I've just returned from a 7-day trip to Istanbul with my brother, and choosing Venue Hotel Istanbul Old City for our stay was one of the best decisions we made! If you’re wondering what makes it so great, here’s why we loved it: The location is ideal – lively and energetic during the day, yet quiet and peaceful at night. It’s within walking distance of almost everywhere you'd want to visit, and metro, tram, and bus stations are nearby if you feel like exploring further. Cleanliness and comfort of the room and bathroom were absolutely top-notch. Everything felt fresh overall, and the facilities were new and comfortable. Big thanks to the amazing housekeeping team for their valuable effort, cleaning the room every single day. Breakfast was a delight! The food was delicious, and we’re especially thankful to Zara Hanım and the entire team at the terrace kitchen for their warm hospitality and tasty breakfast each morning. The whole staff made the travel experience even more special. From reception to management, everyone was friendly, professional, and easygoing. A big shout-out to Şahin Bey at the front desk – always polite, positive, and super helpful with all our requests. Also, thank you to Ozan Bey for his kindness and support. On our last day, we even got to meet the hotel owner, İbrahim Bey – such a genuinely nice person. You can tell he puts his heart into this place. He’s the one who came up with the entire concept and design of the hotel, and it really shows in the details. In short, this hotel is worth every single cent. The room we stayed in, had beautiful decor. It was also spacious & had lots of natural light. The reception guys are very friendly & helpful. They upgraded us to a deluxe double room. This was a nice surprise after a delayed flight. The property is well located near the Galata Bridge & main shopping area.

Nothing in particular. But if I have to, then I would say that they didn’t make eggs to order for breakfast. But scrambled eggs were available in warmers.

Hotel booked as great location. Communication via WhatsApp as we bus and train towards Istanbul was efficient and appreciated. Reception by Ozan was informative and professional. A good service offered to us, including lovely chap who delivered our held luggage to room, ensuring our fridge worked and all ok. A layered, well presented Turkish breakfast, efficient friendly staff a good way to start day with lovely views and a good coffee.

The shower is dated but still strong hot water.

The location of the hotel was exceptionally convenient, providing easy access to shopping, tours, and transportation. Despite being situated on a lively street, the interior of the hotel offered a peaceful ambiance with minimal noise disturbance when the windows were closed. The front desk staff demonstrated remarkable helpfulness, particularly when we sought recommendations for exceptional seafood dining options. With a single phone call, the hotel arranged for a driver from the restaurant to pick us up and return us after our meal.

The hotel's facilities are somewhat antiquated and modest in size, which is typical for its location.

The hotel’s location in the old town is great. Easy walking (although some parts are up hill) to all major sites in the area and the tram is just a short walk away. Watch out as motor traffic in the area can be chaotic and often comes to a complete standstill. The room we had was of a reasonable size and very clean. Bathroom (with shower in the bath) was perfectly adequate and water pressure and temperature were great (nice and hot). The hotel is on a busy street so there is some noise but it’s not excessive. The breakfast won’t suit those who like a hearty start to the day but I found it enough (bit more than what is often called a continental breakfast). Staff were friendly and always helpful and attentive.

There wasn't anything to complain about. Remember, this is not a five star hotel so if you set your expectations accordingly then you will be more than happy.

Central old town location within east reach of all tourist targets. Breakfast was traditional fare varied and tasty served on a rooftop terrace. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good place to stay

I liked the location, just in the city center and very nice breakfast! It was all variety of Turkish and European style food for breakfast. The room are very cute, has clean linens and even amenities, TV as well. All service for affordable price. As advanced traveller, I highly recommend this hotel in the heart of Istanbul!

Location is wonderful! The neighborhood is very safe, there are several good restaurants and stores in the area, and walking to the main touristic sights in Sultanahmet only takes a few minutes. The hotel staff is very professional, kind and helpful, and although the room is quite small (making it difficult to keep bags open, for example), it is comfortable and clean. Breakfast is varied and well made, and the food was always fresh.

The airport area where you can meet your transfer is chaotic. As our flight was delayed, it took us some time to find the driver we had booked to pick us up - so, I recommend that if you wish to book the transfer service offered by the hotel, you have internet connection right on your arrival to communicate with the staff on WhatsApp, if necessary. Besides that, the transfer service was very good.

Perfectly located within walking distance to public transport and major attractions, this hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing stay after a day of exploring. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The staff were exceptionally friendly, assisting with airport shuttle bookings and providing excellent recommendations for places to visit. The area felt safe and convenient, making it an ideal choice for travelers. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Highly recommend!

Location: many of the major attractions in the old city, variety of restaurants, Eminonu ferry terminal within walking distance. Easy transport to all areas of the city, with tram 1 and Marmaray metro a couple of minutes away. Upgraded to a more spacious corner room, XL bed, individually controlled heating. Helpful reception staff. Included breakfast is a good buffet, mainly Turkish. Same day laundry service (rather expensive by local standards, but very convenient). "Free" airport taxi provided by booking.com a nice bonus.

Not a problem for us, as everything we needed was nearby, but there are no facilities other than reception, rooms and breakfast.
