We arrived at 11-ish from our MSC cruise and the flight home was the next day. I had contacted the hotel to check the possibility of leaving our luggage before check-in. They offered to start the check-in process when we arrived even if we could not access the rooms until between 2 and 3 pm. The staff was very professional and gave excellent service, helping us with all the luggage and asking us about breakfast and dinner plans. The hotel was close to Platja de Can Pere Antoni which we visited and the boardwalk with restaurants where we at tapas at Alma Palma. The hotel also had a rooftop pool and bar even though they were closed due to the off-season we could still access the area and get a great view of the city and our ship which was still in harbor. It was easy to walk from the hotel to the centre of the city even if it took some time to do so. And even though there was a lot of traffic outside, we weren't bothered by it. There also seemed to be a bus stop right outside the entrance, but we never used it so I'm not sure. The breakfast was exceptional with so many options it was impossible to try everything.

There was some miscommunication at the breakfast with the hostess not finding us in the system at first but when we said we were leaving that morning she understood and got another list and we could then access the breakfast buffet.

Very nice hotel. We had a room with a sea view and city view and most important we had a view on sunrise right out of bed.

The two bedroom suite was a perfect size for our family of 4, with 2 bathrooms, a good sized lounge and really nice large balcony there was plenty of space. The location is really good, a very short walk to the beach and a nice 15-20 minute walk into the City, I have read some comments about road noise as the hotel is on a main road but I didn't notice this at all. Breakfast is a buffet style with a reasonable choice and variety of foods which was all refreshed regularly throughout the breakfast service. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, genuinely made us feel like they wanted to ensure we had a good stay and had everything we needed.

There's nothing we didn't like

We really liked the size of the room, and everything was clean. The air conditioner worked perfectly. The location is perfect — just a 5-minute walk to the beach and about 20 minutes along the seaside to reach the city centre. There's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. The A1 bus takes you directly to the airport, or in the opposite direction, it can take you to the city centre if you’d rather not walk. I used the gym twice during my stay. It's not very big, but it has everything you need and all the equipment was in good working condition. Towels and water are provided, and you can also take a shower afterward.

I wasn’t happy with the breakfast options. We stayed for five nights, and the selection was the same every day. I was hoping for a bit more variety each morning. The only downside was that the wardrobe door was broken, making it difficult to open and close, so we ended up just keeping it open the whole time.

Simply the best choice for me! I want to come back again here! Breakfast was very good with a large variety of meats, cheeses, bread, fruit, eggs, humus, ... The view from the floor 7 pool deck was very nice. It was easy to catch a bus to downtown Palma. There is free street parking a short walk away (just have to circle the block sometimes to find a spot).

The glass window from the shower to the bed is a bit odd, but it has a curtain. Water pressure in the shower was terrible.

The hotel is stunning. We stayed in the Level section, in a corner suite. The pool has the best view ever, and the staff in the Level area are amazing. There were complimentary snacks, and drinks all day on level 3. We all loved it.

We had a rental car and asked where we should park. The staff recommended the street, but our car got broken into and the back window smashed! Not their fault, but the garage would have been better. We didn’t have anything showing in the car to entice the break in. The hotel was helpful in providing a vacuum and broom, and towels to cover the seat so we could get back to the airport.

Meliá Palma Bay is a sleek and stylish hotel offering top-notch comfort and service. My room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows and a fantastic view of the sea. The rooftop terrace with its infinity pool and panoramic views was a true highlight — perfect for relaxing after a day in the city. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of fresh, high-quality options. The staff were professional, attentive, and very welcoming. The location is great — right by the waterfront and just a short walk from the old town. A perfect stay from start to finish!

The rooftop pool area has a great view. The nearby beach is pretty nice, we went swimming there twice. Hotel is newer and modern, rooms are spacious and there are plenty of spaces to put your things. Busses stop right in front. Close to the airport. This hotel is good for a few days, or for business travelers.

The location is away from the center and the few restaurants nearby are high price and low quality. The restaurant in the hotel is not good either. We were they for a week and it got tiresome having to go all the way to the center to eat. The pool closed for the season while we were there in mid-October even though it was still very hot. You have to get pool towels at the reception desk and stand in line with people checking in and out.

The location of this hotel suited us perfectly. It overlooks the harbour of Portixol to one side and Palma to the other. It is about a 15 minute walk into Palma central (there are a lot of buses and the hotel were superb at arranging taxis very quickly). The staff are so kind and helpful (bar my comment below) especially Noela and Roberto. The roof top pool and bar are lovely with towels provided. The room was spacious with kettle, shampoo & conditioner (so useful for mini breaks!) and the bathroom was appointed very well. The best thing about the rooms are the thick doors meaning hardly any noise from neighbours (and our floor was busy).

The male lifeguard was so rude and unhelpful. We thought maybe he had just taken against us (my 70+ old mum and I) but he was equally rude to a German family with a little girl! He should not be in this role.
