Let me start by saying that this hotel has been one of the finest properties with the best value, location and staff as I have experienced in my world travels. I am happy to recommend the Regie hotel to anyone planning to visit Istanbul; you will not be disappointed! From my experience (travelling as a couple), here's why we loved it: Staff: Gokhan and the entire staff here are fabulous (he is famous on TripAdvisor reviews for a reason!). They went above and beyond to answer all of my tourist-related questions prior to arrival and organized top-notch taxi transfer service from the airport which made the commute fast and easy. We ended up experiencing an unforeseen situation and they were beyond empathetic and flexible to meet our needs -- these are the times when you can truly tell if the people/company are authentic and caring --- and they are! Their hospitality truly made us feel so welcome in Turkey. Hotel: Rooms are very sophisticated and upscale; we had a standard room, so I can only imagine the superior suites! Everything was spotless and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was in a beautiful room and had a good variety on offer each day. Wish we would have had time to use the complimentary sauna downstairs! Location: Prime location within walking distance of all tourist sights in the Sultanahmet area. It was on a side lane of a popular street, making it easy to access, yet sound-proof from the city noise. We felt completely safe walking home at night from dinners to this location, which is super important. As a side note, I'd used Google Streetview to preview prior to booking and it was hard to get a true vibe of the area. I can attest that it is an excellent location. All in all, if we ever get the pleasure of visiting this marvelous city again, we will 100% be return guests at the Regie Ottoman.

The hotel is in an excellent location to explore the delights of Istanbul. It is not too big and has a charming atmosphere. The rooms are large, clean and tastefully furnished with all facilities provided. The warmth and friendliness of all the staff was outstanding and they would do almost anything to help make our stay so pleasurable. Gökhan should’ be very proud of the services he provides.

Nothing to dislike.

The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff and breakfast were very nice too. The hotel is very well situated - 2 minutes walk to tram 1, Marmaray and Ferry - ideal location to explore the city. There are also plenty of good places to eat around the hotel. We tried the OCAK restaurant in the hotel as well and both service and food was excellent.

You might want to pack earplugs if you don't want to be waken up at 5am by the morning prayer. We could hear it in our room - not the hotel's fault though. In any case I think this would be valid for nearly all hotels in the city.

Staff was very professional, room was small for the price but clean and in a good location- it is not in the main tourist area near hagia Sofia which i actually liked but was walking distance from that area. And it was actually in a quite busy touristy area of its own. Free breakfast was good.

Room was small for the price, airport transfer was quite pricy and outsourced to some other taxi company with random drivers not a driver / van from the hotel. They don’t have much of a lobby / waiting area - if you need to check out and wait, they did do luggage storage which was great but we would have liked a larger more comfortable lobby to wait in.

Wow! What a beautiful space in the middle of Istanbul Old City! The hotel is pristine, with a subtle fragrance of fresh herbs in all the common spaces. The towels in the rooms smell of fabric softner and there is not an inkling of cigarette smoke in the rooms....what a pleasure! The room size is great with enough space to relax and to access your luggage. The front of house staff are so friendly and helpful. It's the little touches that make a huge difference. They have a cute bar with great barmen who can pretty much make whatever you like! Breakfast is great with a good variety to choose from. The TV channels in the rooms are a bit limited, but you can always take your firestick along if this is important for you. We came to Istanbul for an experience so it didnt make much difference for us. The hotel is very well situated within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, and shops as well as some of the best landmarks in all of Turkey! We had a wonderful stay and will surely be back to the regal Regie Ottoman Istanbul hotel...the place of kings!

The property exceeded our expectations. Beautiful boutique hotel that was well priced for the area, lovely spacious room (we stayed in Superior Double) and the service was outstanding. The staff here really is what makes the hotel wonderful. We utilised their concierge service to arrange our airport transfers, our semi private boat tour and Turkish bath experience, both tours worth booking in advance. The restaurant OCAK is delicious (we opted for 5 course with wine pairing), we dined here our first night and again service was excellent. During the day, we grabbed a coffee or wine at their small cafe which was also a great to have in the hotel. The location is close to all the main attractions and restaurants, perfect for walking everywhere.

Good Location, walking distance to most attractions. Room came with breakfast but we did not have an opportunity to enjoy as we had to rush to the airport. Staff did prepare a coffee for take away though.

Bathroom was dated. Had to climb into bathtub for a shower. Water ran everywhere. With old brick walls, there will be leaks. We were informed that most cars were not allowed into street outside hotel to drop off guests during certain hours, unless they had special permission. To be safe, we booked transfer from airport to hotel through the hotel.

Excellent reception and concierge team. They have helped us with a lot of stuff, including arrangement of a very nice luxury boat trip. Pretty decent private transfer to the airport. Very spacious room with nice interior.

There are government road restrictions (10:00-22:00, if I am not mistaken) preventing from reaching the hotel entrance by any transport (including taxis or private transfers). So, the best you can do is to drop near the 41.014121, 28.975119 coordinates and call the hotel for help with bags.

Very central, the room was nice and clean and the stuff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is in a beautiful building, very close to the main attractions. Breakfast was really good, a lot of options. Our room (for 3 people) was nice and comfortable. However, we had 3 rooms and one of them was in the loft. It was really hot and there was not AC control in that room but central system. they help with arranging transport to and from the airport and made recommendations for contact to Cappadocia, which was really useful

We stayed there over the weekend, arrived saturday and on sunday, they didn't clean the room, they claimed we have informed we will be in the room, which was not truth.
