Big room, very comfortable, view on Nile is incredible and you can watch sunset from rooftop terrace, the hotel is beautiful with a nice garden. The staff was really nice and caring (morning and night manager very funny and always in a good mood but I forgot his name :). Breakfast is nice (we recommend you to ask for Egyptian bread better than white bread). For the restaurant we recommend aubergines with garlic and Tajins ! Swimming pool is amazing and bigger than in pictures! It’s a little oasis to rest after visiting all day and they can help you for organizing activities. German owner is very friendly !

Food is good but uneven : suggest to replace the white bread in sandwiches or breakfast by Egyptian bread, kofta sandwich was very basic for the price and sometimes part of menu was not available.

Good breakfast, incredible staff (kind, helpful, attentive, patient), refreshing pool. Property is like an oasis. If you're looking for a place to stay that's not in the chaos of the city, this is it! Since more of the things we wanted to do (Valley of Kings, of Queens, of Nobles, of Artisans, Temples, Memnon, Ballon rides) were on the West Bank, and because we wanted quietness, this was the perfect spot for us. Taxis can be arranged by the staff to get you to the East Bank activities as well.

The ONLY thing that was not incredible for us was the WiFi. Both my phone and computer had consistent issues connecting.

The beautiful garden, pool and rooftops. Towels at the pool. The staff was also very kind and always making sure I was alright and had water with me.They also offered free juice a couple of time while I was at the pool. The main man at the reception made sure I had a good guide for my trip to the valley of the kings and other site visits. Food was very good. Internet very decent.

The handle of the bathroom door fell off the first day and my bedroom door wasn’t closing very well. There is also a Mosque not too far, which means prayer at 4 am… but I also managed to sleep through. It is not very easy to find.. if you can’t use google maps, which drivers seem not to know to well 😅

The room was very spacious, and all necessities for a comfortable stay were there , i.e. water kettle with tea and coffee bags, hair dryer, heater, extra blanket. Breakfast was satisfactory and the Omelette eggs actually very good an all the other items were well presented . The garden seating was really great, very nicely set up and cozy with wood sofas I wanted to sit all day on and not move.

As I had lunch a couple of times, I noticed that not all items mentioned on the menu were actually available, which was a bit upsetting. Also, when ordering a dish which was available and quite good , and I decided to order again, it did not contain a vegetable pot with chicken , as mentioned in the menu, but only potatoes and chicken. Obviously, this was the only thing available to be put in the dish. Therefore, I believe , that there should be more supervision on what is served as per the menu for lunch or dinner.

The full staff, including service and management, were excellent 👌 the cared about us traveling as an extended family. They gave local knowledge and advice. They gave complementary fruits and juices to manage the very hot weather. The pool, the roof top and the natural environment were a plus in the hot Luxor weather. The people around the very local village were kind and friendly to us. This allowed us to understand part of the local culture and interact with real local village people. All in all a very interesting experience that we will never forget. Thank you manager, staff and the local village people!

The actual hotel grounds were nice. Great views from the roof, a nice pool to sit around, rooms were large, good was good. Also the staff was very friendly, especially Mohamed.

The main negative is the location. It is far away and down a small and bumpy road. This made it such that you couldn't really come and go. Once you we're back from a tour, you just stayed. There is also no sign out front so you aren't sure you are in the right place and it makes it hard for taxis and tours to find you. The other thing is the room was cold (December). Although they did find us a heater for the second night so that helped. Lastly the pillows and mattress were not the best.

I recently stayed at the 5-star Nile Compound Hotel in Luxor, and it was an unforgettable experience. The staff were exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed.The hotel’s amenities, including the pool and restaurant, were top-notch, making it a perfect retreat after exploring Luxor’s ancient wonders. The location is ideal, with easy access to major attractions like the Valley of the Kings. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Luxor.

Great breakfast! Mahmoud & Ilse are great hosts:) Mohammed Ali is a great chef also. We knew that the location was on the west bank, and thus, far away, however this is what we wanted! We saved the east bank for the very last day. Either way, there's always a taxi to call (you need a taxi to get anywhere in Egypt) and people offering to ferry you over by boat for around 100 LE. Mohsen was also very helpful in helping us procure taxis whenever we needed it. 10/10 - everything we wanted

No critiques, but would love it if they had Stellas or Sakkaras to serve by the pool

Super friendly staff and very professional. Impressive service. Super kind management, including Elsa and Mahmoud, the owners. Very kind hearted people! Great peaceful location on the west Bank of Luxor with very nice views of Luxor and the Nile. Peaceful poolside patio. Authentic, semi rural , local life on the doorstep. Although not continental we enjoyed the breakfast offering! Excellent value for money.

There was some smalll issues in the bedrooms, some outside the control of the hotel (eg power cuts , water pressure, midges) but the owners were very receptive to any feedback for improvement and always did their best to solve any requests for improvement we had.

Characterful and peaceful guest house in a village location on the West Bank of the Nile. A lovely 30 min walk to the main ferry crossing, watching village life go by. On the way you’ll pass about 10 little restaurants and we booked a sunset Felucca along here. The guest house also have a restaurant with a nice seating area around the pool. We really enjoyed the slow pace of life on the West Bank and seeing some of the real Egypt. We always felt safe day and night walking in this area, and sometimes used a tuk tuk EGP 50 to get back from the ferry to the guest house. Note the public ferry has moved so you’ll have to charter a private boat (50EGP) each time, but there are many. Nile Compound staff were all really friendly and helpful, we loved the 2 bed apartment we had which really suited our family. We were too busy to use the pool but it looked great. Super breakfast of omelette, feta, rolls, jam, yogurt, honey, fruit and veg. They can organise transport for you to visit the sites, but we hired bikes on the first day and loved cycling through the villages and fields to the nearer sites.

Nothing it was all great. Only problem was that the front gate was really tricky to open and took a couple of days to master!
