Check in was very easy. The car park was right next to the hotel. The room was clean and had an ironing board and iron in the room. There was tea and coffee making facilities. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and proper toasters to use. The breakfast room was a good size and looked out at nice green area. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly. The hotel is only 3 miles from the village our relatives live in so is ideal when we visit.

There was a choice of hard or soft pillows, the hard one was like laying on a rock; the soft one was smaller and didn’t give any support, I had to fold it over which was not ideal. A medium pillow would have been better for me. There was only one small towel which we both used to dry our hands so I didn’t have one to dry my face, it would be helpful if there were 2 hand towels in the room.

Everything was really good however, I stay regularly and over the past couple of weeks the cost of staying at Holiday Inn Express has increased significantly so I do not think it can be described as a budget hotel. Also I have experienced a leaking toilet in two different holiday Inn Expresses, and needed to change rooms so this was inconvenient. In addition, in one room I stayed in a couple of times the view out right outside of the room's window was one of the hotel's dirty laundry waiting to be collected.

Some of the room's need some attention to keeping remote control's for TV's working well and making sure everything is well maintained in the bathroom's as well as the rooms themselves.

Very cost friendly stay and serves as a super budget base for a weekend away. Staff were friendly and helpful from arrival to check out. Food in restaurant was really nice and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good too, but was very busy. Location is great if you're wanting somewhere close to a main road with lots of fun stuff to do close by.

Hotel was noisy, dependent on the who you have staying in rooms around you, but walls seemed thin haha! Pull out bed (2nd bed) was very lumpy and bumpy but did manage to sleep on it. Breakfast was nice, but was rammed with people jostling for the little space there was. Also a pot of marmite for everyone to share... little individual pots would be a nice touch.

The hotel was really nice and in a good location. Staff were really friendly, and bedrooms good. Breakfast was also really good.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was very cold and when I asked for an extra blanket at night reception, the staff member not only bought a duvet but also a heater and sorted the TV when it went off. Very happy with help. We missed breakfast (our fault entirely, slept thru alarm). Staff helped us get a coffee and fruit, thankfully. Great staff all round.

07-01-25 I have just received a Penalty charge demanding £100 / £60 if paid within.28 days. I booked in advance and registered on the screen when we arrived too. Please can you conform this with Parkmaven.

The breakfast was excellent, offering plenty of choices and everything was hot.

Having been on the road for 7hours we opted to have our evening meal in the Hotel. The menu was not to our taste but we did find a main each, sadly rather bland and priced about 30% above what we think was its true value. We made no complaint about the food because that is the offering from budget hotels. Having said that we will go back time after time, they have great staff comfortable rooms and we have a good night's sleep (we will just pop out to eat)

Great breakfast and quiet room

I frequently stay at this hotel and in my opinion it cannot be described as a budget hotel when the prices go really high sometimes e.g. up to £153 per night for a twin room. Also, in one of the rooms (room 28) the view is immediately and closely facing outside the hotels dirty laundry which is often left all hanging out of the place they put this waiting for collection - not a pleasant sight at all, and in one of the rooms (room 32) the toilet leaks.

We stayed here a year ago and came back as we were satisfied with our prior stay and knew what to expect. The hotel didn't disappoint. The staff was attentive and made us feel welcome, the room had everything we needed/expected. Easy access to the hotel from the motorway and perfect location for us going to Box End park (~8min drive). We were checking out early 5am on Sunday and had takeaway breakfast, which was a really good value (good variety) and in fact it was a life saviour later in the day :)

Bit of musty smell in the room - but after some time you get used to it. If we remember correctly, our room this year smelt worse than last year

Everything. From when I entered we were treated well and saw the same guy, unfortunately I don't remember his name but I'll surely return to holiday Inn express bedford. I was treated with respect, and sleeping was comfortable. The facilities were all good, and breakfast was an excellent layout and catered to all. If you want to have a relaxing getaway holiday inn express is the place to go.

There wasn't anything not to like.

The receptionist was exceptionally warm and friendly on arrival, as was the lady serving behind the bar in the evening. The rooms at Holiday Inn always have all the mod-cons and this was no exception. Good water pressure, which makes a change for a hotel shower.

The only thing I'd say was a minor negative was the fixtures and fittings were ever so slightly worn on the shower door and the bathroom tap. Both were slightly wobbly but not a negative at all, I just need to fill a box.
