The check-in process was probably the worst part: - Most of the messages were in German, which made me feel somewhat unwelcome as a foreigner. - After I filled in the necessary information on an online platform, I had to request confirmation via phone or WhatsApp. This felt unnecessary — and if it was required, it should have been initiated by the host. Also, the platform was not particularly user-friendly. The balcony was great, but I couldn't enjoy it because it was very dirty — not just a day or two uncleaned, but clearly more. We tried to clean the chairs and table, but using only napkins wasn’t enough, so we gave up.

This accommodation offers a good value for money. The room was spacious, modern in old beautiful building and bed was comfortable. Bathrooms are new. Even had a nice balcony. Very silent road so no noise in rooms.

I think the accommodation could consider some expectation management and improve communications with people who have booked accommodation. This is not really a hotel as there is no services typical for hotel: front reception, breakfast, laundry service, free internet etc. The accommodation sends automatic information email for guests after they have done check in. In the message, it says that you should inform the hotel your breakfast preference by certain hour. The trick is that the hotel does not serve breakfast. So some hiccups here and there. If this was called "self-check in motel etc", expectations of guest would be managed and they would be positively surprised.

- no air conditioning - door handles with a code are a bit annoying - knocking on the door before the end of the hotel day was definitely a minus, I was very stressed and felt like someone was throwing me out when I still had some time before check-out. That was awful

The hotel is very stylish, in a calm and nice quarter of Berlin. The room was comfortable despite its small size. It is well equipped, we got also a travel bed for our toddler. The bathroom was also spacious enough and very clean. We had also heating that was very pleasent in those cold april days in Berlin. The hotel has also a living-room like lobby where you can get a free coffee/tee and have some cosy time while your child is sleeping in the room. Although we didn't meet the staff, they were extrem helpful as we left there a book and they were kind enough to find it and send it to us via DHL.

The hotel has no parking place, but we were lucky enough to find a free slot on the street just in front of the building. We decided to leave our car there as it was weekend and it was cheaper to pay for the hourly parking fee as the whole days in the parking house. The other little thing that was a bit disturbing was the automatic light in the room and its switch panel was blinking during next to the bed during the night - so we just covered it :D

I would have put a maximum score to my evaluation had it not been so difficult to check in. Checking in is supposed to happen upon reception of a code to enter the room as there is no staffed reception. The procedure did not work and took a lot of time, many phone calls and in the end staff intervention to be able to check into our rooms. Other than that, the room was extremely comfortable, clean and quiet. No breakfast on premises but options in the close neigbourhood.

price, clean, comfortable, free coffee. easy registration, no need to keep the key with you (everything is opened with a secret code). clean bed, clean room, strong water pressure in the shower, everything you need is available.

only one thing was when the hotel staff woke everyone up in turn at 9:40. They opened the door and, without entering the room, reminded us that check-out was coming soon. Check-out is at 11:00, and I believe that there is no need to warn about this so early, especially by opening the door. Even keeping in mind that they only opened it slightly and did not enter the room. I think that check-out should be reminded at 11:05 for those who have not yet checked out.

Location in a suburb I am familiar with. Very pleasant for walking any time of the day and night, good transport options, hip...but eating out is relatively expensive. Spoilt for choice of bakeries for breakfast nearby. Room was all right, recently renovated older hotel. Everything clean, tidy. Staff very polite and helpful.

No aircon might be inconvenient in hot weather. Limited parking options, but who needs a car in Berlin?

The bed was comfortable. The shower was excellent. I was very pleased to know that reception offered me early check in as per my request. I really enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee that was offered throughout the day.

The exhaust fan in my bathroom was incredibly loud, I didn't feel at peace to take a long bath.

Great continental breakfast and the location was perfect for visiting our family in Berlin

Only 30 minutes free wifi each day, which seems incredibly mean. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and out into the bedroom. They seemed very keen to get us out on our final morning with the cleaner lurking outside our bedroom door from about an hour before checkout time.

The room was large and pleasantly lit by high windows looking onto trees in the pleasant district of Schöneberg. The building has charm. Thanks to the wonderful traditional system of double wooden windows, the room was very calm.

Digital check-in and check-out is a problem and stressful if you are not constantly connected to a smart-phone. Though the staff was helpful over the phone, it would be better if it wasn't the only option. Also, there is no place to leave luggage because there is no reception.
