We had a fantastic stay at Big Sky Hotel, and it’s perfect for families with children! Our 10-year-old especially loved the game room, where they made new friends and had a brilliant time. The staff were absolutely superb—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The design of the hotel is fabulous and relaxed, with iconic lighting and stylish interiors that make it a joy to spend time in. The food and drinks were excellent, with plenty of options to please everyone. We can’t wait to return for another memorable family holiday!

Stunning views over the mountains from the room and the restaurant. Nice lobby with American pool and table football. Amazing swimming pool, sauna and fitness facilities. Water, coffee and tea provided in the room is also nice to have. Above all, the receptionists were very nice and helpful. Last but not least, after checking out, I could still enjoy the swimming pool and sauna until the afternoon.

The hotel is not well served by public transport, especially during Summertime. There is a bus stop of bus number 2 at the hotel but the bus only comes a few times per day. Most of the time, it doesn’t go there but ends at the stop before about 700m from the hotel. It would be fine if you don’t have much luggage. The food at the restaurant of the hotel is ok except for the fried sweet potatoes I’ve been served. They were really bad cooked, hard like stones! Maybe I was just unlucky :-) It would be also convenient to have a fridge in the room.

One of the best hotels, we’ve ever stayed in. Starting with amazing staff at the reception and bar/restaurant. Cozy and comfortable lobby makes you want to spend time there. There is a chillout zone with hammocks outside of the building. Parking is comfortable and big. Wellness zone has view on Mont Blanc - you can swim in the pool and look at magnificent mountain peaks. Room is spacious, even though we had the smallest one, it was quite big and comfortable for 2 people and big dog. It has tea and coffee. Room is cleaned everyday. GTA styles restaurant stole our hearts. We had a pizza day, it was really good. Hotel is pet friendly which is a big plus. Place is quite far from the city center but there is a free hotel transfer for guests without a car. Even though, the hotel is located next to the motorway, building is isolated, you cannot hear anything from outside.

We loved the size of the room and the view from the property. From the dining room, we could see Mont Blanc and the Aiguille du Midi. The hotel is pretty far south of Chamonix Centre, but there is a bus that leaves and returns right in front of the hotel, and there’s a regional express train that will take you into the city center. With a code from the hotel, you can get unlimited rides on the public transport for €6 for 3 days. The breakfast was really good, and the staff is very friendly. They even have crushed ice at the bar!

They have a restaurant where you can order food, but there is nothing else within walking distance. We had pizza there our first night, and it was delicious. I just wish there was a microwave where we could have reheated the leftovers.

This is what I'd call a pet and family friendly, sports oriented, spa hotel with the most amazing location. We were three and our room had a double bed and a couch that turned into a double bed. Everything was sparkling clean and there were spa robes and slippers provided for guests. the spa-ey area had a pool, a "hot" tub (but the water in the hot tub wasn't hot, just bubbly and massaging,) had 2 sauna rooms. One could also book things extra like massages. The grounds outside are wonderful -- plenty of spaces for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy and sit and/or play or relax. The lobby is totally dedicated to what I'd call the apres ski crowd. Plenty of couches and chairs, a fireplace, games to play, big screen tvs (mostly dedicated to the sport du jour.) Off the lobby is a fitness room with rowing machine and other machinery. And there is a separate room totally for kids to play, read, enjoy. The lobby extends to the restaurant where breakfast is served and where those who want to eat instide can do so, but there is a large terrace with tables everywhere if one wants to eat outdoors.

I was surprised to learn on the night we were there, that the ONLY thing on the menu was pizza. I think it's a thing where certain days are just that. And I asked, if one could get a salad to go with pizza --nope! just pizza. that is the reason for a "9" rating. That forced us to drive in to Chamonix and we did find finally some parking and ate a a kind of tapas bar, which was fine. For future, know that the Aiguille du Midi Alpine adventure has a parking lot of 900 spaces or so, so one could always park there and from there walk to many restaurants, businesses, etc. Pay for parking.

Beautiful property that feels so cosy and like one’s own home in the mountains. It’s what you’d get if you cross a large chalet and mountain apartments. Really loved the vibe—which is described very accurately by their Spotify playlist—70s & 80s funk. :) It is tastefully decorated, has good facilities all around, a lot of things to keep kids occupied, and best of all—very helpful, kind, and pleasant staff. There’s a lovely kids room, and lots of toys and books. Couldn’t be happier.

If you are not traveling by your own transport, and coming for Snowsports to the area, note that the public transit options are a little sparse. Although there’s a bus stop right in the property (which is very convenient), served by bus number 2, many buses don’t come to the hotel stop (it’s the last stop on line 2). Other options like train require a bit of walking.

We spent 1 week at Big Sky and it was wonderful! Everything was perfect, the room was really nice, modern and clean (they’ve cleaned the room everyday). The breakfast had plenty of options with quality food. We also ate dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. They had live music which was really nice. The hotel is renovated with a very modern touch, the personell is polite and helpfull. We also enjoyed the pool and it was nice to have this opportunity after a full day of skiing. Also, the location for us was perfect, we had our car so it was easy to go anywhere, and fast. The ski bus leaves several times a day, right in front of the hotel, so if you don’t want to take your car, you have this option. I really recommend this hotel, it’s great value for money!

Lovely cozy family hotel. Free pool and games to play. Nicely decorated with Christmas theme. Amazing staff at reception, very helpful and friendly. Nice pool area and pretty quiet both times we visited. We had a nice room with beautiful Mountain View. 10 minutes bus ride to Chamonix. Free parking.

We didn’t like the menu at the restaurant, it was an odd menu with more like picky food, rather than main meals. Also on our 3rd night some guests came back at 3am and were being loud and banging their doors every 5 minutes which kept waking us up, not the hotels fault though! Apart from those 2 things our stay was perfect!

The overall location and facilities are pretty cool. The mountain views, the pool, the decoration and vibes... Everything is fantastic to relax after a time hiking and skiing. Also, the bed was comfy and the bathroom clean and very complete. There is a bus stop just next to the hotel, which is convenient. Train station is not too far if you like to walk like us (around 20 min), and it is free all around the valley with the Carte d'Hôte they give you at the hotel.

For me, food in the dinner restaurant was too expensive for the quantity and quality. Breakfast had many options, but it was only correct. The main problem is that in the surroundings there is nothing unless you go to Chamonix. If you travel without a car, you'll need to take your time by using bus or train to head to Chamonix or other places in the valley.

We recently stayed at Big Sky hotel for six nights. The surrounding views and nature were incredibly peaceful and breathtaking. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a pool in the hotel, which was a big plus for us as a family with kids The room was not big , but clean , and had a wall warmer for the towels. Everyday cleaning services were provided The hotel offers a bus shuttle to Chamonix and back, There were also scheduled public bus #2 that stopped at the hotel. The train station is in 5 minutes walking distance. The good location of the hotel makes it a good choice for those who seek a relaxing getaway in the mountains .

We had a great time. However I wish it would be a drawer for the clothes in the room. For the family of 4 with 2 kids and for staying longer than just a weekend we really needed it. And no fridge in the room. The dining option was only a hotel's restaurant, but our 6y.o and 12y.o kids were limited in their choices , since no other places to eat within walking distance around.
