The Villa Roma is in the very heart of old town Amboise, right on the promenade, so the location could not be better. It is an Italian restaurant with few rooms in the back. Our room was spacious with fridge inside. Bed comfortable, all was very clean. Bathroom was small but clean and with all ammenities we needed. They have space for bicycles inside, under the roof, which is great for Loire cycling.

Nothing in particular, if one thing, maybe the room equipment was a bit basic, but we had everything we needed so I would not hold that against them.

The location is excellent and couldn’t be improved upon. The restaurant downstairs is very good indeed and we enjoyed the breakfast (in the same place) a lot. There’s an eccentric charm about the whole place, which was fun. The view from the bedroom windows is onto the street and the château opposite. The bed was very comfortable and all seemed clean enough. Nice, unique atmosphere.

We couldn’t find any WiFi, which was a surprise. There were things about the room, like the collapsing cupboard and neither cups nor milk for the tea/coffee, which seemed odd. The bathroom was ok, but needed some tlc and a bit of an upgrade. Climbing the narrow, vertiginous, ancient wooden staircase with heavy bags is, shall we say, a novel experience? Not for the faint-hearted, but, once you get used to it, perfectly manageable.

Location perfect for visiting Amboise. Friendly and welcoming staff. Spacious room and bathroom. Super comfy bed.

Had to boil kettle on the floor as kettle cable too short to reach plug sockets. Very squeaky floorboard on one side of bed. Staircase to 2nd floor is very steep and uneven and could cause problems to those with mobility issues.

A very helpful and welcoming staff, we were very well looked after! The rooms are comfortable, spacious and well decorated, you can believe the photos :-) The location is on the very busy street, it gets quiet after 22:00 (but we enjoyed it).

Loved the location. The room was great and had good view of the castle

The only issue was the stairs. I am 80 and they were steep and hard to navigate for young people. I only took my overnight clothes to room . The listing should state that it is not appropriate for elderly or those with mobility issues. Otherwise was superb.

We had a lovely warm welcome from the owner, who continued to look after us while we had dinner in their restaurant (also very much recommended). The rest of the staff were also lovely. The room was lovely - spacious, comfortable and kept cool even during the very hot weather. Breakfast was great too. The location was great, right in the heart of the old town, but also very quiet at night. People who struggle with stairs may find it a bit difficult to access, but not a problem for most. There was a secure place inside for our bikes too.

Amazingly convenient location in the centre of Amboise, right near the chateau and many restaurants. The breakfast was croissant, baguette and jams, with orange juice and coffee. They'll make you an espresso if you ask, which was awesome. Even though we were told the wifi wouldn't work in the room, only communal areas, it stretched to our room, which was convenient.

We needed to ask at the restaurant below as this B&B is not marked anywhere but is above the restaurant.

I was so lucky to stay here with a room directly opposite the castle Spacious room tastefully furnished. Super clean. Bed comfy Halftimbered building with lodgings above the restaurant and street vibe. Loved it. All the creaks and quirks you would expect. Loved it. Breakfast included. Fresh fruit and coffee. Wifi stretched to my room. Staff warm and welcoming Check in hours suited me very well

Excellent location, quiet, well organized, good breakfast.

Parquet would require a refurbishing, stains on the chair which makes it not looking very good.
