The cottage was very comfy, welcoming, warm, friendly, traditional Finnish-style with well-equipped kitchen. The location is very quiet, surrounded by forest and the bus station is nearby. You can park for free in front of the cottage if you came by car. A little bonus if you have kids: free sleighs at the reception!

The bathroom is pretty small but clean. You have to pay 10 EUR/set of towels and linen, but we knew this before arriving to the motel and wasn't a problem. I have mentioned this because was a bit awkward situation, different from any other reservations made by us over the past years (probably specific to Finland, was our 1st time in this country). The TV is a bit small but we didn't need it! Also, the wi-fi wasn't great, but if you need it you can go to the reception area!

The area and location is good. The facilities are good and were cleaned after the other people sharing left. It would be nice to have a TV in our room as when the other travellers staying there and the friends they invited round were in the kitchen where the TV was, we had nowhere to sit and watch. Other than that the property is sufficient and I would stay again.

I am a family of 3 (mother and 2 adults) and were put in a shared chalet with about 6 young travellers who invited other friends over and were all inconsiderately cooking in the kitchen, singing and chatting loudly until late in the night. They left the kitchen and bathrooms messy which I had to clean before using. Thankfully they left the following day and we had more considerate travellers check in the next day. I think this should be considered when allocating rooms, maybe not best to put family with children with younger more rowdy people.

The cabin was lovely, with Sauna and fire . Had everything that was needed and great value for money . The remote location was beautiful and peaceful.

There wasn't anything specifically about the place. It was perfect for what we needed, and although we chose it for its more authentic and remote location from the city centre, it was a little further out than we anticipated, and buses infrequent and journeys taking longer than we thought. We should have researched this more thoroughly. Would be absolutely perfect for anyone driving and not relying on public transport.

Motelli Rovaniemi has never failed to charm and fit my requirement. I have stayed here in the past and I was very satisfied. The staff is very helpful, rooms are soundproof, had a decent kitchen, clean bed, bathroom and internet and outdoor space is also nice. My car was parked right outside my room. The ac works brilliantly( have been here both in summer and winter). It is a 10 mins drive to the shopping centers and hardly a 15-20 mins drive to Santa village. It worked best for me as I was close to everything that I needed.

There was a sauna in our little cottage! The kitchen was great, it was a quiet setting, and nice to be outside of the city, but still close enough to get into town in 30 minutes using the bus stop right by the motel. The registration building was a nice community space with food to buy if needed, firewood for your fireplace in your cabin (!!) and they were helpful and kind. We loved having a fire in the fireplace!

The refrigerator rattled when running, the inner walls were not insulated and bedroom doors had holes in them, so we woke each other up a fair bit when we'd get up to use the bathroom at night because we could hear everything. That was the only drawback.

The staff was excellent location was great we saw the northern lights 2 nights while we stayed. The location was 15 minute straight drive to santas village. Fantastic. The sauna was lovely also the log fire. We had a great time

Only one negative the back door did not lock. I check security where ever I go. And found the back door opened from outside. I made a simple diy solution from inside. Then informed staff. They said they would fix. I said they could do it after we left. So was no problem

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in this hotel as it was very quiet, pleasant and a perfect relaxing spot for a much needed vacation. Hotel was not far from the city and was easily accessible by car. Room was big, clean, nice and warm. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Helped us a lot by replying to our endless questions and by telling us a perfect spot to see nothern lights. Bathroom was very clean. Beds are ok. Overall I could say the stay was comfortable and worth the money.

Although Motelli Rovaniemi is far from the most luxurious of accommodation available in the area it offers great value for money. It's location is more suited to people with transport but there is an adequate though not too frequent bus service with bus stops in both directions a few meters from the reception. Staff were helpful and friendly and the room was clean and had all the basics covered. I would say Motelli Rovaniemi is ideal for people on a budget or planning a short stay. We would definitely consider staying again.

The WiFi and TV reception were very patch and seemed to depend on the weather at times. The fact you have to pay for your bed linen is unusual but very reasonably priced especially for what you get. The cooking facilities were very basic, a microwave but no oven. To be honest I'm struggling to find any other real faults. On the whole it was a enjoyable and comfortable stay.

It was a cute cottage with everything we needed. The staff was very clear with the instructions upon check in. We drove, so it wasn't difficult to get to this place and we liked that it was quiet.

We had to pay 10euros for a set of towel and linen, which we think should be priced in. We also had to put the sheets on ourselves, there was also tiny holes in the sheets. Its not a big problem but just a note to future guest. We could barely connect to the wifi considering that our cottage was quite near the reception, so I can't imagine the cottages further away. We also had slight difficulty with the door lock, as it requires abit of force to twist it open, but the "knob" is too small to get a good grip. It could be that we're not used to european door locks.

Simple apartment 7 drive outside of Rovaniemi. The structure we stayed in was a little old, but I guess vintage has it's charm too. Unlike some reviews, it was very clean and had a small functional kitchen. It was nice and warm, and the bed sheets we had to rent for an extra €10 pp were soft and good quality. Bathroom was spacious and comfortable. Location was good with a car

It could use some renovation - maybe just a new sofa bed and some wall decor for a cosier feel
