Location is good, right in front of the Railay West Beach. There is a back alley just for hotel guests that make it convenient to walk from the Railay east pier to the hotel. Lets me cut through instead of walking one big round past the other hotels and walking street. You can ask the front desk for the lock code to the back gate if it’s locked! I did use the hotel’s transport from the airport to their hotel. It cost THB 1300 per way per group - probably makes more sense if you have more people. But happy that I took it as I was new to Krabi. The pick up person was on time and waiting for me at the airport. He will drive you to the Ao Nam Mao pier and another hotel staff will take you by boat to Railay east pier. On my return to Krabi airport, I arranged my own transport. I paid THB100 for the boat to Ao Nam Mao pier, and took a Grab that cost THB 430 to the airport. Do note that Grab drivers cannot pick you/drive you directly from Ao Nam Mao pier as it’s controlled by the local taxi groups. So you will need to walk out further. The front desk is helpful in advising how to get around and travel to different islands. Room is spacious with a good working desk. WiFi is good in the room and around the property, which is useful as I was working remotely. I saw reviews about the property being dated and breakfast service being slow, but I felt it was okay. Breakfast is self serve buffet with a live egg cooking station. View from the hotel restaurant is good. There is a clothes line in the toilet and outdoor clothes rack to dry clothes.

Toilet sink water smelt of rust/iron sometimes There are whiffs of urine smell in certain parts of the room, but it didn’t bother me much. Hairdryer doesn’t really work well. Those staying near the pool can expect to walk quite abit from the room to the hotel front desk/restaurant, but I’m happy to clock some steps!

The location, the resort and accommodation set up is great. Authentic, excluded and island feeling.

This was my 3rd time in the hotel. The hotel seemed understaffed. They are helpful and friendly but people wait to long for service. The room was not cleaned one day. When cleaned not properly done. Pool looks dirty, not filtered. This does not match the price versus quality compared to many other hotels in Thailand in this range. You can do better Railay Village Resort!

Location was spot on, beautiful to sit and have food looking out on the bay. The pool was lovely and everything was calm and peaceful. Staff very attentive. Y

You can hear music from the street, but we knew we would before booking. Also lots of noise from the wildlife, which again to be expected and pretty cool actually.

Amazing hotel in a very central place near restaurants and most importantly the beach. In addition to the beach they have 2 nice pools when you can relax, with some of the room right next to it. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Many animals nearby (Big lizards, squirrels ls, frogs etc, didn't see monkeys).

Didn't really help we needed extra help when we had trouble. We needed a late checkout as my wife was sick (wanted to go to the doctor) and they weren't that helpful. They explained that the room was already booked, but we would have appreciated if they would try and help, maybe find a different room.

We were in a room right next to the pool and it was a great location. Our room was large with a small sunken entranceway for shoes and bags. This helped keep sand and stuff out of the bedroom. The bath was separated from the main bedroom, which I like. The staff went above and beyond to help us during our stay and this is what I will remember most, well, that, and the amazing views. The breakfast buffet was great. Air-con worked great. Shops and restaurants were within steps. It was truly a place to unwind. You could schedule something every day or just relax on the beach. Either way, you won't go wrong. There is a ton of wildlife, monkeys (be careful), water monitors just walking along the paths, snakes (be aware when walking at night!), and crabs all along the beaches. Kids love all this stuff. People don't harass you. You can sit on the beach and walk the streets and no one is trying to sell you anything. Just friendly hellos and laid-back attitudes. (Small note: Marijuana was legalized in Thailand recently and is widely available along the streets in different forms.)

While it is not an island, you can only come and go by boat.

Great fauna and outdoor environment and very short walk to the beach. Well anointed room. Staff were all informative and helpful.

Like my last stay the door is a little bit tricky to close and the spa bath complex and not fully functional but without asking for it to be repaired can’t really complain.

Our family loved this hotel. The location was perfect. We loved Railay beach and it was the perfect base point to explore the other islands. Our villa was beautiful. The room and the bathroom were very spacious and clean. The jacuzzi area was beautiful. Our daughter loved the small pond with the frogs in front of our villa. At night you only hear nature sounds. The breakfast had lots of different and delicious options and you can have it right in front of the beach. The staff was really nice and helpful. You have lots of restaurants nearby and mini supermarkets. We stayed 6 nights and didn't want to leave. We definetely reccomend this hotel.

Abdulla (Ake) is the man. He met us on route to the resort and rescued us from the heat and transporting our bags from the pier due to strong winds on the west side. He’s so friendly, helpful and so smiley. He filled us in on everything about the island. Ake (Abdulla) gets 5 stars from us. 😀 This place had a Lovely spacious room, with a wonderful Thai feel. Large shower and bathroom with a spa bath in a gorgeous setting. The gardens were so lovely. Pools were perfect too. Breakfasts were good too. No alcohol is served here but That wasn’t a problem as walking street is directly behind the resort and a bar behind the resort reception. Overall we rate the location and property highly. 😊

Maybe the fact they didn’t do cocktails to enjoy at the pool or overlooking the beach.

i saw some reviews that the hotel was outdated and not well kept, and i couldnt disagree more. eveything was immaculate, we loved the spacious room, the ambience, the pool was great, staff was so helpful and lovely. they even arranged for us the transfer from krabi airport to the hotel in the evening (after 18:00 there are less boats to Railay from Krabi) , and the boat stopped right by the beach, so there was no long, dreaded walk in the water with our luggage on our heads. someone from the hotel waited for us and helped us with the luggage to the room. We loved our time there, and wish to return again the future!

To start, the transport from the airport was seamless. You have to prearrange the transport but there was someone waiting for is at the airport who then took us in a private shuttle to another private longtail boat that took us directly to the dock nearest our resort. It made arriving and departing so simple. Then our room was very nice and spacious. The resort was right in the middle of the action of Railay Beach. We loved how close we were to the beach and the night life. In short we loved the location, the staff was so friendly, and the jungle-like setting was something that we would go back for again.

The bathroom could have been cleaner but I figure that may be just come with the territory of being so near salt water (ie rusty faucets and drains). We loved the location but the proximity to the nightlife is also a downfall as our room seemed to be directly behind one of the louder bars on the Railay strip. We also wish the AC in the room worked a bit better to keep us cooler at night.
