We were met by a friendly mum and daughter who lives downstairs in the house and showed us to our room upstairs. They offered use of the kitchen to cook although we didn’t need this. The room had everything needed - kettle, fridge, microwave,

Upstairs there are two rooms next door to each other that’s rented out with a shared bathroom. Our initial accommodation for our last night of our holiday (sole use apartment) was cancelled quite last minute so we ended up having to pay a higher amount for this accommodation with a shared bathroom. We felt the price was quite dear for the set up.

This is a very cosy apartment to stay. The hosts are very welcoming, friendly and helpful, simply the best. They also put up a Christmas Tree and lights for our arrival, ( we were surprised) and we felt at home. Close to city centre, supermarket and the bus stop No 8 to visit Santa’s Village. They also offer airport shuttle service which we used. We recommend to arrange it if this is your first visit to Rovaniemi. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here pretty much ☺️ THANK YOU VIRPI & FAMILY

Everything was perfect 👌

Excellent stay in Rovaniemi in this family ran villa. Virpi and her family were very welcoming and lovely and also went out of their way to help our stay be perfect. Unfortunately, my mum hurt herself so our plans changed a bit but they got the room ready in advance so we could check in way earlier than their usual check in time, and arranged to pick us up as well as driving us to a few spots so we didn't have to deal with cabs as well!

The location and the place in general. The villa is within walking distance from town center , straight line you cam walk in less than 20 min. Also 2 supermarkets within 500 m or so plus the ones in town. Location also in the middle of a quiet neighbourhood, idilic natural scenary. The host mr and mrs were so nice and checking with us if we needed anything. The villa was very clean, warm despite de cold weather, cosy and confortable

The Villa was so cosy,clean and well equip of facilities including kitchen. Our host,Mrs Virpi and family were very helpful ,friendly and kind. She provide us transport service during our stay. Neighbourhood of the area were so cosy,nature and good atmosphere. Keep up the good service.

Room was nice and toasty, bed was comfy, it was in a nice place, just 20min walk from the town centre.

I was a little surprised that it was a shared bathroom, but it made sense. It's not a hotel. It's a house/BnB. Everything was nice and clean though. 0 problems.

We were very welcomed by the owner. We were chatting in the living room after check-in and he also offered us a sausage as a small snack made on the fireplace :-) Our room was in the first floor, was big enough with a small kitchen corner and a fridge. We were sharing a bathroom with other roommates which could be cleaner in our opinion.

Me and my friend had an amazing time at villa Virpi. The room was cozy and comfortable with shared bathroom. The host is amazing. She picked up us from the airport and booked some of the tours for us. We had an amazing time in Lapland.

Our stay at Villa Virpi definitely exceeded our expectations. We were offered an upgrade to stay at private villa. I fully recomend it to ask the host for private villa-it might cost a little extra, but it is all worth it! There is floor heating in every single room and we loved it. The kitchen is fully equipted: hubs, oven, microwave, ground coffe maker, kettle, toaster, plates, glasses, mugs and cutlery. There are also some leftovers of honey, coffe, tea, cereals, rice and others groceries in the kitchen cabinet, if you need something. Bathroom: shower, but no bath; Be ready to buy a toilet paper, or ask your host for some. It is also a great location, still reasonable close to take a walk to the city centre. The driveway to the villa is large enough to park multiple cars. The host offers pick up from the airport, but we had rental car from the airport, which has been the easiest rental we experienced so far (FinnRent). If you arriving too late in the night and need to buy some food/hygiene products, there is 24/7shop in the city centre called Sale Lapinmaa.

Only one bedside table next to the bed I would like to have some cleaning products in the bathroom to clean the toilet or floor, when neeeded during the stay.

The host was very nice, very warm welcome in the middle of the night & nice to talk with. The house is within easy reach of the airport and activities by car. The house is traditional and rooms are a bit old, but that didn’t bother us at all. The path around the corner of the house is perfect for a sleighride for the kids btw.
