One of the larger hotels in Railay, this is a well-run operation providing spotlessly clean, tastefully modern, comfortable and welcoming accommodation in a very convenient location right by the pier where the boats arrive and depart. There's no beach on this east side of Railay (it's a mangrove) but the spectacular sandy beaches at Railay West and Phra Nang are just a few minutes walk. Having said that, don't miss the views to be had from the 20 minute walk along the path that goes up the mangrove waterfront as far as Railay Great View Resort. The self-service breakfast (which you can take out onto the terrace by the mangrove) is excellent and there is a tour desk to organise trips out to nearby islands and attractions. This room had really good open views from the balcony across the lake at the back of the property (which has a family of giant monitor lizards in residence) and up to the cliffs at the rear of the hotel. Also, the rear entrance by the very swimming pool adjacent to the lake, conveniently takes you straight onto the Walking Street with all it's various bars and eateries. Basically, it's a very solid choice - a good all-rounder that's hard to fault and I'd be very happy to stay there again.

In a word, monkeys. In common with all the other properties in Railay, the monkeys might look cute but are a menace when the whole troupe descend and mount highly-organised raids where they break into pairs with one standing guard whilst the other hurtles into your room grabs something and then hurtles back out. You will need to be alert to them and keep the balcony door closed behind you at all times unless you want them snatching your stuff. You would also be ill advised to leave anything by the pool even if you cover it up. These guys are smart, quick and well led by the alpha male. They also have teeth and can carry rabies. You have been warned....

The location is perfect - straight off the pier, easy access to walking street, Phra Nang beach and the mangrove path (whatever it’s called). Staff are great. Pool is fine as long as you can get a sunbed. Rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean - just watch out on the balcony for monkeys!

Unfortunately there is still quite a lot of construction on the property but it doesn’t affect the stay very much, just a bit of noise every now and then. Also the second pool has been shut for a while now.

The hotel is very comfortable and has a convenient location just off the Railay East pier. The breakfast was quite good, rooms are large and comfortable. The pool is roof top with a good view of the bay and sunrise.

There was a bit of construction around the pool and the grounds. I'm told this has been going on for some time. While it didn't prevent using the pool, but was a little awkward at times to get around.

Staff very helpful. Excellent location next to the east pier, good room. There are back entrances which shorten the walk to the beach which unfortunately we didn't find until the last day.

Shower was cold even on the hot setting, although temp outside was high, we still like a warm+ shower. Booked a trip from the "tourist" desk (just outside the restaurant)- this was a rip off, cannot really blame the hotel, but they seem to be associated - significantly more than we could get on walking street (2 mins around the corner).

The location of the hotel is great for the area. Our room had a fabulous view of one of the resort swimming pools and a man made lake. The breakfasts you get are very good. It’s good value for money considering the rates for other resorts on Railay Beach. The rooftop pool is really awesome and we watched birds, monkeys and bats from the location- spectacular! Please note that you need to arrange transportation to get to isolated Railay Beach. If you arrive in Krabi after 6pm you probably need the resort to help coordinate this and it costs 1500 baht!

The thing about the smell that you read in other reviews is real. However, it did not impact us in our room. You can definitely smell it walking around the grounds. Also the resort has areas where they look like they are fixing/updating things, so there are places that resemble construction zones or random piles of furniture. The room we stayed in (Building 4) seemed older than the ones closer to the lobby (it’s a big resort!) The room itself felt a bit dated, but was comfortable and functional.

Located next to Railay East Pier. Short walk through the gardens to main street with lots of bars and restaurants leading to Railay West Beach. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean with comfy beds and good bathroom and shower. Staff are brilliant(friendly and super helpful).Breakfast was included and provided fresh food with plenty of choice. Would recommend Railay Princess and would certainly stay again.

When we booked we thought there was a lift to the room,sadly this wasn't so. The room was 200yards from reception and up 39 stairs. We asked for a different room and the staff kindly gave us a ground floor room in the same block. If you don't like stairs best to ask for ground floor or room near reception as these blocks appear to have lifts.

The location was ideal, 4 metres from East Railay pier. Excellent breakfast, 2 lovely pool areas and pleasant staff. Our second room (2nd,3rd and 4th ) night was excellent (first floor block 5) nice view from balcony of the pool, large room with a comfy bed. Water bottles, umbrellas and pool towels provided.

We didn’t like the first room we were given ( a supposed superior room ) it was in block 6 on the ground floor looking out at the workmen’s utility area. Day and night they pass right by your window and the outlook is a bamboo fence. Avoid block 6, 3 & 4 are best views block 5 ok ( partial pool view and garden area. They really shouldn’t have had rooms so near to a work area.

This is a large resort in Railay based on the east side, we had a pleasant stay here with large rooms and a fantastic breakfast selection. We were in the older room style and felt it was good value for what we paid Welcome drinks were offered on arrival which was a nice touch and the staff were friendly throughout our stay We only used the rooftop pool but this was exceptionally clean with amazing views. A mini market is attached to the hotel selling drinks/snacks/ clothing/suncream etc The location of the hotel is perfect being only a short walk away from Phranang Beach, cut throughs to walking street and basically opposite the East pier My partner made use of the fitness facilities several times which were basic but enough to have a workout with! We had no issues with monkeys during our time here but our room was not close to palm trees so this may be why however I didn’t see any in the whole of the resort

Processes were not as smooth as they could be and checking out took quite a while as they needed cleaning staff to check the room before we were able to leave Information in the bedroom conflicted with information we were provided with at reception

The Railay princess resort is a 4 star beachfront hotel located right infront of the Railay East pier. The pool at the second floor is the best pool with a view, that I have seen. It looks onto the Railay east beach and the rocks/hills around it(Railay viewpoint). We loved the breakfast with lots of fruits, Asian options and western options. The chefs made fresh eggs for us, as per our choice. My family loved the swimming pool with the view and we spent a lot of time at the pool and made friends there. The walk from the resort to Phranang bay/cave and Railay west beach are 5-10 mins and we loved it absolutely. The staff were great and helped us a lot with our check-in and check-out experiences. We had a great time here.
