My recent visit to Zazen Spa in Koh Samui was nothing short of extraordinary. Despite the unpredictable weather, the experience was made memorable by the commendable service and attention to detail demonstrated by the spa's staff. The moment you step into Zazen Spa, you are met with an ambience that exudes tranquility and warmth. The staff members are the epitome of professionalism, their politeness and helpfulness shining through their every action. They go above and beyond to ensure that each guest feels special and taken care of. The beachside villa we stayed in was simply stunning. With its tasteful decor and comfortable amenities, it provided the perfect sanctuary for relaxation. The sound of the waves lapping against the shore, coupled with the serene setting, made for a truly rejuvenating retreat. Unfortunately, I fell ill during my stay. However, this did not dampen my spirits as the staff at Zazen Spa ensured I was well looked after. They regularly sent comforting cups of tea to my room and frequently checked on me, demonstrating an exceptional level of care and compassion. The weather may not have been on our side, but the hospitality and the overall experience at Zazen Spa more than made up for it. This is a place where you are not just a guest, but part of a family that takes care of you when you're in need and celebrates your wellness when you're in high spirits. In conclusion, Zazen Spa in Koh Samui offers more than just top-notch spa treatments and luxurious accommodation. It offers a home away from home, where each staff member works tirelessly to create an atmosphere of comfort and care. I can't wait to return and relive the wonderful memories I've made here.

The weather was bad, but that was out of the control of the amazing staff at the hotel!

The pool was very nice and plenty of comfortable sun beds. The service around the pool eg getting towels and drinks also good . We had a garden room, beautifully furnished and very large, but steps within were a little dangerous.

I think we should have been informed that it was a “soft”opening, as all facilities were not open,such as the spa. The menu both breakfast and dinner were limited. Where was the Thai noodle soup for breakfast? The one dinner we did have was awful and our money was taken off the bill.

Overall design and aesthetic is excellent. Felt very “zen” and relaxing. Staff were fantastic and the whole vibe left you feeling extremely relaxed. Beds were super comfy and aircon is fantastic. The massage and spa treatments are great value and really good. The food is really good. Overall there is very little to fault.

The far end of the beech (opposite room 5) is busy due to speedboat day tours and jet ski safari’s leaving from that area. Having said that it’s actually quite interesting to watch all the goings on. The drinks are on the pricier side for the area but there are plenty of places nearby to go for cheaper. After a storm or rain the drains can pong a bit!!

Very good location, not far from Fishermans Village. Very nice hotel. Actually boutique - beautiful and very well-maintained garden, cottages integrated into the greenery, great attention to the details of finishing and decor. The service is really great and this applies to everyone, from the reception, to the waiters, bartenders and housekeepers. The cottages are small, but perfectly adequate. Well, and great quality of meals in the restaurant - a class of its own. A great place for a few days stay.

One small detail - in the shower, painting can happen. And one flaw of great importance - the air conditioning in the cottage was inefficient and insufficient. One wall-mounted air conditioner would certainly work well in a 20-square-meter room, but in a 65-square-meter cottage, despite working at maximum and making a sound like an airplane, it could not manage to cool the room below 26-27 degrees C. During the heat it makes a big difference in comfort - we didn't get enough sleep, both because of the noise of the air conditioner and because of the temperature from which you are sticking to your pillow in the room.

Everything was picture perfect. The whole premises were kept clean and in perfect condition. The hotel staff was super friendly and catering your every need. They were super service oriented. They organized some events certain nights which was a nice change from the usual. There was a pool table fee to use and a table tennis set to be used for your entertainment. We had the beachfront room and that was also picture perfect. It had a bathtub overlooking the beach. Spacious, comfortable, clean and nicely decorated.

The drinks and food menu was of excellent quality but a bit pricey. We did eat and drink a few times at the resort but also went out for dinner and drinks. Our room was decorated with charm but not all the light switches were working. For us not a big enough problem to complain about. The actual beach and see were used for launching jetski’s. The resort is located in a corner of the beach and there the water was murky and not really inviting to swim there. The infinity pool on the other hand was amazing. The gym wasn’t in great condition. It was missing some handles for the cable machine and seemed not cleaned often. One of the 2 aircons weren’t working and so it was quite warm for working out.

The hotel exceeded every expectation we had. Lovely family owned boutique hotel- every detail thought about in advance for customers staying. The owners themselves & Team were delightful, engaged with us everyday, made it more special with little touches. Food was fantastic - we stayed over NYE & to be honest we were concerned about the £/quality of the gala dinner but it was outstanding & made our stay even more special. Breakfast was made to order every day & we ate lunch in the restaurant a few days which was lovely. Great wine list too! Quiet & very relaxing environment from the moment you arrive into reception, we spent lots of time relaxing by the pool listening to chilled vibe music that played often and took advantage of the onsite spa- massages were really well priced & amazing experience. Highly recommend Zazen to anyone looking for a little peace of tranqullity & something less corporate in Koh Samui- We will definitely visit again when on the Island, looking for an excuse to rebook already!

Not much to be honest but... breakfast would have liked wider range of granola/museli/ nuts/ seeds options & in the room- we stayed in 2 - we had coffee machine in one & not the other- only instant sachets in the 2nd room which was a little let down- I think they should also be replenished daily. Coffee machines would be a nice touch across all rooms though?

Friendly, kind, helpful staff, especially around the pool, restaurant area. Food is delicious! The best meals we had in Koh Samui! Accommodation was beautiful, large bed for us, they set up 3 sofa beds for the children, they loved it! They did regular theme restaurant evenings. Relaxed and calm environment. Pool table and table tennis. Good gym with enough equipment for a good workout.

Walking to Fisherman’s Village, the end near Holiday Inn would be 15 minutes. We got taxis with three children 300 THB. Some days were difficult to get a sun bed. Small beach area.

The decor in the room was aesthetically pleasing, spacious with lounge area and shelves for clothes made it easy to unpack, the white finish throughout gave it a clean brand new feel, the bathroom with gold hardware and shell items gave a beach vibe..pool and restaurant also aesthetically pleasing, gardens stunning well maintained, breakfast excellent, loved it, highly recommend…

If anything the location we had a bike so could get around easily, you can get taxi, but this shouldn't put you off staying its an incredible place to stay

We recently sold our villa in Koh Samui so decided to book Zazen. Over the years we had frequented the restaurant as it has always had great food, but we had never stayed at the hotel. We were very impressed with everything about the hotel. We had a perfect view of the sea from our beach front room. Beautifully landscaped grounds. The food is great. And most importantly, the staff are fantastic. Professional and friendly. There are many hotel options in Samui. We could have stayed at a top international hotel & paid international prices, or opt to stay at this lovely family owned hotel for a fraction of the price while enjoying superior service. We made the correct decision. I would highly recommend Zazen and we will return.

We loved our stay at Zazen Boutique hotel. The elegant, boho-inspired design was beautiful and made every corner of the hotel feel Instagrammable. The rooms were clean, modern, and beautifully styled. The 8 ball pool table was also nice! The breakfast was also tasty, especially the coffee. Unfortunately, it rained every day, so we didn’t get to enjoy the gorgeous pool, but it was still a standout feature of the property. The attention to detail and overall vibe made this hotel unforgettable. Highly recommend for a stylish and relaxing getaway!

The tap water had an odd taste, but it wasn’t a big deal since bottled water was provided, and we used that for brushing our teeth. Also I would have preferred to pay for the hotel through Booking instead of the payment link they provided, but that's also not a big issue.
