A great location right by the beach, lovely little restaurant with good food and very efficient, friendly, helpful staff. Nice little pool. The upgraded rooms with air con are really lovely. Brand new fixtures and fittings, comfy bed, excellent shower, black out curtains, quality linen, efficient air con. Some rooms larger than others but absolutely fine for a few nights stay. Lots of parking on site, payable, or on the streets for free. Tram stop opposite gets you into the centre of town in minutes. Walkable to a few restaurants and beach bars. Great experience.

Only a small thing but there are no facilities in the room to make a drink and no mini fridge but the bar is on site and they do breakfast and sell bottles of water etc also the electricity current is low... the sockets tell you the limit you can use... This might cause a problem for ladies using hair straighteners etc... The price of the rooms was excellent value though so this wasn't a problem for us.

Hostal San Juan is a great place if you are visiting Alicante Its not a "hostal" as we think of it, its really lovely place with a bed/breakfast/dinner type feel. What more do you want, the amazing beach is 20 meters from the hotel accross the road. For those who havent been to this part of Spain, Ill explain what I love about this area. Its peaceful, it has 7kms of unspoilt beach to sit down and relax, its perfect for family holidays or couples. Its so nice, honestly, just do a day trip there an youll understand if not sure. The hostal put me in a lovely unit room, with lovely shower and bed - it seemed it was brand new or recently built. The room was so comfortable and I loved staying in this room. Aircon etc everything. Would you believe at the start of October the temperature was 30C - so its great for those wanting a small holiday after the start of school term as well when its cheaper and less busy. So the location as I said is by the beach. Its great for doing short trips to Alicante Town Centre, El Campello is walking distance away and I went one day to Benidormi even via the Tram right outside the hotel... Benidorm is a mixed bag haha, but worth a day trip to look around. I was glad I chose to stay in San Juan lets say that! Finally - This Hostal is so well run, the staff were so kind and nice to me you have no idea. I want to thank them for how they treated me when I stayed for 5 nights at the start of October. I would come back in a heart beat and probably will find a way to come back soon enough! Nothing it was amazing!

I love the location of this hostal, it's right by the beach and tram. Lovely little pool and outside seating area with umbrellas and food service. All of the staff were really friendly, especially Josepa on reception and Carlos, a new waiter, both speaking excellent English, which made my stay as a solo traveller even more enjoyable. My room was immaculate, with a powerful shower and comfortable bed.

Nothing really, although the bedside lights were extremely bright for settling down to read and sleep.

Exceptionally clean staff very helpful and friendly, food was lovely close to the beach. We upgraded to a Seaview room for only €10 per night. Lovely pool very good for a swimming with the views of the sea. Good Terrrace on the upper floor with views of the sea to sit and have a drink also nice Terrace area on the ground floor next to the bar. There is a tram service station very close (1 minutes walk) to take you into Alicante or El Campello.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here that is not very mobile as there is no lift and quite a lot of stairs. There is not many bars close by, but there are a couple of nice ones within walking distance.

Amazing location with a beautiful beach just accross the road, located in a quiet area but with great transport links (approx 30 mins from Alicante, around 1.5 h from the airport by public transportation). Staff were very friendly and spoke fluent English. The premises were clean and overall well maintained. There is a mercadona around 10 mins walk from the hotel which is very handy

The rooms are quite basic, no air-conditioning but a fan (I don't mind that) but my room didn't even have a coffee table, not to mention a kettle or fridge - this could really be improved, maybe they could set up a kitchenette available to guest etc. A small table in the room would also be useful. I had a nice continental breakfast at the hotel restaurant but the lunch was not great, but I ate there on one occasion only so maybe I was just unlucky.

Everything about this hotel is fabulous, the location is perfect and for such a modestly maeketed hotel it really does tick all the boxes. The breakfast is exceptional and very lovingly staffed. The rooms are relatively basic but the essentials are 5 star ie the showers, and the daily room servicing is world class. I can not rate this hotel highly enough and will be forever grateful for such memorable stay.

The staff was very kind and helpful, the place was clean and the room was perfect for a beach getaway. I liked the location because it was in front of the tram and the beach. There were a lot of restaurants nearby too and stores.

I didn’t like that the hotel rooms did not have a coffee maker or water boiler to make some coffee or tea or whatever. Also the hotel did not have a microwave available to hosts, there was only one microwave inside the restaurant and they only allowed us to warm some paella leftovers once. I think what if I had a baby and wanted to warm some milk or formula? Or drink some tea at night? There was no way to do those things and there could be at least one microwave or coffee maker in a shared area of the hotel for all hosts to use. Also it wasnt very accesible for disabled people and I had a knee sprain and it was kind of hard to go up three flights of stairs all the time.

Quite a nice place to stay. Taking into account the location (fantastic, right at the beach), the price isn't too steep... However, it's not the cheapest place as well. The standard is good, staff is quite friendly and the restaurant is pretty good (although expensive). There is a small, safe roofed parking (which is rare at that location), but paid additionally. All in all, it's worth the money - I'd recommend for couples, people traveling by themselves and groups of friends.

The place was clean and inviting. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic buffet. Lunch & dinner available along with great tapas. There is a lovely beach bar close by serving food all day and drink until late. We found some nice bars and restaurants fairly close the other way too.

It's not really disabled friendly. No lift, so lots of stairs. Also the pool access is up more stairs to the terrace, then only ladder accessibility. No steps into/out of the pool.

Wonderful size of the room and bed ,very clean ,every day cleaning service, change of towels and very good position in front of the beach,nice personal! I would definitely recommend and repeat!!!🤩

Maybe the door should be changed,you can see easily light form the corridor under the door or hear people speaking when they crossing in front of it!The rest , everything perfect!
