I made reservation in Superior King Room and asked for the top floor with view towards old city. To my surprise hotel did not report me that they have not such combination and I could not reorder room. When we arrived I was told that I can get such room but it is of lower class. I was told we can get it but without return the price difference. This indicates a complete lack of attention to special requests! This is unpleasant for a hotel of this level!

Excellent location for the old town and easy to walk everywhere. The suite on the 20th floor had breathtaking views.

Breakfast was a bit chaotic but understand it will be busy this time of year. Staff efficient clearing tables and re stocking too Our booked room had been allocated to another guest however we accepted an upgrade for the first night and asked if we could keep the room the following day We were told we could so unpacked only to be asked to vacate the room the following evening! Needless to say I wasn’t happy at the thought of packing again and moving rooms. An hour later we received a call to say we could stay in the room. As we booked Jan 24 I’m surprised our original room was unavailable at arrival

Very good historic hotel. Bed was super comfortable and views of the city from hotel were amazing. Staff were friendly at reception. KGB tour was very interesting.

Shower was not the greatest very weak. The restaurant Amarillo was very poor with bad service and bad food.

It's a famous hotel, and it didn't disappoint. We needed a bigger room to have 3 adults and a kid - not a simple task in general hotels that cater mostly to 2+1, or offer suites. "Family room with a bunk bed" turned out to be a good deal. The room was large and spacey, had excellent views and comfy beds. Everyone we met were very helpful and friendly.

The breakfast; the dessert part was much more than expected - several cakes, pancakes, fruits, bonbons, soft cookies... Everyone loved it. But hot dishes could be a bit more varied; most hotels in this price range would have fried eggs (this one had only omelette) and salmon. No big trouble as such, we had more than enough to fill us. Also, maybe it was just about our room, but we had the kettle but no tea; we had to get some bags from reception.

I had a wonderful stay at Sokos Viru Hotel in Tallinn. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the charming old town and conveniently close to the port, making it perfect for sightseeing or travel. The room was spacious and comfortable, offering a fantastic view that added a special touch to my stay. Breakfast was a highlight, with a rich selection of options to suit all tastes, though I found the coffee a bit disappointing. One small downside was the lack of a tea/coffee machine and minibar in the room, which would have made the experience even better. Overall, Sokos Viru Hotel is a great choice for its excellent location, comfortable rooms, and hearty breakfast. I would gladly stay here again!

I booked a hotel room with 2 beds with an extra bed for a child and the room was large enough to have room for 3 full size 1 pers beds and still leave room for moving around. The room had a hardwood floor, which I always like. I appreciate that we got a room with sea view. Breakfast was great. It was super busy but everything was taken care of quickly, there was always enough food and no long queues. Enough choice and good quality food. It was even possible for my mom to join the breakfast for 15 euros (which is really a steal for this breakfast). Staff was helpful and friendly.

The bathroom in our room was a bit dated. Water stayed in the bath for a while. The floor was dusty (but in general the room was clean enough, nothing dramatic).

Sokos Viru is perfectly located in center of city walk to old City Tallinn, Friendly staff, good breakfast,large rooms, freat old city views, What i was really surprised for tracell8ng over 30 years around the world: my room was not clean even once for 5 days stay !! I did not like my room never was given a cleaning service for my 5 days staying in hotel.

Very good position, literally in the shopping mall Viru, and 2-3 mins walking to the old city of Tallinn. Parking is available in the shopping mall parking, for a bit less than 20 euros per day. Our family room was not too big, but enough for 2 adults and 2 kids and a dog. Beds quite comfy, there was also a desk from which you can do some remote work in case of need. WiFi was good.

Only basic coffee was available in the breakfast, if you want some special coffee or cappuccino you need to pay some extra

The room was great, with comfy seats on windowsill (the windows cannot be opened) - there also was air conditioning to keep the room a nice temperature. The breakfast was good, quite a big selection. The bathroom floor is heated which is both good and bad as it can get too hot in bathroom.

There are no coffee making tools in the room itself, which is quite frequent in such type of hotels, but that's not a big downside.

The hotel is very well located. It is just in front of the old city gates and 15 mins by foot from the ferry terminal. It has a lot of facilities: spa, restaurant and breakfast included. Staff was frienly and helpful. Good to stay 1-2 nights.

The room was old-fashioned and a little too small. Breakfast was really bad which was a surprise. Scrambled eggs were overcooked and gummy. So was the rest. Definetely there is a room for improvement there.
