Staff was wonderful-very friendly. We were in the main building out of three total. My grandson had knee surgery and luckily they had an elevator for our accomodations on the 2nd floor. The breakfast was from 6:30-9:30 which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the morning meal. One of the kitchen staff was particulary friendly and helpful showing us how to work the waffle machine.

The building could use some upgrades as far as the hallway carpets are stained and a little lumpy from years of cleaning. There's not a visiting area if you're meeting people there aside from the restaraunt with hours and the main entree has a few chairs but it's in the middle of people coming in and out and the main desk which is busy.

I've stayed at the hotel three times this past month. (a different room each time) Two out of three times the TV did not come on. Someone needs to see if the remotes are working, need batteries or require a complete replacement. It's bothersome especially since patrons are paying for a room with TV as advertised. You might consider refunding some of the patrons' daily fee for less-than-par rooms. I think that would be fair. Also, the floor lamps need a bright bulb as this is the reading lamp for the comfy chair. Even with the shade removed it is too dim.

The breakfast was ok for free. The onsite Bar and Grill was very good. The staff for both was the best part. Usually at free breakfast the food is not fresh, and things tend to be messy, but they put the food out in smaller amounts and kept it refilled. Plus, they kept everything clean and neat behind the previous guest. The Bar and Grill had a good selection of items on the food menu and a good selection of local beer and wines.

This is an older Hotel/restaurant that was remodeled when one of the major chains bought it about 10 years ago. It doesn’t look like when Clarion took over anything was done, and things are well worn.

The room was lovely and well appointed. As a handicapped accessible room, it was okay; but I had to go purchase a shower bench to keep my husband safe. The attached White Horse Tavern was good. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. The housekeeping staff was great.

For 2 days of our 3 day stay, we were without hot water. It's not a deal breaker, but it's certainly disappointing. I would think a price adjustment would be in order. Also, a bridge-out situation made is necessary to take a winding and lengthy detour to reach the wedding activities. While out of the hotels control, it would have been helpful to know this in advance.

Room on 1st Floor which is down a level from the lobby. Not sure why but there was a standalone dehumidifier/ac running when we entered our room which had an overpowering Fabulosa type cleaning product smell. Room was very clean so we did not complain and after several hours the smell got better. Old facility was neat and clean but dated. IMO no hotels should have carpet in rooms. And hallways were not appealing.

It was in walking distance to the Historic District of Harpers Ferry and the view outside our window was stunning! The staff was very friendly and helpful with what we needed. The breakfast was made fresh every day too.

Our shower head when we turned it on to hot, it made a really loud noise and some of the pillows were lumpy (just one or two of them). But other than that I would chose this location again.

Was traveling with elderly was accommodating. The beds were super comfy and wanted to take all the pillows Home. Lol. The complimentary breakfast was great good quality hot and cold choice heavier or lighter fare. Please tip the kitchen dine staff even though self serve its free and worth offering few dollars per person per day of stay probably cost you lots more to Go out get kindness goes a long way They were ok with you taking back to the room if you wanted.Always has ice water coffee available all hrs of the day and Eve. The indoor pool was nice open late till 10 was a Happy plus relax good closure for the day was nice to see they offered clean spa towels for use after swimming.

The floors in bathroom very slippery needed a bath carpet or a non slip mat Would have liked a few more towels had 3 adults they were accommodating to give more

I can no longer remember the gentleman's name, but the front desk attendant was very kind and helpful! He gave me maps on the downtown walking area, told me of the best food and informed me about the Bolivar Battlefield (which was one of my favorite parts of the entire trip!) Our toddler, who is 2, is learning to ride her strider bike, the parking lot was very spacious & she was able to ride around the parking parameter in the late evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, & would stay again, should we return to Harper's Ferry!

The pool water was very chilly for an indoor pool, but I won't say that we "didn't like that" it is just the only thing I can think that we would change! We still swam & had a good time, our toddler loves the water! Oh, I remembered shortly after I typed this, that the 3rd party booking price was 12 dollars cheaper than on site, I think that is silly, you would think the hotel would want more people to book directly.

The property was old but well taken care of. We had a lot of fun. The restaurant was a blast! Breakfast was nice. The pool is old but we enjoyed it. It was warm!

I can’t say there was anything I “didn’t like” because it was exactly what I was expecting. We have stayed in some very upscale expensive places and this place is not one of those places. It’s like stepping back in time. But you can tell it’s clean.

Upon check-in, our safe did not work. We were changed to a different room, but that safe also did not work. A staff member took us to a total of 8 rooms, but half the safes needed new batteries, and the other half were locked. Flooring in hallways need to be cleaned. Pool was a bit murky. Alert! Tree bushes near road obscure visibility of oncoming traffic on the left, making it hazardous to make a left turn, but also (to a lesser degree) right turn because of traffic going so fast.
