Our stay at the Orient Occidental Hotel was truly exceptional. The hotel’s location is perfect—right in the heart of Fatih and just a short walk from the metro station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Istanbul. The interiors of both the hotel and our room were beautifully designed, exuding elegance and comfort. The staff were outstanding—polite, attentive, and always willing to assist with any request. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the rooftop restaurant, which offered breathtaking views of the city. The Turkish breakfast spread was simply delightful, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul—it’s the perfect blend of luxury, convenience, and warm hospitality.

Hotel was well situated with in the old town of Istanbul. It was centrally located to all the major attractions yet in on a quiet street. The room was clean, spacious and updated. The breakfast which was offered in the wonderful rooftop restaurant was plentiful and delicious. The dishes were beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients. I do have to say however that the best feature of this hotel was it's staff. There was always someone at the front desk willing to offer assistance, advice or a friendly smile. Our thanks go particularly to Taylan who helped us with an issue in our room and gave us some interesting information on sites in the city.

The layout of the bathroom was not my favorite. No way to close it off to keep the warm air in when you shower.

The incredible rooftop restaurant of this hotel is reason enough to stay in this property. The views of the city, the golden horn, the Hagia Sophia, and the Galata Tower are amazing. The food, the cocktails and the service were five stars. Yet, the rooms and the location do not fall behind. The rooms are modern, spacious, well appointed and unique. The location is also perfect, right in the center of the historic peninsula of Istanbul, on a pedestrian street, the hotel is both surprinsingly quiet, yet also a short walk from all major sites. Finally, the staff, without exception, was friendly, attentive and helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel.

The service and the hospitality was amazing. We drove a rental car, and initially this was my biggest worry about getting parking and getting to the hotel. The hotel contacted us ahead of time and gave us a parking lot location nearby and had Mr.Berat welcomed us at the parking lot and walked us to the hotel. Greatly appreciate Mr.Berat for accompanying us! The room was spacious and clean and had everything we need. We also love the room design, modern but unique. The hotel is also right in the middle of the old town. We walked for all the attractions in the old town and also a quick walk to a tram station. Everything we comfortable and convenient.

What an absolutely beautiful hotel! It is very conveniently located within walking distance of most tourist attractions. The breakfast was simply the best we have ever had at a hotel, with such a spectacular view! Special thanks to the team at the Roof Mezzepotamia restaurant (Fulya, Aram, Ōtepe, Enes and Fatih) for the friendly service. The reception staff went out of their way to assist us with any requests. Abrek Öce and Batikah Cicim were simply superstars. We thouroughly enjoyed our 5 day stay and would most certainly return when travelling to Istanbul!

It is a brand new or rather an upgraded version of the property. The breakfast was a proper deal breaker. You are spoilt for options. The staff are extremely polite and respectful. Location is great. Walkable to the metro. Very centralized location.

The room I got was unfortunately next to the lift. Being a light sleeper, I had descriptive sleep when people were talking loudly in the night to their rooms from the lift.

Hotel was excellent, rooms fantastic, staff couldn’t have been better. Would absolutely recommend to others. Rooftop bar/restaurant was amazing and the icing on the cake, where you could enjoy breakfast in the sun with a fantastic view of the river and the surrounding mosques.

WiFi wasn’t free. Should be easier to get online. TV had very standard channel package so a bit disappointing. Hotel dinner menu choice was very limited (but food was excellent)

The building was very nice, well decorated, very nice ambience. Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of choices, a la carte. Staff was very helpful and gentile, excellent service. It is ideally located to explore Old Istanbul.

The room didn't have enough closet space. The bathroom was nice but divided by glasses so there was not much intimacy. Everything else was perfect.

The location was fantastic as were the staff at reception who were very welcoming and professional. Turkish breakfast on the roof top terrace was amazing.

There was a manager person in the rooftop restaurant who made us feel very unwelcome. The toilet in our bedroom was in a glass box and wasn't exactly private!

For 250 eur/night it was very good. Breakfast was really nice and tasty with proseco. Location also was very good, on quite street next to main buz. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Bathroom and toilet with glass walls was not preferred option but was ok. 17 eur for gin and tonic is expensive even for European standards.
