The design, quality and cleanliness of the place was amazing. Cleaners clean the rooms everyday, including the unused lockers, steps for the beds and all horizontal surfaces. They also routinely clean the shower rooms and toilets multiple times a day. This was the Best and most surprising element of my stay at this place the place was spotless every day! the toilets were clean every day the showers were also clean. I never went to use the shared facilities, And felt Squeamish and I’m quite picky. Even when you walk past the outside entrance and walk inside the smell of air in the place is fantastic. It’s more like a hotel than a hostel. This Place is also superb value for money and I will definitely be staying here again next time I come to Barcelona. It’s conveniently located in Universitat, Eixample And is well-connected to the bus and Metro lines. Couldn’t fault it! I had an amazing stay (9 days in total). Lockers were also a very handy and useful service for those awkward flight times and checkouts. The fingerprint main entrance and room entry is genius! Really liked that I didn’t have to remember keys, pins or cards! Rooms are all fully air conditioned (and it works very well!) thermostats and controls are also operable from the room as well!

Only one washing machine and tumble dryer and one rack to dry clothes (although I didn’t use during my stay). The vibe of the place was great but most people in the dorms were not all that talkative (I stayed in 2 different rooms over the 9 days). Generally I thought they could have put on more social events but perhaps Barcelona is not the most ideal place for backpackers compared to somewhere like Thailand.

The staff was amazing. Very helpful and very friendly. Unfortunately all of my stuff got stolen when I was at the beach and the TOC staff really went out of their way to help me in the nicest and most uncomplicated way. This meant so much to me in this difficult situation. Also, this place is really exceptional for a hostel. Everything was kept very clean and tidy. The room (I was in an 8 bed mixed dorm) was spacious and had big windows to the very quiet atrium which created a really nice atmosphere. During the night the dorm was very dimly lit through these windows, just enough to not bump into anything on the way to the bed, so there was no need to turn on the lights and disturb others. The beds are semi-closed cubes and quite spacious so they are a really good trade-off between privacy and not feeling caged. The mattress and pillow were comfortable. One of the best features of the room was its architecture. The entrance area of the room simultaneously served as a large en-suite bathroom with large mirrors and sinks from which one could enter two separate shower cabins and a toilet cabin. The actual dorm was behind the entrance area with a separate door. This setup was nice because the bathroom area was much more private than the typical shared hostel bathrooms but the actual dorm was still very quiet because of the separation. So people could use the bathroom in the middle of the night or do stuff that requires more light without disturbing anyone. The lobby was beautifully furnished with lots of comfy corners and sofas, working spaces, a pool table and a bar. The kitchen was well equipped. I didn't try the pool or the breakfast, but heard from other guests that it was good. Speedy wifi was also great. Overall I was really positively surprised by this place, it was lots of little thoughtful details that made it feel very nice, but again, it was the super friendly staff that made the place really stand out to me. Would absolutely recommend.

The only detail I noticed that could be improved was that some hooks in the shower cabins would be nice. I just threw my stuff over the door, which also worked, but hooks would be nicer.

The location is the best part about this property and value for money! I would stay here again. It is always a gamble when you stay with 7 other women in a room, but everyone was really nice and TOC did a great job of cleaning every day I was there to minimize the mess. It is 10 minutes walking from the best area to shop and the apple shop, six minutes walking from taco bell and two minutes from the metro station. Bars and clubs were pretty close too, I would just walk back at the end of the night. This was my first time at a hostel and I'm so glad I tried it.

Staff could have been a little more informative about the procedure for safes in the room etc.

Everything about this place was great. The location is perfect if you're visiting Barcelona for a few days. The room was large enough for 3 of us, it had A/C and large windows to cool the room down nicely at night and let in plenty of light during the day. The common areas were spacious and welcoming. I appreciated that you could use a keycard or your fingerprint to open the doors. The building and surrounding area felt safe and secure.

Only a few minor inconveniences. Our room did not have a fridge so we couldn't keep any food or drinks cold. The shower was very small and the door opened inward which made it difficult to get in and out.

Beautiful purpose built accommodation, great security and staff were excellent.. Bar and terrace with pool was great. People were very respectful in the most part. Beds comfortable, great lockers with hanging space available. Nice to have the couch area to sort your things out also. Rooms are spacious.

Kitchen facilities weren’t amazing, the fridge was jammed packed but given the time of year it’s expected. Cutlery is nearly non-existent, for the price per night why not have disposable (timber type) available. Showers not the cleanest or private, could be my timing. Would be good to have a separate male and female unit, didn’t feel comfortable dressing in the shower common area also no hand drier or towels in bathrooms which is strange these days. Adding a curtain for privacy is definitely needed, many people are coming and going at all hours of the night.

My room overlooked the pool which was nice even though I didn’t use it. It was bright and spacious with 12 beds inside. Was a clean hostel and modern. The bar area is a good social hangout to work and meet people. I made friends with a few people and we made a group to go to a nice dinner with. Wi-Fi was strong!

The bar man was rude and didn’t seem to want to work. I think the bar would benefit from serving alcohol until 1am but they close during the day and at 9pm! It’s Spain?! The receptionists ( both ) were a bit slow attending to emergencies as they were too busy having in depth convos with each traveller. You have to pay 2 euros for each towel you use and you can’t swap the one you paid for, for a new one. You must pay each time!

Me gI liked everything! The staff at reception were very helpful and frendly. The facilities are in good condition and everything is very clean. The hostel is well designed and has a well-organized system, so even if you're sharing a room, you still enjoy privacy. The location is great, just a few meters from the subway. I arrived on my birthday and received a gift from the hostel, which was just the icing on the cake for my experience. I've booked with the TOC hostel again, now in Granada, and I have high expectations.

The only thing that disappointed me a little was that the pool was out of service.

The property was in a great location close to the metro and bus stops walking distance to La Rumbla and Markets. The rooms were great 6 share female allowed for great storage space and the showers and toilets are inside the room which is great. Each person had their own bathroom container to put toiletries. Only problems is the shower needs to be cleaned more often the bathroom space. Kitchen and rentable lockers were great areas downstairs for pre check in. I also loved not having a key and using my finger print to unlock my room made life so much easier.

The stay has an elevated energy, def. gives hotel instead of hostel. The amenities speak for themselves! Breakfast was a spread of meats, cheeses, juices, breads, pancakes… etc. Easy connectivity for wifi if doing remote work. Fun to meet other travellers!

The room got warm at night. The mattresses were just okay and there wasn’t much privacy. Ex) a curtain. The storage area can be high up to lift a suitcase. No towel dryers in the bathroom and the light would go off in the showers because it couldn’t detect movement in the shower stalls, only the room at large. Pitch black. Just poke an arm out and wave for them to come back on lol.

I liked the area; is very close to the city centre and well connected by metro to most stations and places within Barcelona. The room were clean and tidy, and loved the common areas.

The system was down when I made my check-in, so there was a mixup in beds. Nevertheless, I think it was well-handled and couldn't care less. Now, as a recommendation, a space so small for a bathroom within the bedroom, isn't very acommodating for a shower; water can spill everywhere and make the other people uncomfortable. Would love to have a bigger shower room.
