lovely hotel, i had booked the family room all clean tidy and looked the part, shower towels hair dryer free WiFi, breakfast was a pick and go. frendly staff on arrival and leaving the next day, i was a little worried being close to the motorway but my room was quiet, the Nags head pub was next door 10sec walk. if i was local to huddersfield again i will 100% this for sure be staying here a good hotel at a good price i havent uploaded and photo(s) of the hotel below for booking.com site as the hotel / picture you view/see are the actual room(s) you get side note> nice pub, good food but very small portion size for the price(s)

Although it used to be a premium inn and still has the remnants of one, it is situated close to all road links. There is a public house within a few yards of the hotel and is not over busy and does fabulous meals. The room itself was very quiet, considering how close it is to the M62, excellent comfortable king-size bed , spacious bathroom, and good size television.

We were not too keen on the grab and go breakfast, although there was a fairly good choice. Toilet requires a soft closing seat, and on arrival, it may be a good idea to ask for an extra key as they operate all the lights in the room.

The breakfast was a grab n go breakfast ordered the night before. The bacon rolls we ordered were excellent. There were also pastries and yogurts with coffee or hot chocolate. Given the lack of space for a breakfast area, they did a good job. The only thing was that my husband had to make several trips to the breakfast area to get everything because I was not physically able to walk to pick up everything.

The lack of a lift. It was lucky that I was on a ground floor room, as I had hurt my knee and stairs would have been impossible. Having said that I think the hotel was sufficiently accommodating that they would have swapped us to a downstairs room if needed.

I booked this for friends who were visiting - a family of 6, including 2 parents & 4 children. They were delighted with their overnight stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, booking them into adjacent rooms. Although the rooms were next to the M62 motorway they could not hear the traffic because the windows have good double glazing. They were especially pleased with the breakfast and all chose the bacon sandwiches and said the bacon was delicious. There was plenty of other food as well and they found it difficult to eat everything. They were also pleased that they could eat in the privacy their own rooms, although there is a small dining area in the hotel. All in all a very pleasant stay to be recommended.

The super friendly staff. The fact that it’s an ex Premier inn so has all the quality and consistency that goes with that. Easy access to both Halifax and Huddersfield

The fire alarm going off at half past midnight! I was told it was a customer using an aerosol but suspect the sensors are just super sensitive. A very slight feeling of being due for a makeover? Slight staining of carpet, the beginnings of mold on tiles, but nothing serious and I would go back again.

Easy to find and has a large enough car park. The check in and out process is really straightforward. The room had everything you need and when we requested more towels they were brought over to our room really quickly. Would recommend this hotel. We didn't opt for on the go breakfast as we ate out instead but it smelt lovely.

The room was too warm and the air con was only available to heat room not to cool it down. Could open the window very little but wasn't an option to keep it open overnight due to the traffic noise off the M62. Ideally the rooms need to include cool air conditioning for a more comfortable stay.

Room was extremely big for what we paid, the location was convenient with access to the motorway and Huddersfield town centre. Hotel staff were all extremely helpful from the young lady who helped us when we checked in who was very efficient as we were late and had our young daughter with us. The following evening when we were considering getting food from somewhere, I enquired with the young lady at reception who checked us in (I can only apologise for forgetting her name) if she could recommend anywhere after I explained our daughter has dietary requirements, she made a few recommendations and helped narrowing down a few local establishments that would cater for our daughter.

Convenient location for my needs, lots of free parking, very friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows. Good value for money. Clean with good towels and plenty hot water. The Nags Head pub right next door was lovely.

'Grab and go' breakfast was poor. Hot sandwich of choice (bacon, sausage or egg) in a tasteless white bread roll. Sweet yoghurt and pastry. No fresh milk available for tea and coffee from a machine. No fresh fruit or remotely healthy option. I'll be happy to return to the hotel (booked again for next month) but won't bother with the breakfast next time.

Dinner at the restaurant next door was good. You can tell it is a previous Premier Inn - deep bath, super comfy bed, mood lighting so you don't have to switch lights on in the dead of night - I always seem to stub my toe on something on the way to the bathroom! Bang slap next to the busy M62 motorway but didn't even notice it Typically for the time of year and area it was incredibly foggy. I am reasonably familiar with the area but when the fog means you can't see past the end of your car bonnet, anywhere is going to be difficult to find, even with Sat Nav

Breakfast was poor. No restaurant, just a machine coffee, a warm bap and a tiny danish in the hotel lobby. Have had much better. If you can't do it properly, then maybe don't bother??

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of space in the room and no noise from other rooms or outside. There is a restaurant opposite so not far to walk for food and refreshments when finished for the day.

I was a bit dissatisfied that when i got to reception i was informed that the breakfast was a hot sandwich only which wasn't stated on the booking. The hot sandwich was nice and well prepped by all accounts but should be stated on the booking before you book as i do enjoy a breakfast to get me going in the morning.
