The stuff was extremely accommodating and nice and the location was great, right at the center and close to many of the main attractions.

I took this specific hotel because it said it has a spa, which was important to me in this trip. When I arrived to the hotel I discovered that the Spa isn't actually part of the hotel. It was part of a gym and was small, without an option to really stay there an enjoy the facilities, but mainly as a functional spa to spend a few minutes in (which I was charged for). Given this was my main reason for selecting this hotel, this was disappointing. I would advise the hotel owners to write this detail clearly in their hotel description/facilities, to align with guests expectations.

Location was perfect -we could walk to everything. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. Staff was very helpful. Everything was great!

Absolutely nothing!

The perfect hotel, exactly what I was looking for! The highlights: - staff were friendly, kind, helpful, and patient - my room was a delight! I was placed on the top floor and my room had a skylight. It was so cozy and felt like a treehouse with the exposed wood ceiling. Adding a very comfy king size bed and a nice bathroom with a bathtub and I was a happy camper. - wonderful amenities! I enjoyed the varied breakfast every day, which included lots of options for vegetarians (aka me). The hotel also offers spa services and I booked a massage, which was wonderful and the perfect way to recover from an overnight flight -the location is centrally located and bustling. I appreciated being in a busy neighborhood as it never felt deserted even around midnight. Two important things to note about the property, though they were not issues for me: It is about 8-10 minutes walking to the closest metro, and up a slight hill, so that may not be ideal for everyone. There is currently construction happening on the street in front of the hotel, and there is some construction noise on the weekdays. 10/10 would stay here again!

Everything was wonderful!

Great location! The staff were very helpful and courteous. The concierge helped us with booking our train tickets to segovia. We loved our room. Very spacious, clean and quiet. We were on the fifth floor looking into the inner terrace. Nice contemporary decor. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Well ventilated .Great sleep. The bathroom had everything you might need. Lots of storage for your clothes and toiletries. Vibrant area. Lots of restaurants. The staff recommended the restaurant castizo one night, it’s right beside the hotel we were too tired to go anywhere. It was quite good! We recommend the breakfast at the hotel. It was absolutely delicious. The staff so helpful and " smiling. If looking for a restaurant, Ferretería Restaurante we had our best meal in Madrid. The food was outstanding. Based on our experience I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the staff.

One negative. We had to purchase water as only one small bottle was provided for both nights. There is a convenience store less than 30 seconds from the hotel exit. 1 euro- 1 liter water. So that resolved that inconvenience. There were a few little details at check in that we didn’t care for but in the end we were very pleased with our stay.

Overall, our stay at NH Palacio de Tepa was great. The staff was very very attentive. The breakfast team, especially Joanna, Loredana, y Paola, were very efficient and available. Juan, at the evening was very attentive to our needs. The reception crew was very helpful. The location is very centric and there’s a lot to do in the surrounding Plazas

The only area that needs improvement are the rooms, which are a bit small and lack some basic comfort (ex: drawers, desk, & full length mirror). However, the friendly staff makes up for this weakness.

but centrally controlled room temp at 20c is too hot overnight, especially as the bedding is luxurious and warm. I cannot emphasize this enough and others have written about this. I say, staff and NH management can go home to their own temperature controlled environments in comfort, why not us?

Breakfast was good. Could have had a made specifically for me breakfast, like an omelet, but nobody told me. Women travelling solo are ...judged, to put it politely, by the restaurant staff. Only on day four they treated me as they would any other guest offering to make me a coffee, get me a juice, etc. The front desk is professional and great. Location is good. Surprised that this is a 5* facility. It is not, as all the amenities are across the road at the 4* sister hotel.

I stayed for 5 days in a Junior Suites (45 sm), the suites are either split level (Duplex), or on a single floor level with curved ceilings. I had the single floor level suite with sofa. The bathroom had rain shower without bathtub. The windows were distinctive of curved “black steel” French windows, with white wooden doors functioning like curtains (shut the door to enjoy privacy). My suite was on the 1st floor and with a close view of the street. The room was classic and grand. I really liked the electric towel drying rack, with temperature control mounted on the wall which functions from 7 pm - 10 am for any quick washes. Overall, great stay. Quiet hotel. SEE photos

There way no availability for late checkout even thought I wanted to pay extra and I didn’t like the receptionist attitude a bit . I had a 1 day flight delay so the first day was charged fully and I didn’t get even a late checkout . They should add room card access to the lift for extra security and room A/C should be colder especially in the hot weather .

Rooms were comfortable and well equipped. But they were not consistent- we had three rooms, two had kingside beds and one had a standard double bed, but all three were listed as deluxe rooms and cost the same. Breakfast was outstanding!
