It was amazing (once you got there) a little oasis The staff were lovely especially Charlie in the restaurant and the gentleman at the pool bar The Thai Food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonable

When visiting this resort you must make sure that you take the hotel boat from the pier NOT the tourist boat as we did!! We had to drag our case to the resort which takes at least 15 minutes ( in 30degree plus heat this is no joke!) the path is single file, very steep in places and very uneven When you get to the resort please be aware that the rooms are all up a very steep incline - slopes and steps We consider ourselves quite fit and it was a real struggle getting to the room. Certainly no place for the elderly , disabled or unfit If you can accept the above then you will have a lovely stay

The room view and atmosphere is unique and beautiful. You can see monkeys out of your room in the morning, truly magical ! The swimming pool is also amazing.

The noise coming from the long tail boats is really annoying, from 6am all day until 11pm, I thought it would be okay when taking the reservation but I was surprised by how loud it is the first night there. Also, the locations is a + and a - at the same time. You are truly immersed in nature , but the walk back to railay center gets annoying really quickly ( 15min from the hotel to the main road )

One of the most unique hotels, i've ever stayed in my life. We loved the location, the nature, the squirrels and monkeys on the trees around. Rooms were big and luxurious. Railey was a 15minutes walk far on a beautiful and safe path next to the sea, so don't worry about, because it's not in the center. It' s definitely worth it. Wake up and see monkeys sitting around your balcony.

The staff at the recepcion did'nt really speak english well.

The views are incredible, breakfast is pretty decent, really good in fact, the facilities are always very clean.

There’s rats that go into the rooms. First night I found mouse poop but didn’t think much of it, the hotel is in the jungle after all. But second day two mice woke me up. I got up and was able to see where they were coming in from, and once again, there was poop all over the desk. It is the jungle, but maybe do a better inspection and maintenance of the rooms to fill up any holes.

Our stay at Railey Great View Resort was an absolutely wonderful experience, allowing us to be truly close to nature. The resort is nestled in a stunningly beautiful area, with charming bungalows hidden amongst the trees, offering a genuine sense of escape and tranquility. We were enchanted by the incredible proximity to wildlife. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and spotting lizards basking in the sun, playful monkeys swinging through the branches, and a variety of colorful birds right from our balcony was a daily delight. It was a truly immersive natural experience. The service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly wonderful and helpful at every stage of our stay, from a warm welcome to attentive service throughout. Their kindness and willingness to assist with any request made our time there even more special. We wholeheartedly recommend Railey Great View Resort to anyone seeking a beautiful, nature-filled retreat with outstanding hospitality.

The property was beautiful and well maintained, the rooms were very unique and we had an amazing view out over the bay. The pool was gorgeous overlooking the bay as well. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is family friendly which is nice to see with a luxury resort! When you see pictures and videos of Thailand resorts, this is usually the type of resort you're seeing! There are monkey families all around, lizards and birds. The restaurant is overlooking the ocean. Its really beautiful!

It is not easily accessible and it should be noted somewhere that large luggage (wheeled suitcase) is not recommended. Also that it is about 1km walk from the drop off pier to the resort. It is secluded which is nice, but the long walk with our luggage was not expected. The property also has steep concrete paths which were a bit of a hazard, but not unbearable. The treehouses also has many holes to the outside so we had a bunch of critters (salamanders, giant cockroach, mosquitoes) come in the room every night. The bed has mosquito netting around it though.

I was so impressed with everything this resort offered. The customer service and the staff were amazing, always smiling and always so helpful whenever needed. The food in this property is amazing and so cheap for the quality they provide I was absolutely shocked at the level of their food quality. The breakfast buffet also was brilliant compared to other hotel buffets in Thailand, they really go beyond to satisfy their customers. I have nothing negative to say it was absolutely brilliant, I would travel here just to eat their food and customer service it was that good. Highly recommended.

First off, when I was reading the reviews, one of the biggest complaints was about the accessibility of the resort. Personally, that was the exact reason why I loved it. It's a bit of an effort to get there - so pack light and be ready to move about. The resort is spread out over the side of a steep hill on a bay of Railay that's best accessed by a boat. Its made for an adventure. The rooms are a little dated but the space & the overall amenities within the room really made it a great stay. The food at the restaurant is awesome! Cannot recommend it enough. The staff are kind and helpful. So again carry as minimally as you can, get ready to workout those holiday food calories & prepare for some nice views, peace & quiet. Come to chill!

The boats run late, so can be bothersome to a few people. I slept through it mostly. The door of my room wouldn't lock every time but to be honest I lost nothing and I just kept it unlocked throughout my stay. The resort is in a jungle setting, so there will be bugs. Need to be acceptable about it.

Reviews can say more about the writer than the place. Some people focus on faults; others notice the beauty in human connection. For me, travel is about the people who turn moments into memories. At Railay Great View Resort, that came from the restaurant team, especially Chali, Sun, and other staff whose names I sadly didn’t catch. The kindness, effort to speak English, and genuine warmth of all staff at the resort made our stay unforgettable. Thank you for the great food, the smiles, and the stories. You reminded me that grace costs nothing and connection is everything. The pool and view were stunning. The food was fantastic. The airport-to-resort shuttle was seamless.

If I have to provide negative feedback on anything for improvements, the room had a musty odour. Everything else was fabulous! The rooms are immaculate otherwise. I deal with mould in my profession, and I knew there might be a mould issue when I booked the accommodation, so I was prepared to deal with it and cope, but other travellers may not have the same understanding or ability, and only see fault. I hope this is helpful.

Loved the pool area! Loved the breakfast and restaurant! Loved the staff, so friendly, kind and helpful! Loved the jungle atmosphere and view from my bungalow. I loved my bungalow and the bed was super comfy.

My bungalow didn't cool down enough on those hot days and evenings. The AC was preset not to go below a certain temp. The AC unit in general seemed old and in need of update-at least in my particular bungalow. I didn't like the raunchy rap music being played loudly at the pool one day. There were families with young kids. I could tell they were turned off too. Also bottles, cups, food plates were just left to sort of pile up at the pool area while attendant was scrolling on cell phone or absent altogether even when it was supposed to be "open". One day a red faced Macaque monkey came around the lower pool deck area and frightened some guests by going through their belongings. It was difficult to scare it off.
