Nothing but the bathroom can be more cleaner l. It was clean but need more attention

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and had all the necessary amenities. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore the area and access nearby attractions. Additionally, the breakfast options were excellent, offering a great variety of fresh and delicious choices to start the day.

I stayed in two different rooms when I came to Barcelona. as I had to travel to Andorra for a couple of days. My stay at the NH was perfect the first two nights. As for the last two nights I had noisy next guests in the next room. Music loud as well as their voices. I would recommend to check the state of your Nespresso machines perhaps as some of them are broken ;-)

We have stayed in many hotels, always travel with a dog (25 kg), and usually book 4 stars, sometimes 5. Although Gran Hotel Calderon in Barcelona has 5 stars, it still stands out very positively compared to others . When we arrived we were greeted with champagne and our dog was given a bottle of mineral water. We received a room upgrade. Our car - a Toyota bus with a height of approx. 2m - was driven by the hotel staff into a directly adjacent underground car park because the hotel's garage is limited to a height of 1.8m. Our dog was given a bed with a bowl in the room, and a toy for him was not forgotten. We were allowed to sit with our dog in the restaurant, which is directly adjacent to the breakfast room, because the tables in the breakfast room are relatively narrow and dogs are therefore not allowed there. The breakfast buffet is a dream and can't be beaten in terms of variety. The rooftop bar offers a fantastic view over Barcelona with music that you would want for such a place and the cocktails taste really good. There is no need to mention that everything is very clean and that every wish is fulfilled almost before you have expressed it. The stay was a pleasure from start to finish.

The staff was the best! Very friendly and helpful! Thank you! The location is very good. The bed big and comfortable. Wonderful air conditioning. Great swimming pool and bar with wonderful view.

A little too pricey. The bar and restaurant prices also too high. It’s a pity that the pool is closing so early, at 20:00 and I didn’t understand why. I thought for the cleaning, but one day I was at the pool at 8:30, because it opens at 08:00. And the water was still dirty and at about 8:45 they started to clean it. Why open the pool at 08:00 if it is still dirty and why close it at 20:00 if you are not going to clean it during the night? The pool is also very often full and you may not have the chance to use it. The best places at the bar are also often occupied. During the day almost all the places of the bar are in the sun, no shadow. The bar closed at 00:00.

Location and amazing roof terrace. Staff very friendly and attentive. Milk for our room came in 2 mins!

Bathroom tiling needed grouting so looked a bit on the tired side. As it’s billed as a 5star hotel - everything should be immaculate. Also, after 1 day the breakfast got a bit boring. Loads of choice but none of it top quality. Think the hotel could focus on quality over quantity here and then our stay would have surpassed expectations. But tbh it was a brilliant hotel and despite these two points we loved it and the roof and pool were lovely and not too busy as per other comments here.
