attire on the shower doors Also the bathroom was not ventilated at all, and by the end of our stay there started to be a smell from canalisation. We had to leave the bathroom door open all the time when not in use, to let it get some air flow

It is located în a quiet area, even though it's pretty busy, surrounded by restaurants with terraces that are full with people in the evening- there's a nice atmosphere. I liked the interior design ( for the hotel and the room), I especially liked the bathroom: well build-in, everything on hand, small things that make a difference: the tables, the tidyness, the lights, the receptionist. Metro station is în front of the hotel.

I couldn't say..... One personal thing that it has become very comon today: that windows can't be opened for a breath of fresh air, but only half-open - for security reasons obviously

The location is central and ideal for using the metro since the station is just across the street. The room was super clean and comfortable, the staff was very polite, always smiling and helpful, and the best thing was, at least for me and my family, the free bottles of water in the fridge, being refiled every day. We loved our stay and will definitely come back again!

Probably the breakfast's small discount for children. For an adult the price is normal, but for kids who don't eat that much is a little different. Other than that everything was perfect!

The location, with good restaurants very near, the staff, the stylish decor of the lounge, the complimentary water on arrival and the possibility to refill your bottle any time. Room quite large and absolutely clean. They stored our luggage as our flight was late in the afternoon. All-you-can-eat breakfast, a bit expensive though.

No desk in our bedroom, duvets made it too hot to sleep, as we didn't want to switch on AC at the start of May (it's all very good to be green on hotel laundry and plastic bottles, but AC also has an impact!)

A picture of questionable women right on the wall by the bed. It was soooo disturbing that I had to cover it with a bed cover. I couldn’t enjoy my time with my friend always thinking about her face. The hotel managers / owners must immediately consider removing this picture and replacing it with something completely neutral. The picture basically traumatised me. And it is very easy to fix.

I have travelled a lot and Berlin was always one of my main destinations. But after stayin in Mercure Berlin Wittenbergplatz, honestly, I'll never ever stay in some other Hotel! Everything was more than superb - from the first correspondence with Marina in the Reception, who could absolutely be the Hospitality Personnel Role Model of the Year. All of the work was perfect, all Questions answered immediately, work was Quick, polite, professional yet Friendly! She really made a Guest feeling like she's welcome from the first e-mail on. The hotel on General and the Room in particular was really clean, all the cleaners very helpful and professional, the Restaurant lady (didnt ask the Name) very welcoming and friendly. All in all - if You want to have a real experience of the Hospitality Business best way possible, visit Mercure Hotel Wittenbergplatz!

Excellent location near to u-bahn and to Ka De We store. Very clean an stylish. Comfortable rooms. Very helpful staff.

The only thing that I did not like was the strange enormous image of a woman that was a design feature in both the bedroom and bathroom. It loomed over the bed and covered the shower screen. Its a design disaster and a bit creepy.

Restaurant manager rude as hell. I’d just had surgery and returned to hotel for a couple of hours to recoup before flight. I queued at the bar for a good 5 minutes whilst he stood with his back to us facing the restaurant even though he’d seen us. When he did turn around he said “can you come over here to me please” refusing to actually rotate and take 4-5 steps to us. We did walk over and he said “yes you want breakfast?” And I corrected him and said “no I just wanted a drink to take to my room please” and he therefore walked over to where we had been queuing to get said drink. I don’t know this irritated my so much but it seemed obnoxiously rude and petty that he would stand with his back to us refusing to engage because he wanted us to walk to him. Ridiculous customer service
