Artem was fantastic. I called at 2 am, sobbing because of a terrible experience at a nearby hostel. Everywhere else was closed for the night, full, or hundreds of euros per night, but I was alone and exhausted and needed to leave immediately. He made sure I was safe, then told me everything would be okay. He very kindly asked me to take a deep breath, gather my things, and come over to the Catalonia Vondel Amsterdam Hotel immediately. By the time I arrived, he would have room options available for me to consider. I was so grateful for his kindness and empathy when I was alone in a foreign city. When I arrived, he gave me room options and got me booked in. I could see the pride he had in the hotel and in providing excellent customer service. The day I checked out, he was there and was very happy to see me in much better spirits! Thank you so much, Artem! You truly saved the day!

Comfortable boutique hotel. Don't expect large rooms; this is a traditional Dutch house adapted to be a hotel-like establishment. The rooms are comfortable, but limited in space. That said, they are well-designed, and the space is well-distributed. The breakfast was well stocked and tasty. The crew is 10/10, they make you feel at home, and are always on hand to help

It has the downsides of a traditional Dutch home: steep stairs and an almost labyrinthine layout. But those to me are also some of its charm, and it does not in any way get in the way of enjoying your stay.

Great location. Within walking distance to all of main attractions. Trams are short distance away as well. The reception team are amazing! Super friendly and helpful! The AC was a god send!!!

We had room 104 which was in basement. No issues there but the noise from above was annoying. Our housekeeper also walked into our room at 9am despite the DND sign on door. The next day after a long day we arrived back at 3pm and room wasn't clean despite leaving at 7am for a trip. We didn't bother as was our last night so didn't mind.

We were upgraded to a wonderful room that was spacious and beautiful. The front desk staff was so helpful and even provided me with duct tape to use to repair my luggage that go damaged on this trip. Just an all around friendly and comfortable place to stay with a really great location close to the museums.

I thought the price of $18 per person for breakfast was a bit steep but it was optional and we chose not to eat breakfast at the hotel

As nice as the hotel is, which contains top-class cleanliness and over experience. The main reason we loved our stay so much was because of the staff - especially a gentlemen at the reception, named Artem, who went out of his way to look after us. Artem is a true ambassador for this hotel and we would recommend this hotel purely because of his kindness. We will stay here again next time we come Amsterdam.

Beautiful hotel, very well situated The staff were excellent, very friendly and informative..nothing was a problem for them. Art was so kind and very good at his job .Will definitely return. Breakfast was delicious . The little garden out the back is very relaxing also..

The location was excellent. The room was a good size.

The bathroom was very small. The tub/shower is extremely slippery and dangerous. I took a nasty fall in the slippery tub. There should be grippers on the tub surface.

The hotel room we stayed in was absolutely wonderful! We were offered an upgrade to a larger room and it was large a spacious with beautiful greenery views. The staff were to helpful and kind.

Excellent location five minutes walk from the three famous galleries and a beautiful park, clean, a very friendly staff. Excellent for a family trip to Amsterdam! Highly recommended.

The staff was beyond amazing. The rooms were incredibly quiet and very comfortable. Great sleep.
