The SPA is small and there were some families occupying the swimming pool and Sauna all the time in the morning and from 5pm until 9pm almost like a club med or aqua park . I highly recommend having it Adult only or at least allocate time for adults e.g. From 7 to 9pm as some people do not respect that others have the right to access the wellness.

The Demiray Hotel is in an excellent location; everything is within walking distance, allowing you to visit all the main attractions in 10 minutes or less. This includes the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Bazaar. While Galata is also relatively close, be aware that it can be a bit challenging to reach due to the incline. The pier for boat or yacht tours of the Bosphorus is very nearby as well. As for the hotel itself, it is amazing. We booked a suite with a view, and it was gorgeous! From our bed, we could see Galata and the famous bridge. Both rooms in the suite were very clean, quiet, and spacious. They provided welcome drinks, bottled water, tea, and coffee. The spa is also fantastic; I highly recommend the steam room, which is one of the best I have ever used. If you visit Istanbul during the winter months, you may need to request that the receptionist activate the heating option for the air conditioning in your room. This setting might not be visible by default. In our case, it wasn't visible initially, but once the receptionist turned it on, the heating made the room very warm, reaching temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius. The staff is incredibly helpful and very polite. They were always ready to assist with anything you need. The food was delicious, and the view from the restaurant was spectacular. Even if you book a room without a view of the Bosphorus, you will still enjoy an amazing view from the restaurant. The hotel is safe, with a police station next door, which enhances the safety of the entire neighborhood (in my honest opinion, this is a significant advantage, especially for foreigners). I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to explore Istanbul without relying on a taxi or Uber. I hope this detailed review helps you with your booking!

The only improvement I could suggest for the hotel is to provide a mini bar with additional drinks and snacks available during non-working hours. We had two minibars, one in each room, but they were empty. I'm not sure if we were expected to request the hotel staff to stock them, but having some snacks and soft drinks would be convenient. While I wouldn’t consider this a significant issue, it's the only area I can think of for improvement, as everything else was exceptional.

A lovely hotel with the loviest staff members. We were a family of 10 and we had a very comfortable stay. The spa/pool was enjoyable and clean. All amenities were provided. The breakfast was very lavish and the view of the Bosporous was spectacular from the rooftop. Iclal from the breakfast room was really helpful and looked after us incredibly well. The staff at the reception, Mustafa, Hasan and Ahmet were really helpful from the start of the trip. They offered us complimentary tea when we arrived and offered us a packed breakfast for our early morning flight. They were really helpful for any queries we had during our stay. The food at the restaurant was good quality, and delicious. We enjoyed our meal with the view in the evenings. The location of the hotel was a short walk from all major attractions

The hotel is located in a very steep area. As we were a family with children and pushchairs and elderly, walking up and down from the hotel to the major attractions was not that easy for us. The hotel is also located in the middle of an undergarment bazaar, which closes early during the day hence the roads leading up to the hotel were dark and empty without any lamp posts.

The hotel seems relatively new, located on the hillside only a few minutes from the major attractions. Close to Marmaray and the bus station as well. There is a superb restaurant on the top floor with a really great view. Breakfast is good. There is not much of a view from the room, but that doesn't matter much. There is a SPA in the basement, a gym, a pool, a sauna and a Turkish bath. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The hotel is overall in good shape, but some minor details need attention and maintenance. Like, the lift calling button works only in one direction, the shower tap falls off or the window cannot be closed properly. They don't matter much but without maintenance, they will have bigger issues soon.

Demiray turned out to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in in any part of the world. Room was good size, comfortable (especially the bed) and all facilities worked well. Staff friendly and helpful. Well insulated so noise never an issue. Outstanding was the buffet breakfast served in terrace resturant with great view over Bosphorus (it's also open for evening meals when the view would also be good but we didn't get a chance to try that). Great location - easy walk to Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, Basilica Cistern and Topkapi and the ferry wharfs. Hotel arranged airport transfers very effectively - probably could arrange it cheaper yourself but was good to be booked with a reliable company.

The location is a bit hilly in places. Was OK for us but some people may have problems walking the short distance to the main attractions. You definitely would not want to drive in this area.

Staff were friendly and helpful with advice and tips on what's app of tours and various activities. Breakfast and meals on top floor with stunning views of the Old City and main attractions. Rooms were clean. Sauna and hammam facilities were very good. Proximity to Old City and main attractions there. I would stay here again

The hotel is located on top of a hill and you have to walk steep uphill and there can be issues with taxi access at certain times. This is in Old City and the view from my room was of a shabby building.

While the location is excellent, the staff is amazing, and the breakfast offers stunning views of Istanbul. There are a few aspects that don’t meet 5-star standards. One major issue is the inability to control the room temperature, which seems to be a common complaint. Additionally, some elements fall short of a true luxury experience: the deluxe rooms are quite small, fresh juice at breakfast costs an extra €5, and the minibar is completely empty. In my opinion, these factors prevent the hotel from fully meeting the expectations of a 5-star establishment.

The hotel is centrally located, at waliking distance from most of the major attractions. The area is lively at day time, but almost desert at night, which for me was a plus as it was very quite (no traffic or any other noise whatsoever, great for sleeping). Staff was kind and helpfull. Room was clean and well equipped. Air conditioning is powerful in case of warm weather. I appreciated the free bottles of water every day, a nice perk which I loved, thank you! The restaurant, where you can have breakfast both indoor or outdoor, is on the roof top, whith great views of the city and the Bosporus, just beautiful. The nice swimming pool, with hydromassage, and the sauna are an additional reason to pick up this hotel.

Honestly nothing, it was perfect for me and my girlfriend. Some reviews mention the steep uphill path to reach the hotel, but it's just a 3 minutes walk, and if you don't like walking probably Istanbul is not a great choice for your holidays. The fact that you don't have restaurants or bars just in front of the hotel could be a minus for someone, but as I said you are rewarded with quite nights, which is rare in a bustling city like Istanbul. If I had to suggest some improvementes, which is not easy, I would seal better the shower compartment, it was slighly leaking. Last point, if you wish to have a city view from your room window, do ask for it at reservation time. The view from the rooms on the rear side is blocked by a high wall.

The hotel is clean and in a good shape. Good location, within 10 mins walk from Hagia Sofia. The rooms were cleaned daily and an issue with a shower head has been resolved immediately. The breakfast buffet was served on the top floor, with a terrace available and a panoramic view of the Bosphorus.

Most of the breakfast options were repeated every day. Also, there was a separate counter with sweets - after asking for them, they were delivered to my table along with a bill - it would be good to know that these are extra charged and to have the prices displayed.
