We chose this accommodation after we had searched for suitable family accommodation with a good location to visit Santa Village. We knew from our research that the main Santasport Accommodation was an Olympic training ground and also a community facility so we were aware before travelling that there would be athletes and local people around. We chose this accommodation based on the facilities that are offered for children and because of the reviews for cleanliness and comfort left by other reviewers. On the first night we stayed at the on-site apartments which are just perfect, very quiet after a long day travelling, every item you could need was there and the beds were so comfortable. On our second, third and fourth nights we moved over to the main hotel to be closer to the amenities for the children. We were a party of seven; two grandparents, two mammies and three grandchildren aged 10,4 and 4. In the main hotel we had mostly the same items in our room except for the sauna however there was a sauna available. The beds once again were very comfortable the rooms are designed very well with a bedroom room inside a bedroom room which the children loved. There was a lovely warm swimming pool, a fabulous play centre, a bowling facility, sleds to go sledding and the opportunity to try out practice for cross country skiing. We were twenty minutes from the airport and ten or 15 minutes from Santas Village. Taxis were super fast to arrive reception phoned for us and the prices were consistent. There is a cafe with hot chocolate and rolls etc and beer for the adults. Breakfast was great lots on offer and the entire accommodation was superbly clean. The rooms were cleaned every day, the cleanliness was fantastic. Staff at the Santasport were so so friendly and helpful. We had requested if we could have an earlier access time to one of the rooms and the staff facilitated this. If you are researching family accommodation like we were then I would definitely choose Santasport.

Nice, modern apartment with plenty of space. Had everything we needed. Bed linen and towels were provided. Liked the sauna in the room and the large balcony. There seemed to be lots of activities at the hotel too. We used the pool and the restaurant. The kids play area looked excellent, but we didn't get time to try it. Wish we'd had longer to explore the surrounding area and the equipment hire.

The rules about showering without swimming costumes at the pool. Fine for people to do this if they want, but why can't people wear their swimming costume if they prefer? My pre teen, autistic daughter found this embarrassing and upsetting.

Having a full apartment during our stay in Rovaniemi was absolutely wonderful. Space to relax and cook! The sauna in the apartment was a great addition to. The apartment was in a wonderful location, just far enough out of town but still only a ten min drive to get to the city and other attractions in Rovaniemi. Loved being able to go across the road to sled, and we also spotted the northern lights from the observation tower which was a short walk up into the forest. Wonderful spot to explore all Lapland has to offer.

Would have been lovely to have the basics like tea and coffee in the apartment.

The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a fantastic selection of food and everything was delicious. I have a very fussy teenager that is also vegetarian and even she found lots of different options each day to try. We also made use of the winter sports hire at Santasport and had a fantastic time sledding on the sledding hill opposite the apartment that had been recommended to us by the lovely ladies at the equipment hire spot.

We booked the dinner buffet once but I think it was more tailored to local tastes due to the people that eat there after competing in sporting events. We struggled with vegetarian options but we should have checked this before booking. All of the meat eaters enjoyed the local cuisine options they tried and thank you to the server for translating for us as the food wasn’t labelled in English like at breakfast.

Modern apartment, very well equipped. 2 bathrooms. One with sauna and toilet/shower. Pools, playcentre, bowling for kids. Football field across the road for sledging is great and also close to amazing forest walks/ lookout tower. Breakfast was great for us. Everything we normally eat at home, cereals, different breads, fruit, hot food, cakes, cheese/meats / some salads, juice, coffee

Food in restaurants in the evening Very poor quality. Grand if you want to live on chicken nuggets and chips for your trip. Very canteen like. Would not recommend and two prices.

The facilities, staff and accommodation was excellent. I will recommend this accommodation to others looking for a base to see Lapland. only 10 mins by car to Santa's Village and Airport. We stopped in an apartment that can sleep upto 5 people. (3 in bedrooms and 2 on a sofa bed). The kitchenette including oven and hob was great for cooking. The sauna was fantastic after a long day of sightseeing. The facilities include a breakfast buffet, 10 pin bowling (€20 per hour), Free access to swimming pools, jacuzzi and gym. The kids had plenty of grass to play in the snow that was a hit. P.S enclosed balcony allows a view with cover.

In my opinion a car is needed.

We loved everything . Very clean and spacious apartment. Smart tv was brillant at night . I was able to mirror my phone to smart tv for netflix, etc, as the channels were all foreign languages . Breakfast was perfect. Supermarket was less than 5 minute walk . The apartment was well equipped for cooking and a great size fridge. Sauna was lovely. The hotel swimming pool was brilliant for our kids who were 5 and 3 . The indoor playground was also a great hit with them.

Not one bad word to say. It was a perfect holiday and we are glad we booked this hotel for our stay

Nice, good-sized apartment, clean and comfortable beds. Free parking. Close to all amenities. 10-12mins drive to Santa Claus Village. Swimming is included in the price, but we didn't end up using it. Bowling in the main building. Paid €25 for the hour. There is a forest behind the hotel. We followed the winter walking trail. Did about 4 miles. Stunning snowy scenery. Breathtaking. Plastic sledges left around the grounds which you could use and when we were finished with them we just left them for the next person. Laundry room in the basement of the apartment block, which was free to use, including dryers. You just need your own washing powder. Helpful staff at reception.

Nothing much. The only thing was that there wasn't a sieve so we had to buy one which we took home with us. I knew there was no tea towel having read the reviews before we came, so I brought my own from home.

Very clean and comfortable apartment. Perfect for our needs. Great value for money will stay again. Good location close to Santa Claus village. Food in the restaurant was good and reasonable. The staff in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly too. We hired a car rather than rely on buses and taxis so very easy to get around. Very nice pool with slide for the children.

The only negative was that the soft play area was closed for private kids parties on 2 out of the 3 evenings we stayed. Understandable but it would be good if the opening and closing hours were displayed more prominently and clearly and we were warned this could happen beforehand on the hotel information page. This really disappointed our 7 year old granddaughter as the soft play area looked amazing.

Great space , loved the laundry room and equipment

the matrasses were very uncomfortable in Apot 915, this kind of single beds and children matrasses can't be tolerated, clients can't fetmout of the place with back problems, 2 loos but only 1 wash lavabo, there is enough space to install one in this vast shower room no side table on the right side in main bedroom, this is a NO Go Impossible to watch any TV there, only finnish, swedish, 1 english maybe....At least give the clients the possiblitly to watch their Netflix, Youtube with their subscription, no access to HDMI if you have your Amazon Fire Stick but we saw that the tV had HDMI\ When you have outdoors activities whole day long so you want to relax indoors in the evening
