Amazing beachfront location; great breakfast at the restaurant overlooking the ocean; plenty sunchairs available around the pools and at the beach - the policy of not allowing 'towel-reservations' of sunchairs is excellent, always chairs available!; great playroom/kids club; beautiful hotel grounds with water, plants, and grass and plenty cozy hangout areas

Food and drink quality overall was definitely acceptable, but not superb. Smoking was allowed/tolerated at the bar which was super annoying. The wood floors around the pools and in the plunge pool villa was dark brown and got scorching hot in the sun - impossible to walk on barefoot. Also, plunge pool villas could have had a fan in the sunbed roof, got really hot in the middle of the day with little wind entering the private courtyard

Massive pool so I could do my swimming everyday. Beach agree great, 2 smaller pools and lovely area to eat outside watching the sea. One warning, if you don’t enjoy children, avoid Xmas and first few weeks of Jan as if was overrun and has an alone traveller I found it too much. Lovely place to have a holiday but book in advance as it gets sold out quickly. Paul , London.

Too many children over the Xmas and Jan period, but to be expected as popular time to take them away. July aug is also popular with children at the hotel. I don’t dislike children at all but it was at one point like a school playground , not good for relaxation. Go outside these months ans your be fine,

2 double beds joined together were very comfortable & the pillows, slept really well. Spacious & comfortable bedroom/bathroom. Lovely beach & pool area, happy hour 3-4 & 5-6. Loved the location being able to walk to Fisherman’s village for shops bars & restaurants. Easy to get a taxi on the Grab app to anywhere

We couldn’t use the sun beds on the beach because we were told they were mostly all reserved for TUI cruise guests, so we had to move our towels. Seems unfair for paying hotel guests, should be first come first served. There were lots of children there, but I had read reviews saying this so can be noisy by the pool

The hotel is very beautiful and kept very clean, full of flowers. The location on the beach was great and the walking distance to Fisherman's village was 10 min. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the breakfast abundant and lots to choose from. I liked the fact that nobody reserved sunbeds and there were signs everywhere reminding you not to do it.

We did not make use of the restaurant for dinner nor the spa facilities as the prices were greatly inflated. There are some fabulous restaurants nearby and many spa opportunities in Fisherman's village. The sand on the beach was very coarse which made it hard work to go for a walk on the beach and the water was quite murky, full of sediment / plankton. A few people got stung by jellyfish. (July) Apparently there is smooth sand and blue water on other beaches such as Chaweng beach. The room originally I think is for 2 people but they added another double bed which made it feel quite crammed. If you like reading in the evening, then the lighting was not brilliant, ok with a kindle but not possible with a book

Fantastic staff - one of the best we've experienced around the world, they have a fantastic crew. I really cannot stress the level of attention and care (we were always sitting at the same table for breakfast, when we booked the barbecue the put us at that specific table). Very nice pool, great club for kids, restaurant with stunning sea views and a short, nice stroll far from teh chaos to get to Fisherman's village and Night Market. Rooms were big and beautifully designed.

This hotel was a straight 10 when it opened, however I don't think the value for money is still there, aside for the staff. It needs a thorough deep clean for the rooms, some repainting, fixing some of the elephant fountains around the pool - it's getting a bit 'tired' for the price point.

Great stay at Bandara! All staff were lovely and we were given an early check in free of charge. Food was great & great location. We really enjoyed being walking distance from Fisherman’s Village.

Top staff, without them my stay would have only been half as good! Kitty fluent in German and English, is very attentive to customers‘ needs, tries the utmost to support and and comes up with proposals, very friendly and service minded Bird, who is dedicated to his work, I attended almost every Yoga lesson during my stay, dedicated to his customers, always friendly, helpful and responsible for the overall sports activities., can only be highly recommended. Diamond, who supports not only him but also at the two bars, impeccable, friendly, hard working to satisfy the various clients‘ wishes. Gege: is super friendly, a sunshine in the morning, when she greets every customer by their name - what a memory (!) - not to forget the lovely Christmas show with her and the team singing Christmas Carols, unforgettable. Gao and the service team of the restaurant area ( I am sorry I don‘t remember everybody‘s name), the Gentlemen working at the bars, just incredibly friendly and helpful! Last but not least the CHEF (cook) Nuang, very dedicated and tries to make sure to provide everything possible, whatever the extra wishes might be. Loved my room, it was quiet, beautiful, nicely furnished, loved to slide into my blankets in the evening. Big thank you to the cleaning staff as, who do a great job, every day! The guards at the entrance also need to be appreciated, who help you to get over the street, as no car bother to stop, when you need to cross the road. THANK YOU!

The Lady director in charge of the hotel: Pls bear in mind „staff make it or break it“ - whereas you have a wonderful team, I was wondering why you never greeted the customers, should you no be a leading role model to your staff? Otherwise can‘t state anything negative.

The hotel is gorgeous, starting form the entry through to the beach bar. The staf went out and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The main pool is great and so is the one located closer to the beach. Breakfast is amazing with various foods and an egg station. The hotel is located close to the street with all the massage places and local restaurants. Within a close proximity there is a market open every mon, wed and fri worth visiting. A big thanks to the hotel staff for organizing the New Year's Eve, the buffet was just amazing. We really enjoyed our stay in the hotel
