The staff were warm and welcoming and the hotel was very clean and smelled clean too. It isn’t a fancy place, a pretty classic hotel comparable to a Holiday Inn Express but we were pleased with how clean our room was and how well it is maintained. We were just passing through Sault Ste. Marie and it provided us a perfectly fine night’s sleep. It was walking distance to a few restaurants and fast food chains.

We didn’t use the pool but for those visiting with kids, the pool is just a basic rectangle - no slides or anything extra.

The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk lady was very nice and welcoming when checking in. I also like the fact that there were many restaurants and places to go near the hotel. The lightings in the room were bright. I love the fact that they were able to provide portable crib. Breakfast was delicious, and the people serving breakfast were helpful and kind. I will definitely use this hotel every time I stop by Sault Ste Marie.

One thing I didn’t like was that they gave us a different room than what I had booked online. But it was not big deal, and I didn’t think I needed to bring it up to the staff.

Friendly front staff, great room (large bed with sofa), awesome shower pressure, loved the divider between bed & sofa/front door as it gave some extra privacy, good selection at breakfast, delicious coffee at breakfast.

Pool was a tad small for length swimming and getting out long drive aches. Had one decaf and one caffeine coffee pouch in room. We did not call down for a second caffeine pouch as we were going for breakfast anyway and coffee was delicious at breakfast. Room lighting took a while to figure out.

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the young lady at the front desk who was so incredibly helpful with our booking, with our checkin and situating our room close to the laundry facilities! I did leave some clothing behind!😝 However, all the staff were again stellar in ensuring we could find a way to ship the clothing to me in BC the cheapest way possible! Thank you to the individual that delivered my prepaid box direct to the post office! You went above and beyond for me and I am so grateful! Thank you!

Great location right off the highway before you get into the city, clean, the rooms are quite spacious, smaller hotel; only 3 floors. Wide range for breakfast in the morning. We used the main area to eat our takeout dinner and they provided us with utensils that the restaurant had forgotten to give us.

Only queen beds which seems like a waste when the rooms are huge, the juice at breakfast is way too watered down and does not taste like juice. The pillows were very flat.

Very helpful friendly staff.The reception person was exceptional. The room was adequate for our needs . Good air-conditioning ! The breakfast server was very polite and accommodating

Although the beds were comfortable the mattress covers were very old and slipped off with every turn ! It was frustrating to lift the mattresses ourselves to slip the straps back over. It must be hard for staff to even make the beds !

Staff are excellent especially the gentleman at the front desk when we checked in. Once he checked us in, we came down about a half hour later to go for a walk and he called me by my name (without looking it up)! Very pleasant and a great personality. I hope that you treat the staff well (pay) as the front desk staff and the lady that took care of the breakfast area were all so pleasant. Excellent

Nothing to complain about

Rooms are a good size. Breakfast is very good. Friendly staff. Convenient location.

Bathrooms desperately need towel bars and/or wall hooks. There is no where to hang your towel after use or any clothes. If the hotel is trying to go green and want you to use your towel for multiple days, then you need to be able to hang them up.

Bed was comfortable. Room was clean, and fairly quiet.

I wish breakfast was extended to a later time. Maybe 11 AM for people who are not early risers. Also, what's with the terrible selection and low number of channels available on the TV?

I booked this property as I had stayed in a previous location - others in my group wanted to stay elsewhere, but I insisted… and they now understand why. Microtel Inn & Suites is a new(er) brand that may not have name recognition but is stellar. Rooms clean, quiet and accessible to accommodate different needs 👏👏👏 Hotel is clean Free parking that is well lit Excellent breakfast with many options, including grab and go 24 hr coffee / tea Sturdy luggage carts that can hold 3 large suitcases
