The hotel itself is impossibly chic, with a beautiful bar in the lobby and staff who were all way cooler than me. The rooms are spacious (for NYC) and have excellent decor and furnishings. Beds are huge and super comfortable. Overall a great stay and I would highly recommend. The only brief warning I would give is that the location is not great for a first visit to NYC. We stayed because our friends, with whom we were spending New Year's Eve, live on the same street, so it made perfect sense. There is lots to explore in Downtown Brooklyn, Boerum Hill etc., but it's a fair distance to the true tourist sights in New York.

There aren't many facilities in the hotel. There is a very small gym, that is well-appointed and decorated, but no pool, sauna/steam room etc. There is also no terrace from which to enjoy views of NYC. None of these are problems, but they would have made the stay a 10.

From check in to check out the stay at Ace was great. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful with requests. Room was comfortable with a bigger bathroom than expected. Used the small gym which has the basics but enough for a good workout. There are water filling stations in the hotel, not sure if they are on all floors and used the one on floor 5. Conveniently located within walking distance to Barclays Center for event. Great location with shopping, restaurants, and subway located almost directly across from hotel. Breakfast options were available and quite delicious. Would certainly stay again when next in Brooklyn.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn. The staff was incredible—so welcoming and went above and beyond our expectations. Our room was beautiful with a stunning view, and the location couldn't have been better. Just steps from subway lines into the city, and surrounded by amazing shops, restaurants, and bars. Brooklyn itself is such a vibrant, walkable area, and the hotel fits right in. From now on, the Ace Hotel Brooklyn will be my go-to whenever I’m in town.

This is a fabulous property - industrial chic design that is also warm and comfortable (not always the case). The bar/lobby space is well appointed and warmly lit; the space was active/social but not loud. It is separate from check in so you not in the middle of that traffic. You are really in a nice space. Quiet rooms and floors, great walk-in shower, lots of hooks in bathroom and room. Nice for all the winter clothing. We stayed five nights over Thanksgiving weekend. Good restaurants nearby; easy subway access. Quick trip to Manhattan via subway. Staff are great. We had three breakfasts in the restaurant - all good.

The food was good. In particular, I loved the crispy chicken salad. Room service was over priced and you had very limited options. I like that there were a lot of places to sit in the lobby area but it really is a work and hang out spot so the majority of people were not hotel guests. So it was really crowded.

How crowded it was all day. The hallways were really dark. I don't know if this was for sexy purposes but I like to see where I am stepping. My fridge didn't work. Half the reason i pick certain hotels is because of having a fridge to put my leftovers and drinks so that was really dumb. Why would you want to have a hot coke from the mini fridge.

*incredible* room, beautiful hotel!! Picked it because it was walking distance from Barclays, so no need to uber to and from the concert. hotel staff was super friendly, easy check-in and check-out. I’ll definitely be back the next time I have an event at Barclays.

It would have been helpful to have better photos/descriptions to differentiate between the room types—i stayed in a double room, but only after cancelling an earlier booking I had made for a medium room. And the medium i had booked originally was more expensive than the double, so glad I made the change!

Check-in staff - Can’t quite remember the guy who assisted me but he was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to help me get sorted. Great start to my trip. Location - Great for getting around Brooklyn but also catching the subway to Manhattan and beyond. Vibe - Fantastic fit-out that was high quality. After staying in one Ace will be sure to look out for the other locations when traveling.

Would say cleanliness of the bathroom was 8/10. Less about the housekeeping staff and more some tired/wear and tear around the shower base.

Goog looking, large and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Good location, close to the subway.

Like everything in New York, it’s a bit overpriced. No free water. Ridiculous mini bar prices. Even though it’s a great location, the neighbourhood around the subway, could get a little rough at night. Lots of homeless people begging as soon as you would get out if the hotel by day. Native New Yorkers seemed immune to this but I felt really sorry for them and had trouble not giving them something. This has gotten way worse since my last visit, a couple of years ago.

Location and the room were very good. Housekeeping staff were amazing. Timely - Room perfectly turned around daily.

The front desk staff could benefit from some training on smiling and actually delivering service. Very dry staff members verging on rudeness. There needs to be some niceness to guests. The small area to the side that offers morning coffee - if you say you’re open at 7am then be ready for 7am. Telling a guest that we are not ready in a hospitality world is unacceptable.

The architecture, decor, location, neighborhood are all wonderful.

The wait/bar staff in the restaurant/cafe was quite rude. Perhaps a one off but the bartender, who was waiting tables, basically refused to acknowledge or speak to me (the head of my group) and didn’t take my order, when he went around the table w the rest of my family. It went on like this throughout our experience. He may have been acting this was as our family group shifted from 2 to 5 when others in our family came to join us. We were staying at the hotel and I let the server know but he seemed put out by it. Very odd behavior to hotel guests…
