Unfortunately, our first room was given to us after being poorly cleaned following the previous guest's stay. We found empty bags, used toothbrushes, and even a drill bit in the room. The toilet flush buttons were broken, and water was leaking. I immediately went down to the reception and showed them the videos I had taken, explaining the situation. They were genuinely surprised and quickly transferred us to a "larger" room. The second room, as described by the receptionist Aitor, was "adapted for disabled guests." Yes, it was larger, but it had a window without a view, an unusually high toilet (suitable for disabled guests??), and most importantly, the bathroom door was made entirely of frosted glass. This meant that whenever someone used the bathroom at night, the whole room lit up like a movie screen—just like the hotel’s name—waking up the other person. As a result, we changed our room again. The final room we moved to was truly nice, quiet, and had a great view. We appreciate Aitor and Virginia for arranging this room for us.

Good sized room, comfortable large bed, options for pillows, good AC. Public transport on the street directly outside and about 25min walk from the old town if you’re out until late (when the bus is no longer running). Quiet area so easy to sleep.

Only a coffee machine with tiny espresso cups - no kettle or tea bags or larger mugs for a bigger coffee. As other comments say, you can hear the water running from other guests through the wall, but this didn’t bother us/disrupt our sleep. The lights were bright when on, but there wasn’t a low light option next to the bed for night time so as not to disrupt your partner

Quirky cinema themed rooms added interest. Good decor and comfortable beds. Minibar and safe in the wardrobe and Nespresso coffee machine available in the room with a couple of pods provided. Loved the complimentary tin of sweets and the one of nuts as well. Small store selling fruit and a few basic essentials and a small bakery/coffee shop 100yds along the main Street.

Poor soundproofing with regard to toilets flushing and shower drainage noise. Also poor soundproofing from bathroom in general… frosted glass door only, with a small gap all the way around it. Could also hear people walking around upstairs. 15-20 min walk to the old town but not too much of a problem.

Extremely clean and modern, thoughtfully designed and artsy hotel! Room was comfortable and staff were generally friendly, particularly Aitor who helped us on multiple occasions. Appreciate the easy access from hotel to old town by multiple buses (less than 15 mins journey), 5 mins walk to Amara-Donostia Euskotren station to go to France and 15 mins walk to Bus Station to go to Bilbao and other cities.

Air conditioner seemed to be centrally controlled and had limit to its fan power and temperature. Had to trouble reception to ensure our AC temperature would have cold fan wind remained throughout the night.

Very clean, great staff, amazing breakfast. Room perfect and very well designed and thought out. For example bath robes and towels were right next to the bath. Also there were a few freebies in the room when we arrived. Snacks, coffee pods, relaxing pillow spray. Very friendly and helpful staff, particularly in the breakfast area and very late at night where the front desk was still staffed which sometimes you don’t get.

The room was really nice and spacious. The bed was very large which was great. And the room was absolutely spotless - one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The room service breakfast was excellent and very generous! While not in a central location, we really liked the Amara area - it was pretty quiet with lots of local shops etc, so you felt like a local rather than a tourist.

The mattress was a bit flat and could have been more comfortable. Only a coffee machine was available in the room, no kettle which was a bit annoying.

We loved all of the amenities at Hotel Zinema. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we’d ever had. There is a fresh orange juice machine and made to order eggs. The room was very comfortable and we appreciated the bidet. Staff was helpful and friendly.

The parking underneath the hotel (level -4) was a bit of a pain to get in and out of but we appreciated not having to figure out parking on our own. The hotel is located outside the old city but the walk never bothered us. We loved that they loaned out DVDs but one was scratched half way through and the other didn’t have English subtitles so it didn’t really pan out for us!

The old cinema theme of the hotel with pictures of old movie stars and old movies is nice, it gives a bit of a personality to the place. Everything was just fine except the parking detailed below .

This booking was part of a roadtrip we did in the north of Spain therefore one of the main selection points for us was the parking. We however missed the fact that you had to book your parking spot in advance (the reservation was made probably a month before the stay) and when we got there they told us their private parking was fully booked. This was a bit disappointing and we had to find another parking nearby which in this city with tight busy streets was not a very fun:) In the end we did find an underground parking spot pretty close to the hotel so everything was ok.

The room was very spacious, clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also quite large and had everything we needed. Location was ok, 15 minutes walk to the city center, quiet neighborhood with lots of shops and places.

The walls are pretty thin, we could hear some guests screaming and talking very loud at 4 a.m We contacted the hotel and they called the room and made sure they would keep quiet. They were very responsive.

Great hotel in San Sebastián, location is a little bit off from center of attractions but there is public transportation right across the street that helped perfectly. Parking is also available but a little tricky to get in. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Loved the bathroom mirror as it didn’t fog up in the bathroom after taking a shower. Breakfast and cafe was great to use although many restaurants are in the neighborhood as well. Would highly recommend this hotel and stay again when in town.
