We loved staying in La Vigne. Madame was charming. The hotel is very small, only a couple of rooms I think, furnished impeccably with antiques, in a quiet but very central part of town within five minutes walk to many restaurants and the famous chateau. Madame went to a lot of trouble to lay out a wonderful breakfast in the dining room with a fine linen table cloth, best china, a range of croissants and bread, four variaties of jam, yoghurts etc. It was like stepping back into the C19th. Her son kindly made sure we had a parking space immediately in front of her gate. We would definitely return.

Such a stylish place to stay within a beautiful historic town added to by the charm of our hosts, Madame and her son. The decor of the house is gorgeously 'French' in that traditional way but made unique by Madame's amazing taste in modern artworks. What a find! Breakfast was impeccably presented, household linens first rate, attention to detail in every regard. We went to 2 of the local restaurants recommended, both were fab, and of course the chateau is not to be missed. Loved it all.

The Madam who owns and runs it w her son are absolutely wonderful people! She is in her 90’s and has led a fascinating life. Very interesting 400 yo home filled w history and antiquities. Our favorite place in France. Breakfast was super.

A truly unique experience. Elegance and comfort. A wonderfully courteous lady host made our welcome special. The Breakfast!! the ambiance, the feeling. A truly unique experience.

The owner was a very kind person and attentive. The house was filled with old family heirlooms making it quite a unique place to stay. The bed was very large and comfortable. The location was great, easy walking distance to most everything.

The breakfast was good and adequate, but for me, I would have preferred some muesli and fresh fruit to go along with it.

Excellent all around despite mix-up with rooms! Children made friends with the cat and all staff were helpful. The authentic and original surroundings such as books, paintings and mirrors combined with very comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and interconnected for our family of four made for a welcome and recharging stay. Location was also spot-on with all attractions close-by. Shout out to the Tourist Information office who helped us find emergency accommodation in Cherbourg when our Airbnb cancelled the night before our stay!!

Excellent quiet location but within 5 minutes walk of the centre of town. The property is an amazing old typical French house filled with antique furniture. It was a bit like staying in a film set. However the private bathroom was very modern which was perfect. We were greeted and looked after throughout our stay by a very nice man. Perfect for a stay in Amboise

Madame Stephanie was a delight. She welcomed us into her home which was full of antiques. The room was of average size with a comfortable double bed ( not an American queen sized). The bathroom had double sinks and appeared to have been recently renovated. Parking was in public free lots and was not a significant problem. Breakfasts consisted of fresh croissants, pain au chocolate, fruit , yogurt, local honeys and jams. There is a beautiful front garden and spacious back garden. She also has a very friendly cat. There is no central air although her son offered to install a room air conditioner which we did not need but might be required in the summer months.

Madam Stephanie who owns and runs La Petite Vigne and her son are absolutely wonderful people! A beautiful 17th century house, between its two gardens. The authentic and original surroundings, library, furniture and mirrors combined with modern clean bathroom. Location was also great - with all attractions in a walking distance. Traditional French breakfast was super.

Excellent friendly host who made you feel welcome in her home as soon as we arrived. The property was lovely and warm and cosy and extremely clean. Perfect location for visiting beautiful town of Amboise.

Little difficult to locate in the dark and the entrance did not have very easy access but once we located the main door we were very warmly welcomed.
