Loved the location, on an island, facing the city. About a 3/4 mile walk to the bridge that took us across to the old city. Very quiet. At the end of the road. lots of (free) parking on site. Lovely seating area outside, with lots of tables, trees and shade. Swimming pool. Large room. Modern bathroom. View of the river. One of the best meals of our trip was a dinner at their restaurant. Wonderful bakery in the park on the island, just north of the bridge. Wine bar on a barge just across the street.

Not air conditioned. Could have been an issue if it had been really hot. Fortunately, we had good weather. Locks to the outside door and our room were a bit old fashioned.

Because this hotel is located on an island in the Rhone River, it is very quiet and has ample parking, yet it is close enough to walk into the old city. The facility is beautiful and secure. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed for six days, because the hotel served as a perfect base for our exploration of Avignon, Arles, Nimes, the Pont du Gard, Les Baux, Roussillon, Senanque, and Glanum.

The only disappointment of our six-day stay at Auberge de la Treille was lack of attention to housekeeping. We had to make several requests to have our trash emptied and our towels changed.

As you entered through the gates you immediately felt you were at a French country house. Big trees festoon lights and outdoor furniture. The house is just like the picture with lovely patina and character. Welcoming hosts and stunning pool opposite to cool off. We enjoyed a French breakfast in the traditional dinning room. The stay was exceptional and unique a works away from a corporate hotel. It was a French experience. Avignon centre was amazing full of history stone buildings theatres and cafes.

It was all fabulous

The area is very calm and tranquil, surrounded by tall plane trees that offer great shade. The pool is beautiful with stunning views of the house, a classic French bastide style building. Everything was extremely clean and well-kept. The breakfast is simple but delicious and you wouldn't need any more. Easy arrival, access and parking.

The staff were very friendly; room was a good size; breakfast was good and we had one of our best meals of our trip here. On site parking is a bonus. Pool was a nice addition and very relaxing sitting around.

We walked into avignon from here and it was about a 25 min walk, so maybe get a taxi back!

The pool and property were absolutely stunning. Very quiet and lovely and felt like we were at a private chateau. Couldn’t have had a nicer time. Owners and their dogs were so sweet and kind.

Everything was perfect

The location was perfect on an island walking distance into Avignon. The room was amazing...huge,super comfortable bed,tea making facilities all with huge windows overlooking pool area.

Breakfast ....small but ample.

The villa is lovely and the ambience is very relaxing. It is actually a short walk to the old city across the bridge.

We had to leave early (around 7 am). There was no breakfast, coffee or any food before 8:30 am. This was a bit disappointing. Even if something could be left the night before would have been appreciated.

Lovely old building. Felt very safe close to city. Comfortable bedroom with excellent AC which could be set to minimal noise at night. Amazing boat for evening meals just beside gate and excellent meal at hotel on last night. Lovely staff and family around. Would be delighted to stay again

Wonderful place with warm and hospitable staff. Everything exceeded our expectations: the room, the amenities, the amazing dinner, the setting.

Mosquitoes and wasps! We were bothered by wasps that insisted on stealing some of the food off our plates during dinner outside; otherwise it was a truly gourmet meal in a beautiful setting.
