My family of 4 got the family room with 4 twin beds. 2 of the twins were in the living room area and the other 2 were in the bedroom area (separated by a door) which worked out nicely for us. Beds were comfortable/firm enough, room was spacious albeit you had to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. They provide liquid hand soap, shower soap and shampoo so bring your own conditioner. We were on the 6th floor so street noise was not a problem. Hotel was very convenient to Puerta del Sol and most key points within the main city center. Staff was friendly. Would stay here again.

The half shower door did not stop water from getting onto the floor nightly even when we kept the shower head on a low setting and turned it inwards. And more hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels/toiletry bags would also be helpful. While there was plenty of hanging closet space, would have been more useful had there been a dresser w/drawers or more shelves in the closets.

The staff was excellent and were very helpful when I needed their assistance. I liked that they cleaned the rooms every day, and the breakfast was descent. The room was clean, and the bathroom was good.

I was on the second floor, right on top of the pizza place downstairs. And some people in Madrid don't ever sleep LOL! It wasn't too bad, but the walls are thin and you can hear people being loud from the outside street. Also, getting my laundry done by the hotel was the most amount of money I've ever paid for laundry at any hotel. It was $77 USD which was 66 euros.

The location is excellent. There is literally no place of interest in Madrid where you could not get from this hotel within half an hour on foot. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was very basic for a 4 star hotel (though I really liked semi-cured and cured cheeses there). The room was small though clean, it was missing the basic amenities you expect to find in a 4 star hotel like electric kettle or coffee maker. Bathroom was clean but a bit old-fashioned. You may hear the people walking along the hotel all night long till 7am or so, but it comes with a prime location ))

Location is very good, staff very pleasant and helpful breakfast very good. Hotel nice and warm with a pleasant aroma room a nice size, big bathroom with large shower area.

Bed small, mattress getting old, needs changing, the biggest problem was the glass bathroom door whoever thought of the idea is stupid. The window in the bathroom had no blind so at night the street lights illuminated the bathroom which then lights up the bedroom, making it impossible to sleep. We had to get a blanket and hang it over the glass door to make the bedroom dark enough to sleep, I would suggest that the hotel get the glass doors replaced with a normal door. otherwise they will continue to get negative reviews.

Our top floor room was quiet and very, very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was really terrific. There was such a wide selection of items. The location of the hotel was great. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We visited the Prado, the Royal Palace, Plaza de España and many other attractions which included a scenic bus tour.

We would have liked to have had more time to see additional parts of Madrid. On our next trip to Spain we will plan for a longer stay at Hotel Quatro Puerta del Sol to do just that. Also the time we had available didn´t leave enough time for shopping. We had already done some down in Cadiz where we spent most of our time, but the stores in Madrid are something that we still want to spend more time in.

location was great, clean room, very friendly staff. Breakfast was the same every day, but it had good options. The hotel is within walking distance to all the major tourist attractions, there are a lot of shopping centers and restaurants around. The staff helped give me the room early, so kudos for that. They were really helpful and also kept my luggage after I checked-out as my flight was in the evening. They booked a comfortable taxi for the airport.

The bathroom taps were old, so they would give very hot or very cold water abruptly. We booked a room for three, and basically it looked like a room for two had been converted for three and they have just added an extra bed in empty space. The room became cluttered because of that.

Location was excellent. So many shops/restaurants all around. Close to Sol. Beautiful holiday decorations once you leave the door. Close to Christmas market and San Miguel market. Easy to catch taxi near hotel. Beds and pillow were comfortable. It was nice that I could control room temp on thermostat myself. Breakfast was so so. But coffee was great and I appreciated that they offered fruits everyday. Also they have a very fast elevator.

You have to slam(?) the door to self-lock. Felt bothersome.

Not only was Quatro Puerta Del Sol magnificently located right in the centre of Madrid & their daily breakfast was so impressive for the price, I must also highly commend the actions of two reception staff members-Arturo & Mariana. They were relentless in trying to help me find a way to retrieve & print my new train ticket when RENFE decided to make changes to my already booked train journey at the last minute! The RENFE link in my email failed us all, yet Arturo & Mariana would not give up till a solution was found. Credit to them both. They certainly deserve being promoted & helped make our stay in Madrid very positive & memorable!

Perfect location. The suite was very spacious, we actually loved everything!

There was usually only one employee at breakfast, to prepare the food, set the buffet, clean the tables, so we usually had to wait for some of the food trays to get refilled. Also, regarding quantities, some items were finished early and could not be refilled for the rest of the morning because they didn’t have any more.

Location is very good, near two metro stations (Sevilla and Sol), lots of businesses and (vegan/vegetarian) restaurants nearby and easy to get to all the attractions. Some staff were really friendly and nice (the morning staff) and some couldn’t be bothered (one guy working in the evening in reception, we asked him a question he didn’t even bother to answer properly).

The double bed is small, so me and my wife struggled to not fall off during the night. The bathroom could have been a bit more cleaner and shower head could be a bit bigger too so more water would come out.
