I liked the location and the price. It's close to the subway. You can quickly get where you need to go. Nearby there are stores. The room is clean and tidy. Before check-in, be sure to take a video photo of any cosmetic defects in the room. This is so that the deposit of 150 can be refunded.

Amazing friendly and helpful staff!! . Special Shoutout to roksana at the frost desk and the other lady receptionist that exchanged the broken tv remote control late at night . Gay friendly, walking distance to gay bars , parks, restaurants, convenience stores and a short subway ride to Berlin’s tourist attractions.

Very poor lighting in rooms ( I guess they are going for a dark intimate look ) but definitely not practical when you are getting ready in the morning. Also, rooms lack proper amount of closet space for a comfortable stay over 2 days ) . Not a problem if you are visiting for a quick weekend trip by yourself.

I had a wonderful two-night stay at the Axel Hotel in Berlin, and I want to give special thanks to Valentina at the front desk, who made my experience truly exceptional. She was incredibly kind, polite, and helpful throughout my visit, always ready to assist with anything I needed. As a lovely surprise, Valentina offered me a complimentary upgrade to a suite, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I truly appreciated the gesture and her thoughtfulness. She also kindly checked if it was possible for me to check out an hour later than the standard time, which was very helpful. Her warm and professional attitude really stood out and contributed to a fantastic overall experience. Thank you again, Valentina, for the great hospitality!

I stayed in a suite at the Axel Hotel in Berlin, and while the room was spacious and generally comfortable, there were a few issues that impacted my overall experience. The "double bed" was actually made up of two single beds placed next to each other, which wasn’t ideal. There was also a window in the room that couldn’t be covered, which made it difficult to block out the light. Additionally, there was no shower gel in the dispenser, and even after I requested a refill, it was never taken care of. The bathtub was not as clean as I would have expected, and some of the window handles were broken, making it impossible to open certain windows. While the size of the suite was great, I believe a bit more attention to these details would have made the stay much more enjoyable.

This hotel is in a great location - near the U Bahn and public transportation, plus close to so many bars and restaurants. The staff at the front desk, especially Kevin, was so helpful, friendly and cheerful. The room was small but had everything we needed, including a very comfortable bed and a shower with great temperature control and water pressure. The breakfast was abundant and tasty with friendly and smiley staff.

Our room was directly above the restaurant which played very loud music until late (1 am) two of the three nights. I would not recommend this hotel to people who are not in Berlin to go out and party. Thankfully we returned home around this time each night so it wasn't too disruptive. The rooms and the hotel in general are quite dated (I felt like I was in a 1980s music video at times). It could definitely use a facelift.

As a many time returning guest again i must say that this place is improving a lot. The level of cleanlines now much higher.. Staff super efficient , lifts clean and quick, spa spotless and always sufficient amount of towels.

Again as in previous reviews, i would suggest to the management to remove all the carpeting from the hallways ( red carpeting) looks so worn out and takes away a lot from the new improvements. As well as the carpets in the rooms, they also look tired and make the room no justice . Hope this gets taken into consideration

Fantastically located mostly gay hotel in Schöneberg close to lots of bars and some good restaurants. I was upgraded to a beautiful suite room with loads of light, great views and good soundproofing too. I only had breakfast in the hotel on one morning but it was delicious and quick. Otherwise there are plenty of cafes nearby. There is a very good gym on the top floor with dumbells, a bench and some machines - much better than most hotel gyms. And the staff were lovely.

There are some signs of wear and tear in the rooms as it's not a new hotel, but these are minor.

Really comfortable room. Nice lighting. Toiletry products provided (tho please stop using plastic). Nice sauna and jacuzzi and easy to meet people. Friendly reception staff. It was good to be offered an upgrade to a suite, even if I didn’t take it. (Suite was on front and do noisy and it also smelled of chemicals. )

Rooms smelled of chemical cleaning products. Floor to ceiling windows with no balustrade outside are frankly lethal eg for someone who is visually impaired or drunk. This absence and safely is potent negligent and this needs to be fixed in all rooms ASAP. Lock on hire bike was broken so couldn’t rent a bike.

The staff was friendly. The room was nice and had a good view of the courtyard. The location was perfect for easy access to the U-Bahn and LGBTQ nightlife. Close to restaurants and shopping too.

Sometimes the sauna worked, sometimes it was cold. The "hot" tub was cold for my entire visit. Other guests said the hot tub hasn't been working for a while and it doesn't seem like the hotel is trying to fix it quickly. Also, while the room technically did have an air conditioning vent, it was not cold at all. Take a deep breath, and let it out slowly. That's what the air conditioning felt like (lukewarm, slow, and ineffective). The air conditioning felt like a 90 year old blowing out the candles on their birthday (struggling). The weather was cooler at night and I opened the windows to achieve actual cooler air flow.
