Very close to the airport. So close in fact that it was almost embarrassing getting on the free shuttle bus when we could have easily walked! However it was dark when we arrived so it was easier to go on the mini bus. The communication prior to arrival was great. The room was large and well set out for a family with the king bed being in a separate section to the bunks wi beds . Each section had its own TV! The pool was an excellent size . Enough to do your early morning swim if so desired. Our grandson loved the waterslide. All Staff were friendly and helpful. The dinner we ordered was plentiful and tasty.

I’m a bit of a travel breakfast snob I suppose……..I think the continental breakfast should have been included in the room rate. Paying $80 FJD for 3 adults is way too much considering it’s so basic. Breads, fruit, cereal and yoghurt . Stale or defrosted croissants…..Most people at this hotel would be starting or finishing their holiday and it’s always nice to have a fancy breakfast that you would never bother with at home. Having said that, you can order from the menu if you so desire. We should have . In short , skip the continental breakfast and go straight to the menu.

The room was great and staff at reception were very good as per my feedback. However on returning home I was unpacking and realised all my jewellery was missing. I lost 4 pairs of earring, a pair of bangles and two necklaces

Please return the stolen jewellery

Very comfortable, spacious and quiet room with all amenities, good air condition, private terrace, refrigerator, all perfect! Also, very nice outside restaurant area, excellent food, friendly and attentive service!

Management of booking.com procedures need improvement - or, rather, make booking and payment directly with the hotel! I stayed here twice within three weeks, both through booking.com: the first time, the hotel could not find my booking, and it then took 30 minutes and three staff members to eventually find it; the second time, I needed to wait again for 30 minutes to get my final bill since the credit transfer from booking.com did not show properly. While all staff was eager to solve the problem fast, apparently the booking.com procedures are not integrated well into the hotels own systems.

The hotel is only a 2 min walk from the airport, which makes it really convenient to get a taxi, and to get to if you're catching a plane. The staff were 10/10, really helpful, friendly. One of the ladies went out of her way to check if they something we were looking for. The hotel was really clean.

Though the location is good for those who want to be near the airport, it's about a 10-15 drive away from Nadi town. You need to get a taxi to get to anywhere worth visiting. We were prepared for this, but worth noting if you dont want to pay for taxis everyday. In our room (room 721), the water pressure for both the shower and tap were pretty poor. The restaurant doesn't have the widest range of foods on it's menu, or as part of it's continental breakfast.

Second time staying there layover flight great to see renovations done

Immediately across the road from the airport terminal, this is an excellent choice for an overnight stay as you don't need to wait for a shuttle bus. The Gateway has a nice open-air, tropical feel to it (unlike most airport hotels) with a 'Quiet' pool near the bar and restaurant and a huge, noisier pool with sunloungers and a waterslide off to one side. The food and drink is good quality at reasonable prices. Rooms very clean and bigger than I was expecting.

Easy access from the airport (though I did ask for a pickup and no-one arrived). I never mentioned this at the time as it was easy to walk across to the hotel. Lovely, clean pool. Gym had a fair amount of equipment in good order. Staff were friendly. Food was good without being exceptional. Overall cleanliness of the hotel was good.

The staff. Were genuinely helpful, attentive, polite, and wonderfully warm. Well done to the training or HR team on doing a fabulous job with your staff. The proof is definitely in the pudding. The ladies at breakfast were so attentive, and we were greeted with big, beautiful, warm smiles. The bar and cafe staff were engaging and interested in what we did for the day. One particular lady at the bar knew our drinks and had them out ready to serve, very impressive. Overall, the housekeeping gardeners security front desk staff and the above staff mentioned. You are all a fantastic team who are striving to do the best. Vinaka Vaka Levu Till next time.

Probably the food. It wasn't horrible but I had the curry fish and steamed fish and they were over cooked. The curry fish was chewy like meat. I got mushrooms on toast as the menu described fresh mushrooms however they were canned champignon mushrooms. In saying this my friend ordered the steak medium rare and wow this could not have been cooked anymore perfect. It was so delicious.

Close to the airport, great facilities for food and drinks. Pool & waterslide

The hotel has lobby internet for free and charges various rates for internet in the rooms. It gives the impression that the paid internet in the rooms is better than in the lobby. It is poor at best in common areas & just as bad when paid for. Felt like we’re being swindled by the hotel when we complained. Everyone in there knows it’s not better & they ‘recommend you use the common areas for internet’ . Don’t think that is right !

I love gateway for its close proximity to the airport. The staff were warm except for one small thing. I found it odd they did not offer to help me with my luggage to the room. I had to lug my suitcase, backpack and another bag all by myself up the stairs. I noticed they offered to assist a white couple after me who had less luggage. I really hope this is was a once off thing cause I must say I was wondering if this was a bit of racism because I am an islander. On check out I called for the porter. He was super helpful though late. Was in room 711. The AC though set to 17 didn't feel cool enough.
