Booked last-minute. Super spacious and nicely-decorated room with all the amenities we needed. The best-equipped kitchen we’d experienced on our month-long trip to Japan. We had both a tatami mat area with a low table as well as a standard dining table. We wanted to be close to Kappabashi Street, which was great. But, what was even more great was how quiet our room was. Also the streets around the hotel seemed more like a Tokyo from some time ago, an older Tokyo, and we really liked the vibe. The room was very clean and we loved all the outlets where we could charge our devices. The staff was very nice. We were only there for one night. In the morning we realized we had a view of the Tokyo Sky Tree from our window.

The only thing is there isn’t a great place to store your clothing and things. When you open the door there is a little space where you take your shoes off with a small set of drawers and a small bar where you can hang a few clothes. But, it is a little awkward and small. considering the space available, it seems this could be improved. But, it’s a minor gripe considering everything else.

The room was great - big enough and had everything we needed. We managed to arrange all of our luggage (6 pieces!) and our clothes, including stuff for the baby in the room. Having a well equipped kitchen and a washer / dryer in the room is a major plus when traveling with a baby. The shower, bathtub and the toilet were top notch. I actually really liked the shampoo and conditioner. Make sure you check what extra things you can get at the front desk. We got a crib (BabyBjorn), highchair (excellent), steam iron, outlet adapter, baby soap. A detergent has been provided as well. I mention all these little things because they became more obvious when we later stayed at a different popular family hotel chain for the last leg of our trip. Also the staff was extremely helpful! Luggage forwarding was fully arranged by them and they made sure we didn’t have to pay extra at the receiving hotel. Also they helped us find a seamstress for suit adjustment which was quite tricky considering the deadline.

The hotel was conveniently located - close to Asakusa, Senso-ji temple and Ueno park. I just wish it was closer to metro stations. Walking for 15 minutes with a stroller and luggage in a 32 degree heat is not something I fancy. And it’s even more walking if you want to get on a direct line to Haneda Airport.

We had a fantastic stay at KOKO HOTEL Residence Asakusa Kappabashi. The room felt more like a small apartment than a standard hotel, perfect for our family of three. It included a washer/dryer, induction plates, microwave, toaster oven, and kitchenware, plus separate toilet and bath/laundry room. Much more spacious and comfortable than other hotels in the same price range. The location was excellent, close to all the attractions, shopping, and restaurants in Asakusa. Sensoji Temple is just a few minutes away, and we walked to Tokyo Skytree in just 25 minutes. The area felt very safe and was extremely walkable, with Kappabashi Kitchen Town right around the corner. Ueno is also a 15 minute walk away, or a short cab ride. While the hotel doesn't serve breakfast, there’s a vending machine, free coffee and tea in the lobby, and plenty of nearby konbinis and supermarkets. Plus, there are lots of great breakfast spots within walking distance if you prefer to eat out. The staff were friendly and very service-minded. Highly recommended!

Great location. Friendly staffs. We were able to store our luggages at the front desk since we arrived earlier than check in time. Our luggages were waiting for us when we came back from exploring the area. They even upgraded our stay to a larger space for 4 of us! Highly recommend this hotel!

Coffee and amenities downstairs were great, but the location is just fantastic: right in the heart of Asakusa and amazingly quiet. Our room was quite large, enough to have a space to have dinner, watch TV, and spend quality time with a family of four. We could have cooked there as there was just enough utensils for this, but we really preferred enjoying the restaurants in the city (take out or dine in, and dining in was really made easy). We felt safe, two TVs, gigantic bathroom (to some extent it was almost too much, but no one complains about very large bathrooms and bath tubs), zero complaints. Easy to walk to Asakusa, its train stations, Iriya, etc. Really in the heart of Asakusa. 7-Elevens and Family Marts everywhere. Also, the staff was kind and really helpful.

It's not a cheap hotel, but it doesn't disappoint. I wish I could find something I didn't like but it was just an excellent hotel, and it does put the bar quite high.

Appreciated the complimentary upgrade to a bigger room for our anniversary. The rooms were nice and spacious.

Not exactly close to the train station but doable. Would have liked daily housekeeping or at least have it as an option for those who preferred to have their rooms cleaned daily. The lobby was small so felt tight when multiple customers were there. The complimentary toiletries and coffee packets in the lobby were appreciated but it felt very awkward when employees are watching you when you’re grabbing the items.

Location was great--close to food, sights & shopping. Train was not too far of a walk (10-15 mins, depending on which line). The Superior Family Room w/ Tatami was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen & 1 tween) with room to breathe. We had 2 beds & 2 futons. There was also a fold-out bed at the table that we opted not to use. Laundry, fridge/freezer & other kitchen appliances were convenient to have in the room. There was a code to use for both the elevator & the room. We skipped the elevator & just took the stairs. Area was fairly quiet and safe. We did a lot of walking during the trip, so we were able to make it to both Tokyo Skytree and Akihabara/Ueno by foot. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back!

The laundry dryer option was a little tricky, but we just hung dry, which is the norm in Japan. No ice machine, but there was an ice tray in the freezer/fridge.

Everything from check in to check out was amazing! Location was great, close to both convenience stores and a supermarket! Just a few minute walk from the main tourist area of Asakusa but still in a less crowded corner. We got the Japanese family room and it was perfect for four people! We loved our room and had a great view of Tokyo sky tree from our windows. The room looked exactly like in the pictures and was super fresh!

The closest station to the hotel is either Asakusa on Asakusa line and Tawaramachi for the Ginza line and it's a bit of a tedious walk if you have a lot of heavy luggage on potentially crowded streets, but if you have the money getting a cab is really easy from and to the airport!

Lovely apartment, good space for four people and luggage. Very clean and cleaned again after 3 days, if staying longer, as well as free rental of anything from hair curlers to baby buggies. Really friendly staff with a good level of English. Good, central location within Asakusa, easy walking distance to Senso-ji temple and 100s of shops, and arcades of restaurants. Easy access to 2-3 train lines and stations in addition to being on a side street and so not noisy, as well as easy for taxis to stop outside. When I return to Tokyo, I will be staying here again.

I stayed at this location with my family, which includes a 3yo. We loved the room facility with the tatami mat area which was especially helpful for providing room for my 3yo to play and decompress in the mornings while we prepared to leave and in the evenings after being out exploring Tokyo all day. The location is very convenient within 8-10mins walking distance to the shops of Asakusa and Sensoji Temple and public transport (subway) to connect you to other parts of Tokyo. The neighbourhood and street it was located on was also very quiet, so the walk back to the accommodation was very relaxing. The bathroom area was also very cosy and the kitchenette in the room was also very helpful for preparing snacks for my 3yo. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever back in Tokyo!

Not much to fault. I guess in the pictures of the accommodation you can see views of skytree from your window, but we were on floor 3 and we had a building blocking our view. So if you are hoping for views of Skytree from your roomperhaps ask reception staff to give you a room on higher floor.
