Exceptional staff in the reception, building with amazing decoration and location.

Poor WiFi, although breakfast was good it was always the same and staying for 4 nights we were already saturated of always eating the same thing. One very big recommendation is to add more drinks to the breakfast, it’s unacceptable to be charged extra if you want a juice or even water!!

This was the absolutely perfect choice we’ve done! The atmosphere of the hotel was perfect, the location even more! Rooms were very nice and clean . The staff was very kind , friendly and helpful, in every section, especially Latif (in breakfast) ,all of the reception guys , and the PR chief (who was wearing hat) from the restaurant. The food was incredible! The “1772 cocktail” amazing & the music fantastic! The less satisfactory was the amount of the breakfast , I would like more variety. We will visit it as many times as we can, it was perfect!

A bit noisy due to the restaurant.

I’ve been to Istanbul many times and this hotel by far is the best I’ve stayed at! Really, the suite room was just amazing and showed an authentic old world charm. I love the lighting in the room so much and I slept wonderfully day and night. The best part about the hotel in my opinion is its location. It’s right in the middle of Sultanahmet Square and Galata area so all the main attractions of the city are within comfortable walking distance. You can spend all night till dawn along Istiklal Avenue and still be able to walk comfortably back to the hotel passing by the beautiful Galata bridge. The hotel staff were all very warm and accommodating and provided me with every information I needed to go around the city. You can get an Istanbul card in one of the counters inside Marmaray metro station and you can load it up depending on how many tram, bus, or subway rides you wanna do. The breakfast was great too and you will have it in one of the best looking restaurants in the city, which is just a few stairs down from my room. In the evening you will see people dressed up for dinner as the restaurant is a popular fine dining spot. :)

The staff were very friendly and so helpful. Nothing was too much for the team. Absolutely beautiful rooms, felt like we were a million miles away from anything. All while being right in the centre of old town. It was slightly set back from the main chaos of the tourist spots. Which was a massive bonus. Yet the blue mosque and Sofia mosque were only a short stroll away. Would 100 stay here again.

The restaurant staff (totally separate business- no fault of the hotel. ) yet they share the same building were a bit rude and lacklustre (as they stood in front of the hotel main desk at the entry) also the restaurant guests from down stairs would disregarded the rules + signage and enter into the private hotel area. But this was so small and didn’t have a major impact on our stay. But worth a note as it’s somthing that could be easily changed and elevate the guest experience. Hotel staff were so so so lovely :) :)

Very nice hotel in a great location. The rooms are big and have everything that you need. The rooms are cleaned everyday. It is very stylish. We have enjoyed our stay. Great value for the money.

The only downside is the noise from the restaurant, music everyday until 1 am. Also it is allowed to smoke in front of the rooms, therefore you can smell the smoke and hear the noise from the smokers. Take earplugs with you :) Just note that the breakfast is not included when ordering the room through booking.com.

Beautiful historic building. Helpful and friendly staff. We got some great advice and tips for getting around Istanbul from one of the reception staff when we checked in and this helped us navigate our way around Istanbul. Great location near public transport, the Spice Bazaar and lots of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. Comfortable room which was lovely to come back to after a day sightseeing. You could hear buzz from the downstairs restaurant but it was muted in our room so didn’t bother us. Great that you could get coffee in the coffee shop next door as a hotel guest. Very helpful if you had an early start and couldn’t do a sit down breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in Istanbul.

Stunning hotel very interesting architecture! The reception and staff was very helpful and cheerful both in the hotel and the restaurant. We loved the view to the restaurant and despite the comments for the loud noice we heard nothing and slept comfortably.We think is because of the big class doors they have installed in the whole floor. The cleaning service was daily and we had fresh towels,also the bathroom provides hairdryer which was helpful.

The room was a little dark most of the day due to the dimmed lighting. Also the street which the hotel is located unfortunately is closed for cars most of the day so it makes it a little difficult if you have to carry luggage. Price didn’t include breakfast which we thought we had in our reservation. We had breakfast paid separately in the restaurant (keep in mind the price of the restaurant is a little steep but understandable due to the level of cuisine they offer)

The staff is outstanding and the location is perfect! We were warmly welcomed by the reception desk staff, on the 9th October evening, I am very sorry that I didn’t keep the staff name. He was amazing with all the tips and very helpful with everything we asked. We stayed 5 days, and every day we felt very welcome by all the staff around the hotel. The building is stunning and well redeveloped.

The only thing I have to point out is the noise from the restaurant during the evening. Not advisable to light sleepers and if people like to sleep early, like my personal case. Double glazing windows could make a big difference. Another point is the breakfast, very little options with no variations.

I like the concept of the hotel, the room in itself was very nice and the location is perfect. Great breakfast.
