My recent visit to Zazen Spa in Koh Samui was nothing short of extraordinary. Despite the unpredictable weather, the experience was made memorable by the commendable service and attention to detail demonstrated by the spa's staff. The moment you step into Zazen Spa, you are met with an ambience that exudes tranquility and warmth. The staff members are the epitome of professionalism, their politeness and helpfulness shining through their every action. They go above and beyond to ensure that each guest feels special and taken care of. The beachside villa we stayed in was simply stunning. With its tasteful decor and comfortable amenities, it provided the perfect sanctuary for relaxation. The sound of the waves lapping against the shore, coupled with the serene setting, made for a truly rejuvenating retreat. Unfortunately, I fell ill during my stay. However, this did not dampen my spirits as the staff at Zazen Spa ensured I was well looked after. They regularly sent comforting cups of tea to my room and frequently checked on me, demonstrating an exceptional level of care and compassion. The weather may not have been on our side, but the hospitality and the overall experience at Zazen Spa more than made up for it. This is a place where you are not just a guest, but part of a family that takes care of you when you're in need and celebrates your wellness when you're in high spirits. In conclusion, Zazen Spa in Koh Samui offers more than just top-notch spa treatments and luxurious accommodation. It offers a home away from home, where each staff member works tirelessly to create an atmosphere of comfort and care. I can't wait to return and relive the wonderful memories I've made here.

The weather was bad, but that was out of the control of the amazing staff at the hotel!

The pool was very nice and plenty of comfortable sun beds. The service around the pool eg getting towels and drinks also good . We had a garden room, beautifully furnished and very large, but steps within were a little dangerous.

I think we should have been informed that it was a “soft”opening, as all facilities were not open,such as the spa. The menu both breakfast and dinner were limited. Where was the Thai noodle soup for breakfast? The one dinner we did have was awful and our money was taken off the bill.

The hotel exceeded every expectation we had. Lovely family owned boutique hotel- every detail thought about in advance for customers staying. The owners themselves & Team were delightful, engaged with us everyday, made it more special with little touches. Food was fantastic - we stayed over NYE & to be honest we were concerned about the £/quality of the gala dinner but it was outstanding & made our stay even more special. Breakfast was made to order every day & we ate lunch in the restaurant a few days which was lovely. Great wine list too! Quiet & very relaxing environment from the moment you arrive into reception, we spent lots of time relaxing by the pool listening to chilled vibe music that played often and took advantage of the onsite spa- massages were really well priced & amazing experience. Highly recommend Zazen to anyone looking for a little peace of tranqullity & something less corporate in Koh Samui- We will definitely visit again when on the Island, looking for an excuse to rebook already!

Not much to be honest but... breakfast would have liked wider range of granola/museli/ nuts/ seeds options & in the room- we stayed in 2 - we had coffee machine in one & not the other- only instant sachets in the 2nd room which was a little let down- I think they should also be replenished daily. Coffee machines would be a nice touch across all rooms though?

Friendly, kind, helpful staff, especially around the pool, restaurant area. Food is delicious! The best meals we had in Koh Samui! Accommodation was beautiful, large bed for us, they set up 3 sofa beds for the children, they loved it! They did regular theme restaurant evenings. Relaxed and calm environment. Pool table and table tennis. Good gym with enough equipment for a good workout.

Walking to Fisherman’s Village, the end near Holiday Inn would be 15 minutes. We got taxis with three children 300 THB. Some days were difficult to get a sun bed. Small beach area.

We recently sold our villa in Koh Samui so decided to book Zazen. Over the years we had frequented the restaurant as it has always had great food, but we had never stayed at the hotel. We were very impressed with everything about the hotel. We had a perfect view of the sea from our beach front room. Beautifully landscaped grounds. The food is great. And most importantly, the staff are fantastic. Professional and friendly. There are many hotel options in Samui. We could have stayed at a top international hotel & paid international prices, or opt to stay at this lovely family owned hotel for a fraction of the price while enjoying superior service. We made the correct decision. I would highly recommend Zazen and we will return.

Loved the vibe and whole aesthetic of the hotel. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and we looked forward to it every morning. They had lovely fresh juices and you could order eggs any style and iced coffee etc. The actual restaurant was super pretty and overlooking the ocean. We also ate dinner and sometimes lunch there as it was very tasty. I am still dreaming of their satay chicken sticks and the sauces so yummy! ☺️ The grounds were gorgeous, and there were always gardeners around. The staff maintained the property very well. The pool was beautiful and actually had a nice shady area too which was a relief on hot days. They brought around fruit snacks and the cold face washers infused with lemon grass was the highlight of my pool experience ... besides the chicken satay of course. 😉 Thanks for a lovely stay - I'm sure other people will enjoy it as much as we have. 🙏 พบกันใหม่ครั้งหน้า (PS we went in May and it was around 30 degrees and weather was great the whole time, not too busy at all)

Nothing really - everything was really great.. the only negative/; The water around the reception area and beyond was very green and murky so that was a little off-putting on arrival. I hope they sort that out as it's not the best impression on first arrival and it made me worry about the pool. I guess you can't just put chemicals in it when there are fish like you can do with a pool. The beach wasn't the most picturesque but it's not a deal breaker, most people end up by the pool anyway and if you want a different beach or your quintessential Thai beach then just visit Chaweng but maybe don't stay there as it can be noisy and Zazen is super relaxing and closer to Fisherman Market which is fun.

We loved our stay at Zazen Boutique hotel. The elegant, boho-inspired design was beautiful and made every corner of the hotel feel Instagrammable. The rooms were clean, modern, and beautifully styled. The 8 ball pool table was also nice! The breakfast was also tasty, especially the coffee. Unfortunately, it rained every day, so we didn’t get to enjoy the gorgeous pool, but it was still a standout feature of the property. The attention to detail and overall vibe made this hotel unforgettable. Highly recommend for a stylish and relaxing getaway!

The tap water had an odd taste, but it wasn’t a big deal since bottled water was provided, and we used that for brushing our teeth. Also I would have preferred to pay for the hotel through Booking instead of the payment link they provided, but that's also not a big issue.

A stunning property that looks like you’ve walked into a travel catalogue. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the breakfast was superb. Loved the cold aroma therapy towels and fruit skewers that were handed out at the pool. We felt very relaxed and pampered. Would definitely stay here again :)

The beach below the hotel isn’t the nicest for swimming (the pool is beautiful though) and it’s a bit of a walk to fisherman‘s village (or a very expensive taxi ride). We also had a few mosquitos in the room although the staff put up coils and was spraying the rooms in the evening - an optional mosquito net would be a good idea!

The restaurant is beautiful and delicous. Deco of rooms is nice too. Staff is very friendly.

Beach is always dirty. they say they clean it but it’s not true with other guests we cleaned it a bit everyday. Honestly if you come for the beach don’t book this place. Some of the guy staff that served us at the beach had really dirty clothes like really dirty. even though it just got renovated the white floors in the rooms and bathrooms are already super stained looks like it’s already 5 year old. Et still enjoyed our stay.

The staff were extremely welcoming when we arrived. We arrived about four hours before our check in time and the staff gave us a room to have a shower and get changed etc. We were then showed around the resort and were informed that our room was ready - very far ahead of schedule. Staff were super friendly. We loved the Mediterranean vibe of the place. Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Very spacious and relaxing. The restaurant was superb. The staff were friendly and accommodating, no details were missed (even had Zazen branded wet towels with lemon scent). Loved that there was no close time for the pool. Complimentary use of paddle board and kayak was fantastic. We stayed at another resort on the island afterwards (Centara Reserve) and immediately missed the intimate and laid back vibes massive room and overall experience of staying at a boutique resort.

Unfortunately the shower in our room didn’t have hot water. We had a beachfront room (which was beyond our expectations) but we wished there was a stone to step on from the main walkway to the room as we found that we brought a lot of sand to our balcony. Easy fix.
