I stayed for a quick stopover before catching the ferry the next morning. The location was perfect - just a 15 minute drive to the Ouistreham ferry port, off the main road to Caen from Rouen. Across the other side of the junction was a large shopping centre for any last minute needs. It was a no-strings budget hotel, but staff on reception were pleasant. My room was on the second floor, accessible via a lift just off reception. The room was very clean, the shower and bathroom were great, and the bed was very comfortable. In the morning I was able to 'self check out' early, just leaving my room card in a box on the reception counter. The car park was right outside, on the corner but I was able to park so that I could see my car from my room.

The car park entrance was a little difficult to find in the dark.

The location is perfect for a stopover en route to or from the ferry. It's only 15 minutes drive to the ferryport. The bed was very comfortable, there was a good shower, and it was very clean. It was in a quiet area just off the motorway, and across the roundabout were numerous shopping centres and restaurants.

Awkward to get to and from as it is located on a commercial estate with a one way system and lots of roundabouts

The staff was particularly good, very helpful and and friendly, they were the highlight of the stay. They even organised a kids area at the reception, that was unexpected but would make me come again 👍👍👍

We left my daughter's favourite bunny rabbit in the room by mistake and the staff arranged for it to be posted back to us in the UK. We were so grateful, thank you!!!

Excellent, straightforward 'budget' breakfast, a very good start to the day. I really liked the fact that someone was on duty at reception day and night. The nearby Mondeville shopping mall is exceptional!

Traffic noise with the window open was excessive. However, the double glazing closes out the sound completely if you can bear to sleep with your windows closed (which, I know, some people can't).

Breakfast very good for the money. Clean room, friendly staff - especially as I checked in at 11:30pm. Good wifi. Hot shower. Environmentally - like the use of non-plastic cups in rooms, fewer towels and less waste at breakfast.

A bit hard to find - perhaps better signage from the peripherique. Shower trays are very slippy when wet so take care.

Great location, so close to the motorway and in a massive shopping area. Has a lift. Very pleasant and smartly dressed reception staff. Reception is 24 hr so the guy informed me. All clean and predictably IBIS. The shower room is a proper room, unlike some that are just a glass doored cubicle in the bedroom.

I was in room 320 and, unusually there was a fair bit of noise coming through from the neighbouring room. Fortunately they stopped early in the evening. Normally IBIS are totally silent. No fault of the hotel but the road systems in the shopping area arriving and leaving were not at all easy to follow.

Ibis Budget hotels are inexpensive and offer pretty pared down facilities. With that in mind, the showers had copious hot water, the rooms were clean and the breakfast nicely presented with fresh bread. The staff were exceptional.
