The SPA is small and there were some families occupying the swimming pool and Sauna all the time in the morning and from 5pm until 9pm almost like a club med or aqua park . I highly recommend having it Adult only or at least allocate time for adults e.g. From 7 to 9pm as some people do not respect that others have the right to access the wellness.

The staff was really kind special mention for Erhan from the swimming pool area (sorry if is not the right spelling), he was very welcoming, nice and eager to offer the best experience. The hotel location is very convenient.... Very good breakfast... Awesome views from the terrace (day and night)... The hotel is very quiet and the windows have good noise insulation...

Just a little detail for those who need complete darkness in order to sleep well... The courtains from our room were not dark enough... However, there are rooms with shutters... The staff cooperated in order to fix this little issue, so it was not a real problem for us, and it didnt affect the good experience...

Amazing staff; Incredible terrace with the best view of İstanbul and the Bosphorus that you have find- part of the very good Eva Bosphorus Restaurant, and the place where we have the breakfast (with diversity and quality). Very decent pool/spa - very useful after strolling all over the city all day 😊 The location (even beside the fact that the street itself is not the most atractive) because is amazingly close to all the major atractions.

Honestly, the room and more specifically, the lights and the bathroom. The lights are very low and not enough in some moments. But the bathroom was the point down - not at all a 5* hotel bathroom if the glass door is so fragile that had some kind of tape in the joints…and let the water pass to the floor. Very disappointing and a thing to correct.

The breakfast was fantastic with a lot of variety, and it's on the rooftop with fantastic views of most of old Istanbul. You can see Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Bosphorus. The view is unmatched. The location is great.... While my research recommends not staying on the historic side, the decision to stay there was spot on. Close to the mosques...and other sightseeing opportunities, and away from the crowds. The Staff was out of this world. I was initially going to stay in a much larger 5-Star hotel, but it had bad reviews for service, so I switched the reservation at the last minute. That was the best decision. On the last day, my ride, which was booked through Booking.com, was late, and I was unable to arrive at the hotel due to traffic. One of the staff members (whose name I wish I knew) walked us with our luggage about 10 blocks to meet the ride. The desk manager called the driver several times to communicate the issues, and although the driver was 40 minutes late, I still made it to the airport on time. This would have never happened without the excellent Staff!!!

I honestly cannot think of anything!!! It was that great! They lived up to and exceeded their already very high reviews.

The Demiray Hotel is in an excellent location; everything is within walking distance, allowing you to visit all the main attractions in 10 minutes or less. This includes the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Bazaar. While Galata is also relatively close, be aware that it can be a bit challenging to reach due to the incline. The pier for boat or yacht tours of the Bosphorus is very nearby as well. As for the hotel itself, it is amazing. We booked a suite with a view, and it was gorgeous! From our bed, we could see Galata and the famous bridge. Both rooms in the suite were very clean, quiet, and spacious. They provided welcome drinks, bottled water, tea, and coffee. The spa is also fantastic; I highly recommend the steam room, which is one of the best I have ever used. If you visit Istanbul during the winter months, you may need to request that the receptionist activate the heating option for the air conditioning in your room. This setting might not be visible by default. In our case, it wasn't visible initially, but once the receptionist turned it on, the heating made the room very warm, reaching temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius. The staff is incredibly helpful and very polite. They were always ready to assist with anything you need. The food was delicious, and the view from the restaurant was spectacular. Even if you book a room without a view of the Bosphorus, you will still enjoy an amazing view from the restaurant. The hotel is safe, with a police station next door, which enhances the safety of the entire neighborhood (in my honest opinion, this is a significant advantage, especially for foreigners). I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to explore Istanbul without relying on a taxi or Uber. I hope this detailed review helps you with your booking!

The only improvement I could suggest for the hotel is to provide a mini bar with additional drinks and snacks available during non-working hours. We had two minibars, one in each room, but they were empty. I'm not sure if we were expected to request the hotel staff to stock them, but having some snacks and soft drinks would be convenient. While I wouldn’t consider this a significant issue, it's the only area I can think of for improvement, as everything else was exceptional.

Location behind Grand Bazaar, its a new hotel, breakfast was subliem heavenly, everyting we expected and more...never had a breakfast in an hotel with such variety, fresh, and every day different menu, the metro very close, ferry very close, all transportations are close, never waited for the elevators, not crowded no noises of others, airco in room was perfect..the pool is very romantic, with blue lights, the brakfast was on rooftop with most beautifull view over the Bosphorus, we cant wait to come back next week, we will not search for another hotel, thank you Demiray for this expierence

This is my second stay at this hotel, and I've been consistently impressed with the exceptional service. During our recent visit, my elderly mother and I arrived in the morning, prior to check-in time, and were kindly provided with our room keys without any delay. We were able to head straight to a delightful breakfast. The hotel's restaurant and bar offer stunning views of the Bosphorus, and the food is truly delicious. The waitstaff are attentive and professional. Our family room was comfortable, with spacious beds that ensured a restful sleep. Despite the sweltering 28C heat outside, the air conditioning in our room worked flawlessly, keeping us cool and relaxed. I'd like to extend special thanks to the wonderful massage therapist at the spa, who provided an unforgettable experience. Additionally, the reception staff were accommodating and courteous throughout our stay. Given the exceptional experience, we would certainly choose to stay at this hotel again if we're ever in Istanbul.

Coffee during breakfast, does not taste nice

A lovely hotel with the loviest staff members. We were a family of 10 and we had a very comfortable stay. The spa/pool was enjoyable and clean. All amenities were provided. The breakfast was very lavish and the view of the Bosporous was spectacular from the rooftop. Iclal from the breakfast room was really helpful and looked after us incredibly well. The staff at the reception, Mustafa, Hasan and Ahmet were really helpful from the start of the trip. They offered us complimentary tea when we arrived and offered us a packed breakfast for our early morning flight. They were really helpful for any queries we had during our stay. The food at the restaurant was good quality, and delicious. We enjoyed our meal with the view in the evenings. The location of the hotel was a short walk from all major attractions

The hotel is located in a very steep area. As we were a family with children and pushchairs and elderly, walking up and down from the hotel to the major attractions was not that easy for us. The hotel is also located in the middle of an undergarment bazaar, which closes early during the day hence the roads leading up to the hotel were dark and empty without any lamp posts.

Demiray turned out to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in in any part of the world. Room was good size, comfortable (especially the bed) and all facilities worked well. Staff friendly and helpful. Well insulated so noise never an issue. Outstanding was the buffet breakfast served in terrace resturant with great view over Bosphorus (it's also open for evening meals when the view would also be good but we didn't get a chance to try that). Great location - easy walk to Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Basilica Cistern and Topkapi and the ferry wharfs. Hotel arranged airport transfers very effectively - probably could arrange it cheaper yourself but was good to be booked with a reliable company.

The location is a bit hilly in places. Was OK for us but some people may have problems walking the short distance to the main attractions. You definitely would not want to drive in this area.

Staff were friendly and helpful with advice and tips on what's app of tours and various activities. Breakfast and meals on top floor with stunning views of the Old City and main attractions. Rooms were clean. Sauna and hammam facilities were very good. Proximity to Old City and main attractions there. I would stay here again

The hotel is located on top of a hill and you have to walk steep uphill and there can be issues with taxi access at certain times. This is in Old City and the view from my room was of a shabby building.
