The hotel is in excellent location, all the major tourist attractions are nearby and if you want to do some daytrips to Banff and Lake Louise, the bus stops in downtown are close enough. There's a restaurant called Native Tongues Taqueria right downstairs of the hotel - some of the best food we've ever eaten. It was really convenient after walking 24km all around downtown and being exhausted after the day. The hotel staff was amazing throughout our whole stay, the room was very clean when we arrived and the bed was also very comfortable. Could't have asked for a better view out of the window, as we saw Calgary tower and its beautiful lightshow in the evenings. The ac was working well and the room was nice and chilled. You could choose your own temperature from the thermostat. Hotel breakfast was good. Coffee (and tea) was available throughout the whole day which, for a big coffee drinker, was an added bonus. At no additional cost. From YYC Calgary international airport the taxi trip to this location took no more than 30 minutes and cost around 50 CAD.

Unfortunately we did see a lot of homeless people around the hotel and nearby Memorial park. We learned from local people that this is an issue in Calgary at the moment. So not only nearby this location. The homeless people did not bother us at all though and did not cause any trouble for us. Wish we could have helped them out a bit more. Hotel breakfast was good. After a longer stay maybe a few more options would have been nice.

The hotel is about 10 minutes away from Sky360, and the breakfast buffet is included in my booking. The hotel staff is very friendly. I truly enjoyed my stay at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Calgary Downtown.

I stayed at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Calgary Downtown during winter, and Calgary started to warm up on the date of my arrival. As a result, the floor on Level 1 was a bit wet and needed cleaning up, but that's understandable. It's not a big issue for me. The hotel staff placed a signage to warn guests of the wet floor.

The breakfast was really great. It has a nice variety and nost importantly it is CLEAN. The rooms were also clean and tidy and housekeeping was coming every 2 days which seems perfect for me.

One elevator was down so the whole hotel was depending on the other elevator. During the 4 days that i stayed, no work was getting done to fix the other elevator, so the waiting time for the one that was working was pretty long.

It’s in Downtown Calgary, Lots of restaurants around the beltline area. Our room has a view of the Calgary Tower so that is a plus! And they allow guests to leave their luggages after checkout for a few hours of safekeeping.

Breakfast is included but not much choices. There were just waffles, bread, eggs and banana. That’s it!

Great rooms, clean, plenty of room, great condition.

The lifts! 2 lifts and 1 was out of service. This meant getting the lift was always a very long wait. We were on 7th floor and did the stairs a lot but for those who may struggle with this, this would be a real problem. I understand the lift company are struggling to source the part but this needs resolved asap. Otherwise, 10 out of 10.

Very clean and comfortable. Flavoured water and popcorn available for free. Easy check in and friendly staff.

The elevator was incredibly slow and small, only one was working. No parking on site. There was only an option for valet parking which was rather expensive and also very slow, or find street parking which had many limits. Only one person working valet and because parking was off site it took a long time.

Good, fairly central location within relatively easy walking distance of Downtown, Bow River and Inglewood areas. Our room at the front of building provided an excellent view of city centre buildings, including the Calgary Tower. Did not make use of facilities so cannot offer comment.

Can only identify minor negatives such as the slight inconvenience of the reception for check in/out being above the ground floor requiring exit from the elevator with luggage. Also, possiblly for UK guests in particular, a kettle in the room might be useful.

Staff were very friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Excellent choice for breakfast. Good location to walk and sightsee in city.

As foreigners we are not using credit cards here in canada due to charges. We therefore used a debit card. We thought that during our checkin our card was just being swiped. We were surprised when a deposit charge had been taken. We are waiting for it to be refunded and feeling nervous about this.

Conveniently located in downtown calgary near a bunch of cute restaurants and things to do, which made it easy to explore. The hotel was able to accommodate a oversized vehicle in their lot.

One of the elder staff members was very rude on arrival and contradicted other teammates while we checked in. There was another staff member (Janette) that luckily stepped in to assist as she saw us getting frustrated. Janette made it a point to check in on us afterwards to make sure we were taken care of.

The staff were very helpful and friendly

The way the bed was made with a duvet but not a proper duvet cover. After moving around a bit the duvet itself became uncovered, in contact with my body and I found this a bit gross. This doesn’t seem to be an issue with normal blankets. I can understand that a complete, „normal“ duvet cover requires more effort/time/costs, but I personally think that it’s much nicer. Most European hotels use complete duvet covers.
