The location is great - 1 minute to Puerto del Sol, all attractions are located nearby. The staff was helpful. The room is clean, shower accessories were replaced regularly. The mattress is very good. Check-in was pretty easy. I had to check out early in the morning, the staff was accessible. They don't have laundry, but I was guided how to find the self-service laundry

Not an issue, just a suggestion - it would be great to have a teapot in the lobby. Would be nice to have a cap of tea on the November evening

Location is great, walking distance to most everything. The staff was really nice and helpful. They held my luggage without charge for a few hours on check out day. Housekeeping was excellent. The room was simple but had what I needed, including a few amenities such as bar soap, toothbrush/toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner. I hope to stay here again.

My room was in the back so street noise was not at all an issue but if you have noisy neighbors, you'll know it. The hotel entrance is on the second floor and was a bit hard to find at first. It's accessed by an elevator set back from the street to the right of a small tobaco shop.

I'm just back after a four night stay at Centro Sol and cannot praise it enough. Located just a few steps from Sol metro, it's well positioned right in the centre, yet the inner room was extremely quiet and spacious, and though booked as a single, had two twin beds. The reception, on the second floor of the building is serviced by a lift as well as the stairs. The staff I dealt with were so friendly and helpful. My en-suite room was perfect with comfortable bedding, high quality linen, and the bathroom had everything one would need for an enjoyable stay. Cleanliness was 5* too and the room's key card, which is often not an option at hotels of this rating, was very handy when leaving/arriving. No key to be dropping at reception. So, if you want a reasonably priced, clean and central base in Madrid, give Centro Sol a try. The facilities were exactly as described.

I stayed at a single room for 12 nights - it was way better than at the photos! It was very clean, the bathroom was more than big enough, big wardrobe, comfortable bed. The location is exceptional - in the very centre of Madrid. What I appreciated the most was the availability of accessories like a toothbrush, razor, lots of hangers, there was even a shoehorn! I would happily stay at this hotel again.

The only thing I didn't like was the noise from the street, as my room had a window facing a fairly busy street. But that's normal, Madrid never sleeps, and after all, the noise in the center is mainly caused by tourists. :)

Great location for our first stay in Madrid. On a lively pedestrian street. Very close to the Centro Sol Metro Station. Nice place. And no issues. Secure. Comfy bed. Good shower. Clean. And for when you can’t find it, write this down: It’s right across from Jamon Jamon (restaurant) - which you can’t miss. The hotel sign is small. The door faces Jamon Jamon but is tucked back in to the right of a little Tobacco (Vape?) shop. Then you have to hit a button to get let in the first time. Easy walk to Literary Quarter. Lots of shops and restaurants right there. They also had a secure luggage room to hold our bags between checkout and train departure. Bring cash for the key to the safe in your room. That’s not a negative, just good know in advance. You get it back when you return the key.

Perfectly located to trains, taxis, restaurants and sights. Easy walking distance to everything. I had a single room and it was extremely clean, warm, comfortable and quiet. The staff were lovely and accommodating, and I felt extremely safe.

Location is excellent in the center of Madrid, and the staff are very helpful: I had an issue with my window blinds which was promptly rectified. Great access to the Metro, Cercanias, all sorts of top restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk.

You pay for the location and not for amenities — it is quite minimal and there isn't much space other than the bed, bath and a small desk. There is no laundry service even though Booking.com advertises that there is, but there is a small laundromat very nearby.

It was a lovely place to spend a week, in the best central place in Sol to be in, and yet no noise from the neighborhood, one minute walk from the Metro, few minutes from loads of restaurants etc., one metro stop away from Gran Via. The room was medium sized, the bath was spacious and nice, the bed comfortable, and the window had view of a nice building across the street. The staff were super nice and helpful, 24/7 available. It was the ideal place in Madrid for affordable stays with less walk to central attractions.

Not for those who look for luxury hotels. The distance between the sink and toilet was kind of ridiculously small.

The rooms are old but Very clean and cozy! Exceptionally close to station Sol and also nearly everything else is close by and walking distance (supermarket, shopping, sightseeing etc).

Kind of hard to find! You have to go to housenumber nr 5, small entry - looks like private rent and not a hostel at first glance! then take the elevator and go to the second floor to find the reception! Haven't found that explained anywhere else!

Perfectly located at the Sol, the main and biggest pedestrian square of Madrid. By staying here, you will be in the middle of everything important to see in Madrid. Very walkable to any tourist attraction. It was also very convenient to have C-lines from Sol station to the main train station. Room was small (not too small), but perfectly clean with basics regarding furniture with old school elements. It's classic style, don't expect modern style. Reception is 24/7 and you will be safe. Guests were quite. No breakfast, but a lot of options around the corner. Budget friendly. Strong recommendation.
