My first time visiting the U.S., and I wanted to find a place that reflects the true American spirit. Not the most modern or trendy — but the most authentic. And I truly feel like I found it. The rooms were exactly what I imagined — and somehow even better. They had character, warmth, and a feeling of life that you don’t get in sterile hotel chains. Every corner felt thoughtful and real. The building is spacious and incredibly well-kept. I loved the furniture, the layout, the atmosphere — everything had charm. Breakfast was perfect to start the day. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always helpful. Thank you so much for making this stay such a meaningful experience for me. Elsa, the breakfast attendant, is a remarkable person. When she saw we came in with our infant and toddler she promptly cleaned off a table and high chair. She has wonderful family values and she is a hard worker and very detailed oriented. She is welcoming and warm to everyone we saw her interact with. Also the front desk person, I believe his name is Marco, kudos to him too. I spoke with him over the phone and he was very welcoming and helpful. When he checked in he was again sincerely helpful and warm. Great staff overall!

The bathroom door in our room would make a popping noise when opening.

We love the Adams Inn. Second time we've stayed here when we've come to Boston. The staff are super helpful, and the facilities are clean and comfortable. The Adams Pub attached is a great place to watch the Celtics with a glass of Sam, we were even invited to Joe's karaoke on the sat night but couldn't go as we had to be up early for our flight.

My only complaint is the gym is poorly equipped. Hotel gyms generally are a bit rubbish, but there isn't even have a decent set of dumbbells! Also, parking used to be free, but is now $10 a night, which we were not forewarned about.

Great location to get easily into Boston, Quincy or the South Shore. Beautiful view of the Neponset River and Bridge from the room! Size of room, bed was comfortable. Good breakfast included in price!

The reason we rented a car was because of the parking that they actually have on premises. I saw mixed information on the internet saying you needed a reservation or there was a cost or one search indicated it was free for guests. (They do have paid parking services for anyone wanting to take the T into Boston whether they are staying at the hotel or not.) I contacted the property through Booking.com but never got a response. I did notice on Booking.com that it was $5 per day. When I got there it was $10 plus a service fee per day. (By the day not the hour so wasn't really worth it since the car was barely parked there during our stay.) Clarification ahead of time would have been helpful.

Great location a 10 minute walk to take the subway to Boston. Several restaurants along that path plus an onsite restaurant. Free parking. Beautiful view or river from our room which was comfortable and roomy. We suggested to the property that the addition of a floor lamp next to the sofa would be an asset since once the curtains are closed to the very large window that area is dark. Already a response from the property so they obviously they care about their clients! Great breakfast and coffee and tea available 24 hours/day.

Just needed another light in one corner of our large waterfront room for when the curtains were closed.

Everyone was very nice. Food for breakfast was good. Our room was very comfortable. It was on the water and had a nice view! It also was very quiet.

Hallways were not very well maintained. When the maids were cleaning the rooms, they just piled up the trash in the hall. It stayed there most of the day. I didn't think that it looked very good. The elevator floor was very dirt. Also, there were people just sitting around all day. I don't think they were staying or working there.

The staff was helpful & friendly We also enjoyed the pub

We had a dog barking right across from our room. Dogs should not be allowed to be alone in rooms. Also, maybe having a block of rooms where dogs can stay with their owners. My husband is allergic to dogs so staying in a room where a dog has been is not good for him. Our door getting into the room stuck ( room #319). The rooms were a bit outdated but our bed was comfortable

The room was a good size, clean and had everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was ok. The Adams Pub was great, had friendly staff and the meals were plentiful and delicious.

The location is the only negative I have it is very hard to get to especially when new to the city due to the traffic and complicated road system.
