Lovely Hotel; a great location in a nice quiet residential part of town. It's less than a 10 minute drive to the centre of Le Mans and there is loads of cheap parking around all the activities in the city centre. Friendly staff throughout; they were both welcoming and helpful with tips for restaurants in the Old Town etc. Room itself was very nice, toilet was a bit small (separate from the bathroom/shower), but everything was clean and well looked after. Nice views across the gardens. There is a great Salon on the Lower Ground floor with a really splendid artificial fire, which was a genuine winner for my partner (along with a nice cup of tea) after a long day in town with a touch of rain on the air! As above, the separate toilet was very small and individual bedside lights might be nice rather than just a single light over the bed, but otherwise, all good.

Check in staff was friendly. Room was clean, quiet and the bed was quite comfortable.

Room did not have any utensils, crockery or a mini fridge. Members of my family has a severe gluten allergy so we had planned to bring our own food to have breakfast in our rooms instead of the buffet downstairs. When I asked for some plates, bowls and spoons from the staff at the desk, she was annoyed and told me that they generally don't allow this. I found it rather odd since the hotel also provides room service. Why would asking for crockery and utensils be an imposition against the hotel policy?

The gardens were very nice although the weather did not allow us to take advantage of them. The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful.

We travel with 2 dogs and understand the room quality usually offered is not the same as pet free. The room was quite large but needed an update. The room obviously doubled as a pet friendly room but could also be used for people with disabilities as the bathroom was a wet room and not a standard bathroom.

Very attractive property with easy parking; good rooms, super quiet. Very pleasant grounds with outside tables. Nicely equipped rooms and so quiet I woke really late! Super efficient and friendly staff. Owner run - no chain. Very well maintained.

No eating options in easy walking distance as hotel is in a pleasant residential district. Hotel offers a limited, but unusual and pleasing, set price evening meal. Limited bar facilites also available.

Lovely hotel with great gardens.. Really helpful staff gave us a map and showed us how to get into the centre for something to eat. It was very welcoming for our dog, and they gave us a room with easy access to the outside.

Would have been nice to have been able to have dinner at the hotel as we really didn't want to leave once we had arrived as it was so nice. Maybe a pre ordered meal before you arrive would be a good idea, and at least the owners know what food they need to do, so no unnecessary waste.

Beautiful setting for this hotel and well maintained - grass cut ‘remotely’ at 7am! Great location and only a short drive into the lovely city of Le Mans. We will return I’m sure to enjoy the hotel and garden as we arrived late evening and left early morning.

Nothing to dislike really, our room was on the ground floor which was perfect as we had our dog with us. The room was quite large, but a little ‘tired’.

The hotel was small but with a lovely garden, clean and comfortable rooms and two electrical charge points which was was huge bonus as we arrived by electric car. The member of staff on reception was polite, friendly and helpful and spoke English as well as French. The location of the hotel was also great with a 35 minute walk into the old town of Le Mans. There was a plug socket and two USB ports next to the bed which was perfect for us. We didn't take breakfast so we cannot comment on the breakfast or bar.

It would have useful to have somewhere we could get something to drink after the bar had closed e.g. a vending machine for bottles of water.

The host was excellent, friendly, attentive, and really seemed to care for his guests. Rooms were fully equipped with everything you needed, and the breakfast is typical French, which spot on for France. The gardens are large and set out for his guests to enjoy with a glass of wine on a warm summer's evening, and if it is cold, there are heaters built in the gazebo to keep you warm. Highly recommend hotel.

Nothing at all

Brief stopover on our way back to Calais. Stayed with our dog. Lovely setting and very convenient for coming off the motorway. Just to be aware if travelling with pets, the hotel restaurant was closed to recommend a restaurant which was about 15 min walk. Unfortunately the restaurant didn’t allow dogs to ordered a takeaway instead. Would definitely stay agin

The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the overall decoration in the room and the hotel is lovely. The evening meal and breakfast was good value for money and tasty.

The toilet is very noisy when flushed and I could hear one presumably in another room when it was being flushed. Only a slight irritant but didn't really bother me.
