This hotel meets our needs and requirements perfectly. We love the hustle and bustle but also want to be able to find peace. Although Fisherman's Village is a busy and touristic place, Smile House is an oasis of tranquility. Our cottage was big, clean and very comfy. We had a nice veranda with easy chairs and a fan. The staff was very friendly and supportive. Every day new towels and water and they clean-up your cottage when you put the card on the door. The whole park is very well maintained. The two swimming-pools are as the rest of the park, very clean, well maintained and very inviting. We had breakfast in the Smile House restaurant at the beach. The first days we couldn't stop looking at the amazing views! Breakfast is complete and fresh. There is even an egg-/pancake station: a chef that makes whatever you like while your are waiting..! We booked the elephant sanctuary (the right one) tour and the pig-island tour via the Smile House reception and that was very well done. Taxi for picking up from the airport and bringing back at the end were also very easy to arrange.

The location is amazing. Centrally located in Fisherman's village for everything. The hotel's restaurant is across a small road on the front so you can eat overlooking the sea. (We enjoyed this every morning eating our breakfast which was included in our stay) Food was great and there's plenty of tables to eat inside and out. Our deluxe villa was set in pretty gardens. It was peaceful and private. Theres 2 pools, a bigger one at the front of the site and a smaller one in the gardens. Sunbeds were put out on the beach too when the weather's calm which are free. Towels are changed daily if you want including beach towels. The Wharf night market is 5 mins up the road and is on every night except Thursday. Atmosphere is buzzing there and there's a great choice of food to be had.

The hotel doesn't give you any welcoming information. So we found out through chatting to other residents that you get 15% off at the restaurant if you eat lunch/dinner there if you show your room key. But beware they put on service charge anyway so you don't really save anything.

Great location, easy to get to everything. Breakfast was ok. We were given bottled water daily and clean towels were left for us.

Whilst the room was very clean and spacious there were areas at the hotel that are very dated. The sun lounger mattress are splitting, the pool has cracked tiles which led to cuts on feet. Shower in bathroom had minimum hot water and none in the sink. Whilst there they were doing work at some of the villas which involved drilling, which did disturb the tranquility by the pool, however good to see work was being undertaken.

Everything was great, the accommodation was clean, linen and towels changed every day, the restaurant was excellent, the breakfast was excellent, the beach was almost empty, free sunbeds on the beach, I recommend the accommodation to everyone, it is right in the center of Fisherman Village, Thank you for a great stay

Fabulous place, loved Smile. Excellent main pool, stunning grounds, perfect location in the heart of FV but quiet at night as the bungalows are set back. Think they need updated photos on their site as they don't do the place justice. Recommended A*

Nothing to dislike

Perfect location, steps away from beach & shops,restaurants & night market, but very quiet & peaceful.Beautiful lush garden grounds. Room very big,clean & comfortable. Large double bed & also a sofa which we used as a small single. Water & beach towels provided daily. Lovely outside seating on patio with privacy given by plants. Staff extremely helpful & friendly. 2 lovely pools. Lovely eating breakfast on beach

Would have been nice to have drinks/snacks facility by pool & maybe one pool for just adults. Food/drinks in restuarant very expensive & not great

Buffet breakfast was good with lots of options. Especially liked the freshly cooked eggs and pancakes. Gardens are beautiful and really well cared for. Overall, a really comfortable place to stay, rooms were of a good size, beds were comfy, and the overall feel of the hotel was very relaxing. The location was perfect for us, with loads of options for food and shopping on the doorstep, and the hotel restaurant was good too.

Although the pools were great, the water had a lot of chlorine which stings the eyes and nose a bit. Some noise from the night market and other rooms, but generally still very quiet.

This was out 6th family stay at smile house. Love the three bedroom villa, love all the staff, location is amazing. Breakfast is great with the best view. We will definitely be back. Feels like home.

Love it all

Doing a lot of travelling and this is the nicest place we have stayed at... Stayed at more expensive places and this was way nicer. Beautiful spacious bungalow. Lush tropical gardens beautifully maintained, all around. Clean pools. Really great location. Far nicer than chaweng and Lamai in our opinion. Smile House is practically opposite coco tams and the fire show. Right next to the night market too, but a quiet location. Breakfast is 5 star too and right in the beach

Restaurant is awful, food is terrible and short changed us when giving the bill at the end. Stay in the hotel but DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANT
