I was driving through West Virginia and needed a place to stay overnight. The reviews suggested a lot of positives. I was happy with my choice. As noted by others, the breakfast is geared toward cold cereal, oatmeal, waffles, and muffins/toast good enough for me, but for the cost, no need for eggs, bacon, sausages, omelets, etc. Any dissatisfied guest should head for the local breakfast joint, Cracker Barrel, etc. not too far away. The parking was well-lighted. It is very close to the interstate. The AC/heater had an exceptionally quiet fan. Just what I needed.

(1) Do a quick stick-and-pull to get the electronic key to open the door. If you are slow, it won't open. (2) I like longish hot showers. This one was warm, perfect for most visitors. (3) The most surprising issue was that the booking.com price ended up being about $10 greater than what I would have paid if I had bothered to log into the Choice hotels loyalty program to which I belong. I always counted on booking.com to provide a better value. I've been using booking.com for many years. This is the first time that booking.com charged me more than I would have paid by making my reservation directly with the hotel. Live and learn.

The location was great for what I needed to do. I like the idea it is pet friendly and on a budget.

I didn't like the fact that the exterior doors do not latch as they should. That's really the only thing I didn't like. All though the area seems to be a pretty good area. But it just seems to be a guest hazard.

Mattress/bed was excellent. I was super tired after a long trip, was able finally to get 9 hours straight good night sleep. Got up well rested and ready to hit the road again.

Poor flushing toilet. Lack of side door lock. Technically anyone could come into the building.

It was clean, comfortable and quiet. Also, they didn’t have enough quarters to give me change for the laundry so the night manager just washed our clothes for us in their machines! Talk about great customer service.

Nothing.

The location was perfect. Easy to get in and out of. Right off the highway. The property is located outside Beckley but only about 4.5 miles from food and shopping. The staff at the hotel was amazing. They were so accommodating and ensured we had what we need at check-in. Also placed us close to another family we were traveling with, which was nice.

The hotel is undergoing renovation so there is alot of construction. Not the fault of the staff, which took this brunt from other travelers checking in ahead of me. The renovation did not impact the stay. For breakfast they have a grab and go which is more than acceptable.

Staff when I checked in was very friendly and accommodating. The rest of the staff were not as cordial. Other than that it was a great place. Close to the interstate.

I asked for new towels and wash clothes. They were delivered to the room while we were gone and placed on the bed. The dirty was not picked up. I had stacked them by the bathroom in a pile. So I took them to the laundry room myself when we got back from the day..

Location

The beds are hard and worn out and the walls were nasty and lamp shades were terrible with stains shower leaked water in the floor not much breakfast to choose from but at least they have tutors biscuit world across the street

Breakfast was pretty good; room was clean and serviceable. The desk folks did us a huge favor by calling us when they found my son's airpods. Fortunately we were going to be headed back by the area, so we did not lose too much time. Big props to the Sleep Inn staff for preventing a loss of a non-trivial item.
