I was sent an email to prompted to make the payment for securing my booking even though I chose to pay at the property while booking from booking.com - "We would like to inform you that the room rate you have booked requires an advance payment. Attached you will find a payment link to your booking xx40x0xx We kindly ask for your understanding in that we cannot maintain the reservation without your prepayment. If payment is not received within 72 hours of the link being sent, the hotel reserves the right to cancel the reservation."

Of the three hotels I have stayed at in Köln, this was the absolute best. Location was perfect for festival at Tanzbrunnen and for shopping and cultural activities. Close to a range of public transit, good selection of eateries close by and the breakfasts were brilliant. The hotel spa was fantastic and I especially enjoyed a long massage. Room was spacious and I had a nice view of the Rhine. If I return the Amphi festival for a 4th time, I will definitely book here again.

Absolutely no complaints. A very relaxing stay.

Excellent shower and hot water, the bathroom worked perfect all the time. Perfect bed, not so much for the pillows but that's too personal honestly, the mattress excellent. The room is big and well equipped with an awesome TV with chromecast included. The service attention couldn't be better. They even stored the luggage on check-out so we could go to lunch The location is good, really close to the center and cathedral.

The beverages in the fridge super expensive, 5 euros a coke or a beer is simply too much. Last 2 days the cleaning was not so good, they did not clean up the table at all, nor replaced the used tea cups. Pillows were not so comfortable as the bed was.

The location is excellent. The service was great and friendly; despite being fully booked and lot going on everywhere. At the beginning, the requested extra bed was not there, but once I told them, the staff did everything possible to sort it out fast, even if they needed to do it while our dog was alone in the room. They were super nice to our dog too and the hotel prepared the room for her stay.

We liked it all! Nothing to complain!... but maybe you can a add a nice and visible "dogs not allowed" sign in the lounge/club and avoid the uncomfortable moment of telling the guest that their dog is not allowed once they are already enjoying the lounge.

very professional staff, a great location and very nice rooms

I think it is unacceptable that you hold a large sum of money against a credit card. Well after the room payment has been completed. This amounts to thousands of dollars that should be returned to the client within a week of their stay. I believe this practice is simply greed and totally unfair to the client. Whilst I loved the hotel not having the funds returned to the credit card some weeks after the stay has tainted what was at the time a pleasant time.

The breakfast was truly exceptional, unlike anything I've experienced at any other hotel—way beyond expectations! Although it was a bit crowded and perhaps some additional tables could be added, as there seemed to be space available, it didn't detract from the quality. Simply amazing! The hotel didn't charge for parking, which might seem like a small detail, but it felt generous—especially considering that most German hotels do charge for parking. Given the hotel's prime location right in the heart of the city, this was a much-appreciated bonus! The location is undoubtedly one of the best features of this fabulous hotel!

I can't think of anything negative worth mentioning!

Everything! The beds are massive, our room was fabulous. We slept so well each night. Breakfast is so lovely and lots of choice. The staff are so friendly and helpful and will organize anything you need help with. The location of the hotel is perfectly placed and everything is on your doorstep. There are other restaurants on site too giving lots of choice, and we ate in Grissini which had food to die for, it was incredible. We enjoyed the stay so much and 100% would come back & highly recommend.

I emailed the property before our stay to say, we had just got married and this would be our little honeymoon and if they could do anything for the room it would be appreciated. We received a message back to say "Honeymoon amenities" would be put into our room upon arrival. However when we got there, nothing was there. So I asked reception, and they said they would sort it. But still nothing arrived 1 day later. So I messaged them via Booking.com, and finally we received a lovely bottle of Champagne & chocolates. It was really appreciated, just a shame I had to ask twice.

We liked everything. The location was brilliant and a short walk to the Catherderal. IT was also nice to be able to look back onto the city from this side of the river. The breakfast was perfect with lots of options to satisfy you. The room was large and very clean. Not to mention, the staff were excellent and very helpful and looked after us very nicely. I would love to stay again on my next visit.

Nothing to comment here, everything suited our needs perfectly.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Cologne with our family and absolutely loved it. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location is great — easily accessible even from the main train station. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. One of the highlights was the stunning view of Cologne Cathedral right from the hotel. We were truly impressed and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Staff was well trained, polite and ready to help. The room was really good, beautiful, and clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was nice and equipped with a beautiful and new bathtub. The room was really quiet and we could barely hear anything from the surroundings. Breakfast was expensive (around 40 euros p.p.) but was worth it, with plenty of options for both drink and food. When going with a car, the parking lot Tiefgarage Triangle is definitely the best option.
