The staff were so kind and thought of everything to make sure that our stay was comfortable. Mr Jourdain was close to many things and in a great neighborhood. We definitely took advantage of the complimentary coffee/tea bar and the seating area with games and books. The elevator was needed for my mother and a must when I was looking for options. Our rooms were cozy, had all the small touches, and had a great view of the canal. Beds were on the firm side, but not too hard. Not sure I’d share this size room with another person. We liked that there was the option for a continental breakfast for our early starts as many outside places didn’t open until later. Everything was also very clean.

You could hear others walking outside of the room or above. Luckily, everyone staying there was courtesy and followed the quiet hours. I would have liked an extra blanket instead of needing to turn up the radiator heater (as it dried out my skin). But they had great lotion in the lobby that I ended up using and then buying a bottle.

Location was fantastic - right in the heart of where I wanted to be. I was able to walk to all my sights from the hotel, and the street itself is beautiful. Staff were very friendly. Room itself was nice, and very clean.

It was quite noisy in the mornings. I heard it depends on which room you have, and my room was on the front street in the corridor where every guess walks down when they use the stairs, so from the early morning I could hear people talking as they went to breakfast and deliveries being delivered. Definitely couldn’t sleep in while I was here. I would like to stay here again but I’d request a room with less noise traffic.

The hotel is quaint and quirky. Nice distance from the centre so it's not noisy at night when it's busy. Room was nice, hotel very clean throughout, amazing staff. Special shout out to the lady who checked us in and the manager that sorted out the small issue. Also, a nice little food parcel on checkout was a lovely touch and just what was needed for the journey home.

No food facilities at hotel except continental breakfast and nothing nearby food wise, a little disappointing especially if your tired and want to relax in your room, after a long days travel.. However the night receptionist was helpful guiding us ordering food for delivery! Be careful when booking as pictures do t match the relevant rooms which the manager stated it was being sorted.

We loved our stay. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful, it’s incredibly cosy and homely within a great neighbourhood just a stones throw away from the action. Free hot drinks was a lovely touch and very much appreciated after a long day of walking. Great heating and tv.

We were told we could use the iron in our room, but then told by another staff member that this wasn’t allowed. We didn’t fancy taking our suitcase of clothes down to the lobby to iron in public, so this was a shame. The lift was also out of order for our entire stay, but this wasn’t much of an issue for able bodied guests.

Accomodation was in a great location. Walking distance to key tourist spots, markets and especially for Kings Day celebrations 🇳🇱🧡 Room was quiet (even on Kings night), bed was one of the more comfortable beds I’ve slept on during my travels. I travelled solo and felt safe and welcomed. The team and host provided very thoughtful touches on arrival and departure. They were thoughtful and greatly appreciated ! Bedankt!!

Wished I could stay longer. I’ll be back. If you could fix the map in the dinning area before my next visit ... I’m from New Zealand, living in Ireland. Both countries appear to be misplaced in Asia in your map…

Staff and shared areas were very good! There is complimentary hot and cold drinks and pastries available. I didn't realise until arrival that you can also have breakfast as well. Jordaan is a lovely safe neighbourhood as well, close to Anne Frank museum but a reasonable distance from main station.

Our room for 2 was quite cramped and the shower didn't have a door so the bathroom was constantly wet. The bathroom also doesn't have a strong ventilation fan so the door has to stay open to dry. Due to this, we felt we needed to change towels regularly. Also there is 1 very slow elevator in the building so its easier to take stairs most times but I can see this may be an issue for some people

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mr. Jordaan! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved waking up to a stunning view of the canal. The hotel is located in a beautiful residential neighborhood, offering both charm and tranquility. The amenities are fantastic—free tea, coffee, biscuits, and candy add such a thoughtful touch. Everything was spotless, and the level of cleanliness made my stay even more enjoyable. A special shoutout to the staff, both during the day and evening—they were genuinely warm, attentive, and provided exceptional customer service. Their kindness and hospitality made my stay so relaxing (they all deserve a pay rise!). I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

I mean the breakfast is a bit to expensive considering what’s available

We LOVED our stay at Mr. Jordaan! The staff members were incredibly welcoming and friendly! Upon checking in, a staff member shared a city map and points of interest we could enjoy during our time in Amsterdam. We were greeted every day with a smile and kind words. The hotel was in the perfect location and it was extremely clean. Tea, coffees, and sodas were offered throughout the day/night. Every afternoon, a freshly baked treat was set out for all to enjoy. (They were delicious!) We would definitely recommend Mr. Jordaan…charming property, friendly staff, and perfect location!

A warm and welcoming reception with friendly, helpful, and informative staff. We loved the cute black and white quote postcards that were free to take. In fact, we loved the black and white branding throughout. We loved the quirky dining/kitchen area with the vintage decor. We enjoyed playing the games provided whilst having a complimentary coffee, herbal water, and pastries. We had a good value for money buffet breakfast a couple of times with lots of healthy options and delicious fresh bread. The bedroom was spacious, overlooking the canal with beautiful houses opposite. The sweets on the bed on arrival were a nice touch. We loved the refillable tap water bottle provided.The bed and bedding were comfortable, and with the blackout curtains closed, we had lots of refreshing sleeps. The decor was modern and bright. The bathroom was small but perfectly formed with local eco-friendly luxurious toiletries that smell divine. The domestics did a great job keeping the room refreshed and spic and span each day. We liked that we could change the bedroom temperature to our preference. The area is the perfect location for exploring Amsterdam on foot. The Anne Frank house is minutes away. There are tram stops nearby. We appreciated the goody bag of Amsterdam treats on departure. We loved everything about this hotel and would recommend it to family and friends. Great room, perfect location, and I appreciated the generous hospitality in the room and lobby. Breakfast was fresh and tasty.

I arrived early before room was ready, and asked to check a bag. Was required to pay for the service. All other hotels offer this basic courtesy for free. It's not about the money...just a bad impression.
