Latin Quarter location worked well for me, a solo older female traveler. Check-in went well, even with my limited French language skills. My small single room was clean and adequate for me, the bed was comfortable, I could put my suitcase on a shelf and hang clothes. What an eclectic interesting mix of books on the shelves, the desk was appreciated, WiFi adequate for my needs. Bathroom had shower that worked well. The elevator has a delightful ceiling. I loved the breakfast: freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee made to order, an omelet with bread and greens, other egg choices including spicy eggs which were amazing as well. I’m so glad I chose the smaller room with the breakfast, but if I were traveling with someone, I’d choose a larger room to share. I was out and about at lunch and dinner the 5 nights I stayed so I didn’t try the rest of the menu. While I’m probably not in the demographic the hotel’s aimed at, I was warmly welcomed and treated very well by all staff. Being in the Pantheon Sorbonne neighborhood, French Theory has lots of interesting sites, restaurants, stores in the area, and a metro stop nearby. I definitely would stay here again on my next stay in Paris. Bonus: Luxembourg Gardens were blooming.

As everyone might be aware of, the size of a hotel room in Paris is not very big. But this has a great efficieny. The open wardrobe, the little desk, even a TV and the bathroom with bath (instead of a shower only) I really liked the layout and the sheets and towels are clean, as well as the room itself. The coffeeshop within the hotel is also worth to mention. I liked their coffee and the breakfast option. Well done, team. Speaking of the team, I asked them to put and keep a few bits of mine to the fridge/freezer. They were very helpful. Great location too.. a very good value/performance ratio

There is a hazard. The TV stand corners are too sharp! I hit my arm. I can’t understand how this is escaped from attention

Loved the location, walking distance from Notre Dame which was amazing. There is a cafe/restaurant downstairs with delicious coffee and pastries. It's a quieter less touristy neighborhood with many restaurants so you have so much choice. And a special mention to the water pressure in our shower, it is the best I have ever experienced in a hotel ever. I would happily stay in this hotel again.

Only negative about this hotel was that the elevator was very slow, but that is something you just need to factor in as part of your stay. Room was on the smaller side but it was stocked with really thoughtful items like a record player and a bottle of wine -so we'll call it cozy not small.

The hotel has nice staff and the rooms are modern with a focus on contemporary design. There is a lift, in-house cafe/bar and what looked like a communal workspace/library on the ground floor for guest use. Bedrooms are a decent size and the bathrooms are big enough unlike some other Paris/London offerings. Close to Luxembourg RER station which has elevator access and Cluny-La Sorbonne metro, which is stairs only.

The rooms are pretty soundproof but I could still hear another guest sitting in the stairwell on the phone late at night - not the hotel's fault but the door didn't fully block the loudness of their voice.

Great location, just few steps away from the Pantheon. Small but cute room, with modern and minimalism design. The staff are generally friendly. The cafe/restaurant serves great coffee, although with above-average prices.

The room is too simplistic without enough considerations for the travelers to arrange their stuff. I have to put many of my things on the floor. Not ideal if you want to stay more than 1-2 nights. There are hotels with similar small rooms but with better considerations in details. Got assigned a room in the top floor, and the shower is under the tilted attic roof. You can't stand straight when showering.

The location was incredible - Luxembourg Gardens practically at your doorstep, lots of transport options and easy walking distance to so many attractions! It was a great place to make my home base for my stay in Paris. The bed was also very plush and comfortable. The coffee shop downstairs is great too, I found the coffee in Paris to generally be quite bad but this coffee shop does a great brew! The staff are a mixed bag - some are really friendly and nice, others are cold and terse in that typical Parisian manner.

My room was very small with barely enough space to open up my suitcase and still walk around the room. The shower is also very tight and leaked every time I showered. On one occasion the leak was so severe that the water ended up completely flooding the bathroom into the main room and almost in all my luggage. I informed the staff and their suggestion was strangely to “shower with your back to the screen door” as though that was the issue and not the lack of proper seal on the bottom of the screen door. Also with no available fridge or kitchen facilities (neither in room or shared space) it makes it really had to do anything but eat out. Even making a cup of tea was not possible as there is no kettle. I suppose this is to encourage guests to make use of the cafe.

Although it was more money the breakfast was excellent when I arrived I was given a room in the attic with one bed and a very small room with no where to put my case or clothes .I said I couldn't possibly manage in that room so they found me a double room with a stand for my luggage and room to hang clothes .There are no wardrobes or drawers which for a 5 night stay is not at all suitable .The beds were comfortable and the concierge on duty were very helpful .The hotel was a little out of the way from some main attractions. In due to of course the metro is near by and convenient but takes time to get to understand it . cold/rain winter is is more difficult to have a long walk to Louvre/GareD'Orcay , but in walking distance to Notre Damn

Every morning there was a different person taking the breakfast orders no wardrobes or drawers in rooms

French Theory is one of the best hotels if you want to explore Paris not only by metro but also on foot. It is very close to the RER B stop (Luxembourg), so access to both CDG and ORLY airports is very easy. The hotel is in the Latin Quarter and very close to many attractions, such as Luxembourg Garden and Pantheon. The room is small but enough for a solo traveler. Clean room and friendly staff are other advantages.

French Theory is located on a street in the Latin Quarter, close to Boulevard Saint Michel. If you prefer a calm and quiet hotel, French Theory is not the best option :(

The location is absolutely phenomenal. Just on the edge of the 6th but in the 5th. The real bonus is the best crepes in Paris are located just across the street at Au P’Tit Grec. I’ve been going there for over 30 years. It’s very easy to get to everything from this location. And, the RER B line is just two short blocks away.

Food is still excellent downstairs, but they did not have their usual smile on in the dining area. Maybe it was seven days of clouds. The noise from some work being done next door was a distraction one morning, but I just got up earlier the next day. Everything in the room is tight. If you lean over, make sure you don’t hit your head on a projectile.

I've booked it for my brother the last minute, so he could stay near us, and I really did like the fact that pictures didn't lie. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Not too small. I loved the idea of the books in the rooms. Location is just perfect, next to beautiful Sorbone building. And: ▪︎Close to metro. ▪︎5 minutes to Pantheon, 5min to Luxembourg gardens. ▪︎10min to Notre Dame. ▪︎25 min to Jardin des Plantes with good 3 museums for kids and adults (Dinosaurs, Mineralogy and Evolution). And the whole street of not too pricy cafes there.

It's not that we didn't like, but it is kind of funny. My brother kept passing by the entrance, because there is a book shop on the ground floor too and it confused him :)
