The apartment was well equipped, warm and clean. The building was nice and quiet. The kitchen had all the utensils you would need if you wanted to cook yourself and the bathroom was clean and the added sauna was nice.

The location shown as part of the listing doesn't show the location of the apartments. You could be in a number of locations. Ideally people want to know where they are staying, granted it's not a large city so everything is very walkable. But I'd have liked to know the exact location as I probably wouldn't have booked this apartment though it was very nice as the walk was just that bit too far for my two young children. For couples or older children the location is fine.

The apartment is small but comfy and clean, and very good value for money (we traveled in the summer). The location is central with cafes and restaurants nearby. The sauna worked well, it felt nice after a long day. Minimal cooking utensils in the kitchen are suitable for making uncomplicated food - eggs for breakfast or pasta for dinner. Despite staying there in summer, there weren’t any mosquitoes in the apartment even with windows open in the evening.

Some of the kitchen equipment are dated - the kettle for example gave a weird taste to the water after boiling. It is not a major negative though. The apartment was quite warm in the summer.

The instruction to access the apartment is very clear and easy. The apartment is very clean and has many self-contained amenities (towels, utensils, cooking amenities, washing machine etc). We like that the apartment has bidet in the toilet. Other residents on the property were friendly and did not seem to mind non-familiar people coming and going (as long as property security SOP were observed). The apartment is a very short walk to the city centre area where restaurants and shopping are available. All in all a very comfortable stay for us.

The garbage disposal "station" is outside of the building and we didn't have the door code at first (not available in the information sheet in the apartment). But we had help from someone who we presume is a resident there, who helped us open the door, before we had to contact our host.

The apartment had everything we needed, and the facilities were perfectly optimized. It was a very cozy flat with an incredible sauna, and the heating throughout was exceptional. Absolutely loved it!

The problem with booking Kotimaailma was that the location initially appeared to be very close to the area we wanted, but on the day of arrival, they assigned us to a different location, which was a 12-minute walk farther. I wasn't very pleased with this.

when I made the reservation for the apartment, I did not know that those who offer these apartments for rent have locations available throughout the city. the criteria chosen for the rental were to be close to the center. we have got an apartment near the train station. the access key rises from the city center, where they have a bussines, and no one informs you that your location can be almost 1.5 km from the center.

The property was lovely and warm, new, fresh and spotlessly clean. Plenty of space for us two adults and child. Within walking distance to everything including public transport. Had all the essentials to cook and even a washing machine and close horse to dry them (this was a big help with having a young child). The check in/out was very easy and not confusing. Hosts were very responsive. We enjoyed our stay and would say it is great value for money.

The apartment was just the right size for me. A nice bathroom with a comfy shower, small kitchenette, combined dining room and living room with the cosiest sofa, and a small but not cramped bedroom. It was perfect for one person. If I go to Rovaniemi again, I am definitely booking an apartment from Kotimaailma Apartments again.

I couldn't find a single place to dry my clothes!

The key box is about 10 to 16 minutes walking from the property. It is very inconvenient for a pregnant woman with lots of luggage. Plus the instruction to find the apartment are not clear enough. It took me about 15 minutes to figure out the way and find the apartment. Host is very rude as well, he definitely needs to improve customer service

Location was perfect for shops, food places, transport and even a playground next to the apartment block. Kitchen facilities meant we could eat at the apartment. Beds were comfortable. Very suitable for a family of 4.

A smart TV in both rooms would have been awesome.
